Defect Description
ABC BUS Inc. is recalling certain 2023-2024 Van Hool CX35 and CX45 vehicles equipped with Hydronic L-II heaters. The burner units may release excessive exhaust gas.
Consequence
Excessive exhaust gas can result in smoke poisoning or cause a vehicle fire, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy
Owners are advised not to use the heaters until they have been repaired. Dealers will inspect, rework, and calibrate the heaters to avoid excessive exhaust gas values, free of charge. SEAT BELTS:CRITICAL FASTENERS
Defect Description
Van Hool N.V. (Van Hool) is recalling certain 2024 CX45 vehicles. The seat belt assembly attachment screw may break.
Consequence
An unanchored seat belt may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace seat belt assembly screw on passenger seats, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 16, 2024. Owners may contact Van Hool customer service at 1-877-427-7278 or 1-407-656-7977.
