ZF SERVICE IS RECALL CERTAIN CLUTCH KIT ASSEMBLIES, PART NUMBER SX: K70358-01, SHIPPED TO WHOLESALERS AS SERVICE PARTS BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 1, 2010, AND MARCH 8, 2011. THESE SERVICE PARTS ARE INTENDED FOR USE ON MODEL YEAR 2003-2006 NISSAN 350Z AND INFINITI G35 VEHICLES. THE SX: K70358-01 CLUTCH KIT CONTAINS AN OVERSIZED CLUTCH DISC.
Remedy: ZF SERVICE NOTIFY WHOLESALERS TO RETURN ANY AFFECTED CLUTCH KIT ASSEMBLIES STILL IN INVENTORY FOR FREE REPLACEMENT KITS. THIS CONDITION WILL CORRECT ITSELF AFTER THE FIRST START-UP AND USAGE OF THE CLUTCH KIT. HOWEVER, IF AN OWNER IS NOT SATISFIED WITH ITS PERFORMANCE, ZF SERVICES WILL REIMBURSE THE OWNER FOR THE COST OF THE REPLACEMENT CLUTCH KIT AND A REASONABLE AMOUNT FOR ITS INSTALLATION. My 350Z was overheating so I took it to Sun Devil Auto in Sun City West. Sam Malone inspected it. He said I needed a new radiator, hoses, gaskets for a price of $1400.00+ .I went to the Firestone dealer in Surprise on Meeker, he told me to go put antifreeze in and check ot out. I did and no overheating now? Mr. Malone lied to me and I want him fired.

The contact owns a 2004 Nissan 350Z. The contact stated while refueling the vehicle, after stepping away from the vehicle, the contact was alerted by his passenger that there was a fuel leak underneath the vehicle. The contact stated that the passenger was alerted by the odor of gasoline. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump filler neck needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The local dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 131,000.

The airbag light came on for no reason, has never come on before. No accidents, fender bender, no bumps. Shop read an error code of B1129. Checked right passenger SRS seat connections as code suggests and reset the light. Light came back on in two days. Shop says airbag may not deploy and can not determine the exact cause. could easily cost over a $1000 to fix depending on issue. Airbags should not have issues like this. Nissan already has a service campaign for the same issue on later model 350Z. Please encourage Nissan to include the 2004 model as well. From all my research into resolving this issue, I can see there are a lot of other 350Z owners affected as well. Please help us. The contact's girlfriend owns a 2004 Nissan 350Z. The contact stated that upon refueling the gas tank, a large amount of gasoline began to leak out from the gas tank and underneath the vehicle. The contact also stated that upon entering the vehicle, a strong fuel odor began to emit from the vehicle. Due to the failure, the contact had the vehicle towed to his home. The contact called the dealer and they informed him that there were no recalls on the vehicle. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 05V555000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) which he linked to the failure. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 115,000.

ON 1/15/20 I TOOK THE CAR OUT AND THE CAR WAS BOUNCING ALL OVER THE ROAD, I TOOK IT BACK TO DISCOUNT TIRES IN LAS VEGAS NEVADA ON THAT SAME DAY AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE BALANCE OF THE TIRES. WHEN THE TECHNICIAN TRIED TO BALANCE THE TIRES HE SAID THEY ARE OFF BY OVER 1 OUNCE. ANOTHER TECH CAME AND TRIED TO BALANCE THE TIRES AND FOUND A BULGE ON ALL 4 TIRES AND OPTED TO REPLACE THEM ALL,I ONLY HAD 69 MILES ON THE TIRES! I HAVE TO SAY IN ALL MY YEARS I HAVE NEVER SEEN TIRES DEVELOP BULGES LIKE THESE AND ALL 4 NEEDING REPLACEMENT WITH ONLY 69 MILES ON THEM! 350Z RECALL. 2004 350Z . ORIGINAL OWNER OF CAR. A COUPLE WEEKS AGO, WHILE DRIVING CAR HESITATED, THEN RESUMED BUT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TCS OFF LIGHT AND SLIP LIGHTS ON, AND REMAINED ON. THIS WEEK WHILE DRIVING 40MPH WITHOUT WARNING THE CAR HESITATED BUT ACTUALLY STALLED. I WAS ABLE TO SOMEWHAT SAFELY PULL TO RIGHT SIDE OF ROAD. AFTER 15 MINUTES OF MAKING SEVERAL PHONECALLS THE CAR JUST STARTED AS IF NOTHING WAS WRONG AND I DROVE IT HOME. TODAY IT STARTED FINE. WHILE ENROUTE TO NISSAN DEALERSHIP SERVICE GARAGE 1 MILE TO GO WHEN AT 70MPH STALLS WHILE IN NEARING FIVE OCLOCK TRAFFIC. THANKFULLY ABLE TO SOMEWHAT SAFELY GET OUT OF DRIVING LANE ONTO SHOULDER WITH STEERING WHEEL AND BRAKE PEDAL INCREASINGLY BECOMING HARDER TO OPERATE, PUT ON FLASHERS AND WAITED. I WAS ABLE TO START AFTER 15 MINUTES WITHOUT ANY ACCIDENTS AND SHAKILY TOOK TO DEALERSHIP.

WITHIN WARRANTY PERIOD THE AIRBAG WAS PREVIOUSLY REPLACED BY PLANET NISSAN (DEALER LAS VEGAS, NV) IN 2004 OR 2005, NOT SURE OF SPECIFIC DATE. DEALERSHIP SAID IT WASN'T COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BUT THEY WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT.

