WHILE DRIVING ON I-40 BETWEEN WILLIAMS AND FLAGSTAFF, ARIZONA, THE LEVELING JACKS PANEL ACTIVATED AND BEGAN INDICATING THE DEPLOYMENT PROCESS WAS READY TO BEGIN. THE PANEL HAD BEEN SHUT OFF. I HAD DRIVEN FROM LAUGHLIN, NV BEFORE THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED. I STOPPED ON THE SIDE OF THE FREEWAY AND PERFORMED A MANUAL INSPECTION OF THE LEVELING JACKS. THEY DID NOT APPEAR TO HAVE LOWERED. I RESTARTED THE ENGINE, THE PANEL RESPONDED TO THE OFF BUTTON AND I CONTINUED TO MY DESTINATION IN FLAGSTAFF. UPON STOPPING AT MY CAMP SITE, I DEPLOYED THE JACKS AND THE COACH LEVELED. HOWEVER THE LEVELING COMPLETE LIGHT DID NOT ACTIVATE. THE PANEL CONTINUED TO INDICATE THE LEVELING PROCESS WAS NOT COMPLETE. UPON MY RETURN TO CALIFORNIA, I DROPPED THE COACH OFF AT THE DEALER - LAMESA RV ON JULY 9, 2015. THEY STILL HAVE THE COACH AND ARE STILL WAITING FOR PARTS TO COMPLETE REPAIRS.

THE FULL-WALL SLIDEOUT ON MY 2014 WINNEBAGO FORZA 38R OPENED WHILE COACH WAS IN MOTION. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND STOP WITHOUT INCIDENT. I FOUND THE FRONT OF THE SLIDEOUT FULLY EXTENDED AND THE REAR OUT ABOUT HALF WAY. I USED THE SLIDEOUT SWITCH AND A SERIES OF RETRACT/EXTEND ACTIONS TO BRING IT BACK IN. THE SLIDEOUT ALIGNED ITSELF AND FULLY RETRACTED AS A RESULT OF THESE ACTIONS. THE UNEXPECTED DEPLOYMENT HAPPENED AT 55 MPH ON A TWO-LANE ROAD. THERE WAS A 25 MPH LEFT-TO-RIGHT CROSS WIND WITH SEVERE BUFFETING AS TRUCKS PASSED IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. A SUBSEQUENT INSPECTION OF THE SLIDEOUT MECHANISM AT A WINNEBAGO DEALER FOUND NO BROKEN PARTS AND OPERATION TO BE NORMAL. *TR
