Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2003-2020 Porsche Macan, Cayenne, Panamera, and Cayman S, 2001-2004 Boxster, Boxster S, 2004 Boxster 50 JAHRE SPYDER 550 vehicles. Please see the recall report for a complete list of all affected models and model years. The caps that cover the low-beam headlight horizontal adjustment screws are missing, which can allow the headlights to be improperly adjusted. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Remedy: Dealers will inspect the headlights for sealing caps and install missing caps as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 28, 2022. Owners may contact Porsche's customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is ANB4.

(Porsche) is recalling certain 2003-2006 Cayenne S, Cayenne Turbo, 2004-2010 Cayenne, 2006 Cayenne Turbo S, 2010-2016 Panamera S, Panamera 4 S, Panamera Turbo, 2011-2016 Panamera, Panamera 4, 2012-2013 Panamera Turbo S, 2013-2016 Panamera 4 GTS, 2014-2016 Panamera 4 S Executive, Panamera Turbo Executive, Panamera Turbo S G1 II, Panamera Turbo S Executive, 2013 Panamera 4 Platinum Edition, Panamera Platinum Edition, 2016 Panamera 4 Edition, Panamera Edition, Panamera Turbo S Executive Luxury Sports vehicles. The bushing that attaches the gear selector lever to the gearbox may degrade over time, causing the bushing to detach. This condition could allow the driver to move the shift lever to Park and remove the ignition key, while the transmission may not be in Park, with no warning message or audible chime.
Remedy: Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will replace the shifter cable bushing, free of charge. Owners are instructed to use the parking brake until their vehicle is repaired. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2010-2016 Panamera 4S and Panamera S, 2011-2016 Panamera, Panamera 4 and Panamera Turbo, 2012-2016 Panamera Turbo S and Panamera S E-Hybrid, 2013-2016 Panamera GTS, 2013 Panamera Platinum Edition and Panamera 4 Platinum Edition, 2014-2016 Panamera 4S Executive, Panamera Turbo Executive and Panamera Turbo S Executive, 2015 Panamera Diesel and 2016 Panamera 4 Edition, Panamera Edition and Panamera Turbo S Exclusive Series vehicles. Water may enter the A/C blower control unit, causing an electrical short circuit.
Remedy: Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the blower control unit, replacing it as necessary, free of charge. The recall began February 10, 2020. The affected vehicles have camshaft controllers that may come loose inside the engine, potentially resulting in an engine stall.
Remedy: Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fastening screws for the camshaft adjusters, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 12, 2018. I am reporting an issue with the AH08 recall (NHTSA Campaign 17V368) for my 2011 Porsche Panamera 4S. I experienced the failure on December 27, 2024, while driving on the highway. I scheduled repair at Porsche Greensboro (Foreign Cars Italia) for Dec 31, 2024, but they kept my vehicle for 33 days without completing any recall work. They then advised me to contact another dealer. I arranged to have the vehicle towed to Porsche Southpoint in Durham, NC, for a February 3, 2025 appointment. As of June 2025, none of the recall repairs have been performed, and the dealer is requesting $12,000 to disassemble the engine for damage stemming from the AH08 issue—work that should be covered under the recall. I have not received any response from the dealership despite repeated requests. I am requesting NHTSA’s assistance in enforcing compliance with the recall requirement and investigating this prolonged failure to perform mandatory safety repairs.

On [XXX], I experienced the failure associated with the AH08 recall while driving on the highway. I promptly scheduled an appointment at Porsche Greensboro (Foreign Cars Italia) for December 31, 2024, at 8:00 AM (Confirmation Code: [XXX]) to address recalls AH08, AKA7, AKB1, and ANB4. Despite keeping my vehicle for 30 days, Porsche Greensboro did not complete any of the recall services and ultimately informed me that they could not perform the work in a timely manner, advising me to contact another dealership. Following this, I scheduled an appointment at Porsche Southpoint for February 3, 2025, at 9:20 AM (Confirmation Code: [XXX]), and Porsche Greensboro arranged to have the vehicle towed there. However, as of today, Porsche Southpoint has not completed the recall repairs and is requesting $12,000 (50% upfront) for engine disassembly related to failures stemming from the AH08 recall. This is deeply concerning, as recall repairs should be addressed promptly and at no cost to the vehicle owner. To date, my vehicle has been out of service for nearly six months with no resolution. I respectfully request your immediate assistance to ensure that the recall repairs are completed without further delay or financial burden to me, in accordance with NHTSA and Porsche’s recall obligations. I have included correspondence with both Porsche Greensboro and Porsche Southpoint for your review. Due to a problem with my car engine, the car would not accelerate and would move slowly despite pressing on the pedal. The car screen indicated that it was PCM problem (the gas would not come up) and it was a reduced engine problem. The car not accelerating despite pressing the pedal can pose serious safety problems. I have not taken the car to a dealer to repair yet.

The contact owns a 2011 Porsche Panamera. The contact stated while driving approximately 15 MPH, the transmission failed to shift as designed. The contact stated that the transmission and check engine warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number 19V446000 (Power Train). The approximate failure mileage was 101,000.