HAPPENED IN THE DRIVEWAY, FORTUNATELY. WHEN THE CLUTCH PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, IT STAYED DOWN, AND IN GEAR. IT WAS DIFFICULT TO FORCE THE CAR OUT OF GEAR. I WAS THEN ABLE TO MANUALLY LIFT THE PEDAL, AND PUMP IT SOFTLY TO MAKE IT STAY UP. THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED SINCE. IT IS A HYDRAULIC CLUTCH' NO LEAKS, AND CLUTCH REPLACED 2 YEARS AGO. THE CAR HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED WITH ONLY 55K MILES ON IT. LOOKING ON THE INTERNET I SEE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM, AND VERY UNSAFE IF YOU ARE DRIVING AND CAN'T GET IT OUT OF GEAR.

I HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH CAUSING THE CAR TO PERIODICALLY NOT START. A MECHANIC MADE A PREVIOUS DIAGNOSIS BUT SAID THERE WERE NO SAFETY CONCERNS. THE CAR EVENTUALLY WOULD START ALL, REQUIRING DOWNTIME FOR REPAIR. SOMETIMES AFTER SITTING OVER NIGHT AND SOMETIMES AFTER SEVERAL ERRANDS THE CAR WON'T START BUT NEVER THIS SUDDEN STALL. TODAY, THE CAR STALLED WHILE I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN. IT WAS A TWO LANE MOUNTAIN ROAD. CARS WERE ABLE TO GET AROUND ME WITHOUT INCIDENT AND I WAS ABLE TO COAST BACKWARDS TO A PLACE OF SAFETY. I LET THE CAR SIT FOR ABOUT 10 MIN. WHICH IS MY USUALLY WHAT I DO WHEN IT WON'T START. THE GAS GAUGE DOES NOT SHOW FULL WHEN THE TANK IS FULL. THIS IS CAUSED BY FAULTY SENSORS IN THE TWO TANKS WHICH NISSAN REFUSES TO ADMIT. I ALONG WITH HUNDREDS OF OTHERS ON ONLINE FORUMS HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE AND HAVE TO SPEND MONEY OUT OF OUR POCKETS ALTHOUGH THIS IS CLEARLY A DEFECT. IT SEEMS TO BE WITH THE 2003/2004 MODELS. THOUSAND OF REPORTED CASES OF NOT BEING ABLE TO FUEL UP THE NISSAN 350Z. THE PROBLEM SOURCE IS THE FILLER NECK SHUTTER VALVE. NISSAN IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE FOR YEARS AND HAVE BEEN MAKING CUSTOMER FOOT THE $400-$500 BILL INSTEAD OF TAKING ACTION ON THE FAULTY PART. THE FAULTY SHUTTER VALVE CAUSES FUEL TO SPEW OUT WHILE FILLING THE TANK COVERING THE CAR AND OPERATOR IN FUEL. THE RISKY PART IS PEOPLE ARE CHANGING THE WAY THEY FILL TO TRY TO BYPASS THE ACTION OF THE SHUTTER VALVE BUT ALSO WORKS AGAINST THE SAFETY FEATURES OF THE GASOLINE NOZZLE CAUSING IT TO NOT SHUT OFF WHEN FUEL REACHES MAX. THE FUEL GAUGE IN MY 2004 NISSAN 350Z FLUCTUATES UP AND DOWN. IT HAPPENS AFTER FUELING, AND UPON DRIVING THE CAR. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO 2 DIFFERENT NISSAN SERVICE DEPTS. FOR REPAIR. THE FIRST TIME, THEY SAID IT WAS A FAULTY FUEL SENSOR, AND REPLACED IT. THEY SAID IT WAS FIXED, BUT WHEN I DROVE IT, THE GAUGE FLUCTUATED AGAIN. TOOK IT BACK, BUT THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT AND COULDN'T DO ANYTHING ELSE SINCE THERE WERE NO CODES COMING FROM THE COMPUTER. SO TOOK MY CAR TO A 2ND NISSAN SERV. DEPT AND THEY SAID THEY FIXED IT BY REPLACING THE OTHER FUEL SENSOR (SINCE THERE ARE 2), BUT STILL FAULTY. I DO NOT KNOW HOW MUCH GAS I HAVE IN MY TANK AT ANYTIME. NISSAN 350Z HAVE A FUEL GAUGE PROBLEM IN WHICH MANY ARE EXPERIENCING. WHEN THE GAUGE REACHES BELOW 1/4 TANK FULL IT WILL SHOW AS EMPTY. THE COSTS QUOTED FOR THIS SERVICE WERE: - DIAGNOSIS (ALREADY PAID) $120.00 - REPLACEMENT OF 2 PARTS$1,450.00 - TAX, REPAIR NOT ESTIMATED THE CAR HAS ONLY 31,360 MILES ON IT AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN GARAGED AND SELDOM DRIVEN IN THE WINTER. THE PREVIOUS OWNER OF MY 2004 NISSAN 350Z HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. 2 NEW CLUTCHES AT $2,500 EACH BY THE TIME IT HIT 35,000 MILES. I BOUGHT THE CAR NOT KNOWING ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND THE CLUTCH COMPLETELY BURNED OUT WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. NISSAN IS NO LONGER WILLING TO WARRANTY THE ARIBAGS, SINCE THE CAR HAS 116,000 MILES (PER 2/5/10 CALL FROM CONSUMER AFFAIRS DIVISION). THEIR WTY IS 60 MOS OR 60K MILES; HOWEVER, THE SEAT BELT WTY IS 120 MOS. OR 120K MILES. THE AIRBAGS ARE A SAFETY ISSUE THAT ARE JUST AS IMPORTANT IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH AS SEAT BELTS. THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN DEPLOYED. I SUGGESTED NISSAN RECONSIDER THE AIR BAG WTY AND ASSIST ME WITH GETTING THIS ($1700) ISSUE RESOLVED AS I CANNOT AFFORD TO. THEY DECLINED MY OFFER.
