This motorcycle seems to have a fairly common problem of the engine cutting off at random times. Many people are experiencing it, its been happening for 4 years, and nobody on the tech forums has been able to figure it out. (This Continental GT 650 is the exact same motorcycle as the Interceptor 650, only differences are the handle bars, foot pegs and fuel tank shape). Some people experience a complete loss of power, while some people experience just the engine shutting down. The shut down happens either at standstill or while moving, usually when given throttle. This problem has been happening since Day 1 of ownership, and mine currently has less than 1,100 miles on it. The engine has shut down on me while driving pretty much every single time I ride it (usually after it warms up), many times in rush hour traffic, which is a major safety issue. Luckily it has not shut down on the freeway, which would be super dangerous. If you look online, you'll see that many people are experiencing the exact same issue.
