What's wrong
Ziamatic Corp. (Zico) is recalling certain QR-D-S- and QR-TDS bracket assemblies used to secure D-cylinder oxygen tanks in ambulances. The bracket may loosen, potentially allowing the oxygen tank to be unsecured as the result of a crash.
Consequence
A loose oxygen tank may separate from the loosened bracket, potentially striking occupants and increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy
Zico has notified the affected vehicle manufacturers, and will refund the purchase price paid, or provide replacement bracket assemblies, free of charge. The recall began October 7, 2019. Owners may contact Zico customer service at 1-800-711-3473.
