(Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2012-2015 Nissan Versa sedan vehicles manufactured June 9, 2011, to March 11, 2015, and 2014-2015 Nissan Versa Note vehicles manufactured April 23, 2013, to March 11, 2015. The affected vehicles have a center console trim panel that may catch the driver's shoe and delay the transition from the accelerator pedal to the brake pedal.
Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will modify the console trim panel, free of charge. The recall began on September 14, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will install and tighten to specification the lower body sill bolts, as needed, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin August 19, 2013. Owners may contact Nissan at 1-800-647-7261.

CVT Transmission slip and judder. Upon full stop, only drives after turning ignition off and on again. Getting stuck at traffic light stop and holding up the traffic for 30 seconds every stop is a safety concern for myself and others. P0868 - FLUID PRESS LOW P0965 - PC SOLENOID B P17F0 - CVT JUDDER (T/M INSPECTION) Vehicle has been inspected and diagnosed by Nissan dealership. There has been no warning lamps to warn of the issue, other than check engine light.

I had an accident, and it was pretty bad and my air bags did not deploy. The car might be a total loss and I was very surprised and concerned that the bags did not deploy. Even my phone detected the crash and alerted my family members. That happened immediately after the crash.

Over the past 4 years I have delt with my 2014 Nissan Versa Note SV constantly stalling in the middle of the road. I have replaced the transmission, TCM, and brake light wiring harness. I have had the Nissan dealership assess my vehicle three different times for 3+ days. They have completed wiring diagnostics and determined that the brake light wiring harness is getting water into the wiring causing a short and blowing the #49 fuse under the hood that also operates the transmission CVT/TCM. Their solution was to replace the wiring harness. This was completed last week. It rained again the last couple days off and on. The fuse has blown again. This causes the vehicle to stall in the middle of the road. There is no advanced warning or messages that appear. The check engine light does not come on either. It is way too hot out for my new baby for the vehicle to stall and not be able to run. Cars begin honking and swerving around my vehicle. The vehicle has to be pushed out of the road. Fuse after fuse has been replaced. New light bulbs. New wiring harness and still the same outcome. Please help.

Up to $7,000 to get fixed. The second issue is the steering. The steering gear has gone out. It makes a clicking noise when turning. This is so bad the mechanic said not to drive the car anymore. $1100 to fix. We now need to pay as much to fix the car as we owe on it.

My transmission went out pre-maturely on the high way and I almost got rear-ended. It’s a CVT transmission which has had a class action lawsuit which I wasn’t aware of when I bought car in 2020. Nissan should hold more responsibility but they refuse to help my basically totaled car.
Heat shields for exhaust system particularly protecting the gas tank from high heat tear easily at bolts making a rattling sound as a first symptom. This causes cracks in the heat shield which is flimsy, thin material. It poses a risk to drivers in that the gas tank could explode due to lack of protection or from poor protection from heat of exhaust. The sheer number of Nissan Versa and Versa Plus heat shields failing is alarming.

I was the driver, and was tbone by someone on passenger side. My speed was 33mph, none of my airbag went off. I've became injuried badly since the accident. The vehicle came straight from manufacturer to dealership, then to me. No accidents was reported before mine. No, I didn't see any warning light, everything looked okay, I bought this car from dealership, was told no problem with it, unfortunately it took an accident to find out the hard way.

When reaching speeds around 20 mph, usually on turning corners, car feels like its 'skipping' not catching (so this could be like when picking up speed after reducing speed). I'm currently having wheel bearings replaced and the certified mechanic working on it says it appears to be transmission related and recommended me to take it to Nissan as he assumed (wrongly!) that it should still be covered under warranty. The vehicle has 71,000 miles. This issue doesn't always appear and is random as to showing up, but it is frequent.

CVT transmission would not shift gears. CVT is an automatic transmission, that's supposed to shift automatically. The car would be stuck in low gear causing problems while driving. I took car to Nissan dealer and purchased new CVT transmission
Regarding my 2014 Nissan Versa Note, with "continuous variable (cone shaped) transmission": I first noticed the transmission issue beginning June of 2021. took it back to the dealership where I got my car from they did not help me at all and took it to mechanic shop to look at it looked at and I'm changing my transmission fluid twice and no codes popped up on the scanner and now I'm sitting here with no vehicle engine runs is just a CVT transmission is the issue please help
The problem that the vehicle has is in the transmission. It does not have any light on the panel to notify me of any problem. My vehicle has 57000 miles and the transmission changes irregularly and sometimes it goes down without having slowed down, forcing me to stop completely on the road it is truly worrying. I have done internet searches on 2014 Versa transmissions and many people have had the same problem.

When my husband first experienced it, he told me to shift to neutral and back to drive which seems to work; however being on a public thoroughfare and manually shifting gears to keep moving forward seems like a MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. I have read several posts regarding this same issue. MY QUESTION IS: Why hasn't this American/Japanese automobile conglomerate addressed this SAFETY ISSUE WITH A TRANSMISSION RECALL?

I had no clue as they were fixing and servicing this car. I call nissan affairs dept as i had to pay $5050.00 to replace it out of my pocket! Nissan states out of warranty 5 months ago!!. I inquired to why i was NEVER contacted about transmission issues and problems or the opportunity to be included in the civil action with this vehicle. They CLAIMED they had the old owners information which is a LIE as i have received prior documentation for warranty notifications in my name! excuse after excuse to not help me. that got me good with the 5050.00 for an ongoing issue for this vehicle. The floor mat of the driver side has two (2)plastics hooks to hold the mat in place. If the hooks are broken or missing the mat slice of the accelerator and brake paddle. If the mat is on top or bottom of the paddle, it interferes with the brake or accelerator. These are two (2) plastic hooks. I called the dealer and Nissan does not offer these parts, the plastics hooks. The only offer the WHOLE carpet with the hooks for $500 plus. This is absurd. This means that I need to pay $500 for TWO plastics hooks. Remember if this hooks are not holding the mat an incident can occur. In my opinion, this is a safety issue. Nissan SHOULD have this parts available or provide parts more durable, no plastic parts.
MY CVT TRANSMISSION WENT OUT ON MY VEHICLE WHICH IS 7 YEARS OLD, AND HAS 124,XXX MILES ON IT. THE MORE I READ ONLINE THAT THIS ISSUE IS COMMON, WITH SIGNIFICANTLY LESS MILES ON IT. MY CAR WOULD OFTEN SHAKE OR VIGOROUSLY VIBRATE, AND HAD THE TRANSMISSION GO OUT WHILE DRIVING ON A BUSY HIGHWAY.
AFTER HAVING THE TRANSMISSION RECALL UPDATE PERFORMED BY NISSAN THE TRANSMISSION IS HAVING ISSUES WITH SHIFTING. I HAVE TO LET OFF OF THE ACCELERATOR FOR THE TRANSMISSION TO DOWNSHIFT. I CONTACTED NISSAN AND THEY MADE A CASE AND SAID I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM TO FIX THE PROBLEM EVEN THOUGH THEY KNEW OF THE ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION.