Every time I drive the vehicle for any distance or speed when I park I can smell fuel. The odor is very strong when I park in the garage. The Odor will last a few hours then go away. But if I have not drove the vehicle that day no odor will be present. It Is smelled back by the gas cap leading me to believe it’s ether the fuel hose receiver or the fuel pump that after investigation have found out the fuel pump is under the back seat on the passenger side. But it is important to note there is never a fuel smell inside the vehicle.

THE ENGINE OF MY PORSCHE PANAMERA WENT INTO A TOTAL FAILURE BECAUSE OF FAULTY DESIGN/PARTS BY THE MANUFACTURER (I.E. SCREWS BROKE INSIDE THE CAMSHAFT/BLOCK). AFTER DOING RESEARCH ONLINE, THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH PORSCHE PANAMERA, EVEN THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE DEALERSHIP (PORSCHE OF ORLANDO) TOLD ME THIS. DUE TO THIS ISSUE, THE CAR, WHILE MY SON WAS DRIVING, ESSENTIALLY STOPPED WORKING AND QUICKLY DECELERATED FROM 70 MPH TO A COMPLETE STOP IN A MATTER OF SECONDS. LUCKILY, THE SEMI THAT WAS BEHIND HIM MANAGED TO AVOID A COLLISION WHICH, IF SUCH A COLLISION WERE TO HAPPEN, COULD HAVE EASILY KILLED MY SON. PORSCHE ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THIS PROBLEM EXISTS AND A SIMPLE INTERNET SEARCH WILL DISPLAY MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS OF IDENTICAL PROBLEMS WITH THIS VEHICLE'S ENGINE BUT PORSCHE IS NEGLIGENT BY REFUSING TO ISSUE A RECALL ON THE VEHICLES SUSCEPTIBLE TO THIS PROBLEM. NOT ONLY IS THIS A HAZARD, PORSCHE REFUSES TO ISSUE REPARATIONS TO OWNERS AFFECTED BY THIS PROBLEM LEAVING PEOPLE LIKE ME OUT OF WARRANTY AND A CAR AS THE ONLY SOLUTION IS A COMPLETE ENGINE REPLACEMENT WHICH COST MORE THAN THE CAR IS WORTH. "TAKATA RECALL" CAMSHAFT ADJUSTER BOLT PIN BROKE OFF AND CAMSHAFT CAME A PART. INCIDENT HAPPENED ON FREEWAY. HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOOK A PART THE ENGINE AND FOUND A BUNCH OF METAL IN THE OIL PAN. THE ENTIRE ENGINE HAD TO BE REPLACED. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE ON CARS IMPORTED INTO CHINA BUT THAT DID NOT COVER MY CAR. PORSCHE KNEW ABOUT THIS PROBLEM BUT REFUSING TO FIXED. THE COST OF THE NEW ENGINE IS $25000. THE CARS SHOULD BE RECALLED IN UNITED STATES BY PORSCHE. ITS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE WITH THOUSANDS OTHER COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER DRIVERS. VEHICLE HAS A PUSH BUTTON TO CLOSE TRUNK (HATCH). THE HATCH IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE A SAFETY MECHANISM TO PREVENT ITEMS FROM BEING CRUSHED ON CLOSING. A PIECE OF LUGGAGE WAS BETWEEN THE LATCH AND THE TOP OF THE HATCH AND, ON CLOSING, BECAME WEDGED TO THE POINT THAT THE ONLY WAY TO OPEN THE HATCH WAS TO CUT THROUGH THE CAR FROM THE INSIDE (REAR SEATS FALL DOWN) TO ACCESS THE LATCH MECHANISM. IF A THE HATCH DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY RETRACT WITH A LUGGAGE STRAP (WHAT ELSE DOES ONE MUST OFTEN PUT IN THE TRUNK OF A CAR OTHER THAN LUGGAGE), SEEMS LIKELY THAT THE HAND OF A SMALL CHILD COULD LIKEWISE BE CRUSHED BY THE AUTOMATIC LATCHING MECHANISM. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 PORSCHE PANAMERA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART AND WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT ONE OF THE ENGINE BOLTS DISLODGED INTO THE ENGINE WHICH CAUSED SEVERE DAMAGE. THE ENGINE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000.

BOTH REAR TIRES, PIRELLI PZERO 275/45ZR18, WERE SEVERELY WORN AT 7430 MILES. THEY WERE REPLACED BY THE DEALER AT MY EXPENSE OF APPROXIMATELY $950.00. I AM A VERY CONSCIENTIOUS DRIVER AND CHECK THE TIRE PRESSURES DAILY. I BELIEVE THIS IS A POTENTIAL SAFETY ISSUE, SINCE YOU WOULD NOT EXPECT TIRES TO BE ON THE VERGE OF BLOWING OUT WITH JUST 7,400 MILES. I HAVE THE TIRES IN MY POSSESSION. *TR
