The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving on the highway at 55 MPH, she depressed the brake pedal as she attempted to exit the highway. Upon depression of the brake pedal, the vehicle suddenly downshifted as several warning lights appeared on the instrument panel. Due... to the failure, the contact lost control of the vehicle as the vehicle began to skid off to the shoulder of the road. The contact pulled over to the shoulder of the road and placed the vehicle into park(P). The contact resumed normal driving after the initial failure; however, the contact stated that the failure occurred again just before reaching her destination. Prior to the failure; the contact received a recall notice for NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V237000(Power Train); however, the part for the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the repair. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. My air conditioner went out and I was going to put car in reverse to see if the fans were working. When I put the key in I didn't start the car because my key wouldn't go forward or backwards it was just stuck and the steering column locked up. When I first purchased the vehicle in October 2022 I ha... d to have to front end suspension joints replaced the bar in the middle was cracked. It sounded and felt like the motor was going to fall out. I need to replace the back suspension due to very loud noises when driving like something is going to fall apart.Read more
