The contact's friend drove the vehicle to the intended destination. The contact's friend exited the vehicle and noticed a large amount of oil on the ground that had leaked from underneath the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with failed oil cooler hoses. The contact's friend was informed that the oil cooler hoses needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. In addition, the contact was informed that the previous unknown warranty for the failure description had expired. Since I bought the Venza, the brake has not been working well, so I am trembling with fear and the risk of an accident countless times. I didn't know how to claim this, so I endured it and drove this car until now. Today, after reading an article about Fisker's break issue investigation. I decided to report it to NHTSA. Please investigate this and resolve this issue.
On or around March 10, 2023, as my wife and daughter were driving the driver's side heated seat started burning/smoking. Immediately, my wife turned off the seat and returned home. I found there was an existing recall for this issue but only for the Southeast Toyota Distributors, I purchased my car in Missouri. I took the vehicle to the local dealership in Clarksville, Tennessee. Not only would they not honor the recall, but charged me $115.88 to confirm the burning of the seat. I contacted Toyota 7 times thus far and they are refusing to help because the recall only affected the Southeast Distributor group. I find this ludicrous as all the vehicles were made at the Georgetown, Kentucky plant. I simply want the remedy that Southeast Toyota Distributors gave their customers: Removal of bad heating unit, return of $115.88 charge of confirmation, and a return of the accessory charge I paid in December 2009. Thank you, [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

The heated seat on the driver side is creating a burning smell. I have read about numerous other issues with this model that have had recalls but not mine. This seat is still in tact and available for full inspection upon request. This is a major safety issue that is known about but not addressed. Major fire risk putting anyone inside vehicle in danger. I have a 2 year old daughter and if I didn’t have a lot of electrical and vehicle knowledge I could have easily left the heated seat on not knowing and caused a major risk for my entire family. Toyota needs to add the rest of the vehicles that have these issues into the recall. I have not taken into dealer yet just informed my wife not to use heated seat. I plan to take in soon to dealer but with a known issue it should be covered by a recall and not out of pocket. No police, insurance or manufacture have inspected yet. No warning lights on at all.

The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000.
Driving local freeway, 65 degrees and sunny, light traffic.... Loud impact sound but no cars in our immediate vicinity, nothing in the roadway. Once stopped, examined car and found the large panoramic sunroof had spontaneously exploded. Sunroof cover was in place so no glass fell into passenger compartment, thankfully. Pictures available. No inspection by dealer or insurance. No prior indications of any issues. No weather extremes at the time. No impact from any external or internal object could be found. Remaining glass in sunroof bulges upwards slightly

I AM HAVING SLEEPLESS NIGHTS AND SO ARE MY NEIGHBORS AND IT IS VERY ANNOYING FOR MY CO-WORKERS AND THE MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL IN OUR PARKING GARAGE OF 1000 PLUS CARS, TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH MY TOYOTA VENZA 2010'S ALARM SYSTEM TO KEEP GOING OFF EVEN WHEN NO ONE HAS TOUCHED THE PANIC BUTTON OR ALARM. THERE IS NO BREEZE, MOVEMENT NOR ANIMALS AROUND MY CAR AND IT GOES OFF DAY AND NIGHT. I HAVE TO CONSTANTLY WAKE UP AND PRESS MY ALARM OFF TO GET THE CAR TO STOP. THIS IS NOT NORMAL. I AM NOT SURE HOW I COULD KEEP PAYING A CAR NOTE ON A CAR THAT DOES THIS AND HOW THIS IS MY FAULT OR THAT OF ANY ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS. IT IS A MECHANICAL ISSUE AND SHOULD BECOME A RECALLED ITEM THAT IS FIXED BY TOYOTA. YOU FOLKS NEED TO GET THIS RECALLED. I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS MAJOR INCONVENIENCE, I HAVE SEEN 1000S OF COMPLAINTS ON IT. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO THE MECHANIC AND THEY HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIX IT. THEY SAY ITS A MANUFACTURER ISSUE.

AN ASSOCIATE INFORMED ME OF A RECALL OFF THE HEATING ELEMENTS FOR THE SEATS, BUT I HAD TO WAIT FOR MY VEHICLE TO BE INCLUDED. IT IS 6/11/2018 AND MY VIN IS STILL EXCLUDED FROM THE RECALLS FOR THIS SAFETY ISSUE. I CONTACTED TOYOTA DIRECTLY TODAY AND THEY STATED THERE ARE NO RECALLS AND HAVE NEVER BEEN ANY RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE. THEU ONLY STATED THEY WOULD DOCUMENT MY ISSUE (WHICH HAS BEEN REPORTED BEFORE). 94,000 MILES AWD VENZA WITH REAR DIFFERENTIAL TRANSAXLE LEAK. VENT ON THE AXLE MEANT TO RELEASE PRESSURE WHEN OIL HEATS UP, CLOGS WITH DEBRIS AND FAIL. 1ST TIME (NOV. 5TH, 2016), I WAS IN STOP & GO TRAFFIC ON THE HIGHWAY, I LET OFF OF THE ACCELERATOR, AND THE CAR ACCELERATED, I QUICKLY HIT THE BRAKE AND THE CAR SLOWED AND STOPPED. 2ND TIME (APRIL 12TH, 2017), I WAS CRUISING ABOUT 30MPH, I LET OFF OF THE ACCELERATOR AND THE CAR ACCELERATED, I QUICKLY HIT THE BRAKE AND THE CAR SLOWED DOWN. ON APRIL 12TH, 2017 I CALLED THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP, TOLD THEM WHAT HAPPENED AND ASKED IF THERE WAS ANY KIND OF RECALL - THEY SAID NO.
OUR 2010 VENZA HAS 80K MILES ON IT (POWERTRAIN WARRANTY IS 60K). AFTER HEARING A "WHIRRING" NOISE FROM THE REAR OF OUR VEHICLE, WE HAD IT INSPECTED. THERE IS A LEAK OF FLUID FROM THE LEFT AXLE SEAL WHERE IT MEETS THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL. THE DIFFERENTIAL WAS OPENED AND HAD ADEQUATE FLUID BUT THE FLUID HAD METAL FRAGMENTS IN IT, INDICATING THAT THE GEARS ARE GRINDING DOWN. ACCORDING TO OUR MECHANIC HE HAS SEEN THIS IN OTHER 2010 VENZA'S AND ONLINE FORUMS ALSO INDICATE HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM. WORST CASE SCENARIO - THE GEARS COULD SEIZE WHILE DRIVING AND RESULT IN A POTENTIALLY CATASTROPHIC ACCIDENT.
THE SUN VISOR ON BOTH WINDOWS KEEP FALLING DOWN INTO THE FIELD OF VIEW AND WILL NOT STAY UP. ONE VISOR NOW HAS A NOTICEABLE BUMP BY THE CONNECTOR TO THE CEILING, THE VISOR WILL FALL CONSTANTLY REGARDLESS OF IT IN MOTION OR STATIONARY.
DISTINCT SMELL OF OZONE / BURNING ELECTRICAL COMPONENT WAS NOTICED IN THE CABIN WHILE DRIVING ON A COLD DAY. PULLED OFF THE ROAD TO SAFETY AND INVESTIGATED FURTHER. AFTER CYCLING POWER SEVERAL TIMES, THE BURNING SMELL WAS VERIFIED TO BE COMING FROM THE DRIVER'S SEAT HEATER. SEAT HEATER TURNED OFF TO PREVENT POSSIBLE FIRE AND WILL BE EXAMINED BY A LOCAL BODY SHOP IN A FEW DAYS TO PINPOINT THE FAULT. *TR
