Defect Description
Strick Trailers, LLC (Strick) is recalling certain model year 2005-2009 single axle 28 foot van trailers manufactured July 25, 2004, to February 3, 2009 and equipped with rear impact guards using gussets 55997 and 555998. Consequence
If the rear impact guards do not meet the safety standards, it can increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Remedy
Strick will notify owners, and service centers will install reinforcements to the rear impact guards, free of charge. The recall began on June 15, 2016. Owners may contact Strick customer service at 1-260-692-1300.
