What's wrong
Dexter Axle Company (Dexter Axle) is recalling certain Torsion Trailer Axles, models #10, #10F and #11. The brake mounting flanges may be incorrectly oriented, possibly resulting in premature brake failure.
Consequence
Premature brake failure can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dexter Axle will notify the trailer manufacturers that purchased the axles, and dealers for those manufacturers will inspect the axles and replace the entire axle, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began October 11, 2018. Owners may contact Dexter customer service at 1-574-295-7888.
