WHILE MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN FROM A STOP, THE STEERING COLUMN FELL INTO MY LAP. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER THE FOLLOWING MORNING AND WAS INFORMED OF A SET OF 4 PINS THAT WORK THEMSELVES LOOSE. THE DEALER TOLD ME ON THIS PARTICULAR MODEL IT HAPPENS RATHER OFTEN. THEY PUT THE PINS BACK IN AND GLUED THEM TO MAKE SURE THEY WOULD NOT FALL OUT AGAIN. ABOUT 6 MONTHS LATER, STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN BECAME EXTREMELY WOBBLY AGAIN. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND TOLD ME THE GLUE MUST HAVE NOT HELD. THE PLACEMENT OF LIQUID LINE HOSE WAS AGAINST FAN HOUSING AND RUBBED A HOLE IN THE HOSE. WHICH CAUSED ALL OF THE FREON TO LEAK OUT OF THE SYSTEM.

AT 70,000 MILES MY ENGINE HAD A BLOWN HEAD GASKET AND A CRACKED HEAD WHICH HAS COST ME A TOTAL OF $1000.00 FOR PARTS AND LABOR. I CONTACTED G.M. AND THEY TOLD ME '93 & '92 MODELS WERE REACALLED FOR THIS SAME EXACT PROBLEM, HOWEVER MY CAR DOES NOT HAVE A RECALL. I FEEL I SHOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR MY COST SINCE MY ENGINE PROBLEM IS IDENTICAL TO THE PREVIOUS RECALL. *AK
STEERING WHEEL FELL INTO DRIVERS LAP WHEN MAKING A RIGHT TURN INTO A DRIVE WAY. STREERING COLUMN DROPPED INTO DRIVER LAP AND STEERING WAS IMPOSSIBLE!!*AK
THE STEERING WHEEL ADJUSTMENT PINS KEEP FALLING OUT CAUSING THE WHEEL TO WOBBLE. THERE ARE TWO PINS THAT KEEP FALLING OUT, WE REMOVE THE WHEEL IN ORDER TO PUT THEM BACK IN PLACE, HOWEVER THEY CONTINUE TO COME OUT. I T IS VERY DANGEROUS WHEN IT HAPPENS DURING DRIVING . THE WHEEL ALMOST SITS ON MY LAP. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I CAN DO. THESE PINS HAVE MANY SCREWDRIVER MARKS, WHICH MAKES ME THINK THAT THE PREVIOUS OWNER MAY HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, AND SOMEONE FIXED IT TEMPORARILY. I DO NOT WANT TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER FOR THEY ARE ASKING AN OUTRAGEOUS AMOUNT TO LOOK INTO IT. FAILURE NUMBER 1 - THIS VEHICLE HAS POWER DOOR LOCKS. THE LEFT FRONT DOOR LOCK FAILED AND THE DOOR WOULD NOT LOCK OR UNLOCK BY USE OF EITHER THE ELECTRICAL SWITCH OR THE MANUAL LATCH. TO EXIT THE AUTOMOBILE REQUIRED THAT THE DRIVER CLIMB OVER THE CENTER CONSOLE AND LEAVE THROUGH THE PASSENGER DOOR OR CLIMB INTO THE BACK SEAT AND LEAVE THROUGHT ONE OF THE REAR DOORS. FAILURE NUMBER 2 INVOLVED A SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR.

WHILE DRIVING AT 20 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN FELL OFF INTO CONSUMER'S LAP. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THAT STEERING WHEEL COLUMN FELL OFF, AND THE DEALER CAN'T DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. *AK
CRACKED ENGINE HEAD CAUSED ANTIFREEZE LEAKAGE, CAR SPUTTERS. HAD TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $450 FOR THE HEAD CORE, EXCLUDING LABOR AND ADDITIONAL COSTS. IT HAS COME TO MY ATTENTION THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND THAT SOME DEALERS ARE GETTING THIS PART AT NO COST FOR REPLACEMENT. WOULD LIKE TO BE REIMBURSED FOR AT THE VERY LEAST THE COST OF THE HEAD CORE UNIT! *AK
