I have a 2020 Lincoln Corsair with an active recall on the infotainment system. My screen freezes constantly, and I’m unable to complete system updates at all—it just spins or crashes & my rearview camera glitches out. This is a huge safety issue!!! This makes the vehicle difficult and unsafe to use, especially since it affects visibility and system controls. I understand a fix isn’t available yet, but my system is essentially unusable. Since the system won’t update, I can’t even apply the future recall fix when it becomes available. This seems like a hardware failure related to the recall issue.
On the transmission the endcap was missing a bolt that caused the transmission to leak that caused the transmission to fail. The second incident this that Lincoln corsair had a electrical blackout in the middle of driving on the highway. There were no warning signs, and both occasions was a dangerous due to the transmission had a little fire.

While driving, received AWD, Traction Control, Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Alert/Malfunction lights on instrument panel and notification that none of them were working. Happened consistently after starting vehicle while driving a few minutes. Had vehicle taken in to dealership to discover a new AWD module was needed and not covered by warranty. After further research, determined that there was a recall for the same part on the same model of our vehicle one year later but did not include our year model.

I [XXX] and I am the owner of a 2020 Lincoln Corsair (VIN: [XXX] ). The vehicle is under a recall for the backup camera and wiring harness that affects the visibility of the rear-view image. When I contacted my local Lincoln dealership, they informed me that the recall parts are unavailable and that the earliest possible repair appointment is not until March 2026. I purchased the vehicle in October 2025 and am currently financing it for approximately $35,000. I am very concerned about continuing to drive a vehicle with a known safety-related issue for more than a year while waiting for parts that should already be available to consumers. This delay creates both safety and financial hardship for owners, and there does not appear to be an alternative remedy or temporary solution being offered by Lincoln. My camara is already glitching and experiencing some malfunction. So I am requesting that NHTSA review this recall and take steps to ensure that the manufacturer provides an appropriate and timely resolution or interim remedy for affected vehicles. Thank you for your attention to this matter. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The overhead lights randomly turn on, which is incredibly distracting, especially when driving at night. Additionally, the moonroof has just stopped working. Although this is more of an inconvenience, I am concerned that both of these combined represent an electrical issue with the overhead console module, which can result in many more hazards if left without repair. There are no dash lights signaling issues. I have reported the problem to the dealer where I purchased the car a couple of months ago (Tim Short Ford of Lafollette); my local dealership (Rusty Wallace Ford Lincoln of Morristown), which also reported that there were two other vehicles currently in the service department for the same issue; and to the Lincoln Concierge. I found many reports online of similar issues with this vehicle and with the confirmed two other vehicles with the same issue at my local dealership, this appears to be a widespread problem. However, after speaking with the Concierge, it is apparent that the company is not acknowledging the issue as no accommodation was offered despite the known similar failures in the same model line.

On December 23rd ,2024 I brought my 2020 Lincoln Corsair to Keller ford dealer ship in Hanford CA. The issue was the engine overheated without any warning lights. I requested they diagnose the problem and provide me with the diagnosis and cost. They informed me that there was coolant intrusion on cylinder number 1 and spark plug was seized they told me I would need a new valve head and the cost would be $3950.86. I Have now learned that there has been a chromic problem with the 2.0 engine. I'm enclosing a problem list detailing the significant issues that have affected the corsair engine. These problems are systemic to the corsair engine as documented by the complaints of the corsair users. I have notified Lincoln of the problem and was never informed that this was a known problem to Lincoln. When we purchase the corsair I expected Lincoln to stand by its product. I was under the belief that Lincoln was a forth right and honest automobile company. I'm now out of pocket this amount of money. I expect Lincoln to act in good faith and remedy this situation. Please contact me at my email [XXX] or [XXX] On may 26 2025 I had travel approximately 200 miles since the repairs from Keller Ford I travel to Los Angeles CA. Before I arrived at my destination the exact same problem reoccured. With out any warning light my car overheated and white smoke came out of the tail pipe. The net day I went to South Bay Ford. They inspected my vehicle and told me the EGR cooler has develop a coolant leak. They took pictures with showed that the repair at Keller Ford fail to properly diagnose the problem. Again this appear to be a chronic problem to the corsair as other users had made written complaints to NHTSA. This repair cost $961.44. As the results the total cost of the damage to my vehicle is in excess of $4912.30. I once again demand that one could stand by it product and set this matter straight. Please know we attempted to have our 2020 Lincoln Corsair inspected at an authorized Texas inspection Station and the Computer System would not allow an interface so we could not get the vehicle inspected . We then had to go to a Lincoln Dealer and they also had trouble with the computer system and were finally able to inspect the vehicle somehow, but not sure how they were able to finally inspect the vehicle. When we took our vehicle in to the Lincoln Dealer in September 2023 for the Temporary Fix for the Recall Notice 23S23 Blue or Black Image on the SYNC screen, again, the Dealer was not able to accomplish this because of the vehicle Computer System not being able to interface. We do believe we have a Computer System or Computer Software issue with our Lincoln Corsair.

360 camera recall issue still persists incredibly frequently. Pretty much every drive. Backup camera when it does work, is severely lagging and delaying which could result in a collision if using. Front camera was replaced which was providing a grey image, now it is displaying the blue image. LINCOLN states remedy is still not available.

We were traveling east on I-80 just before exit 151. When the panoramic sunroof exploded in the corsair. The sound was as loud as a gun shot going off by your head, I was lucky that the sound did not cause me to veer into another lane and cause a multi vehicle accident. My ears rang for 4 hours after the incident. The glass shattered from front to rear of sun roof in small pieces. My wife and I were lucky that we had the sun shade closed or we would have suffered injuries from the glass that shattered inward into the sun shade. In my 42 years of having a CDL and 20 years of being a vice president of safety and risk for a large trucking company. This was one of the most frightening incidents that I have been involved in.

While driving with cruise control set, an pre-collision assist not available warning showed on the dashboard. Cruise control automatically switched off and the immediately slowed even when pressing the gas pedal. The vehicle began to jerk as if the brakes were automatically activated. When able to safely pull over and stop the vehicle, it would not go into park nor would it turn off. The vehicle would only turn off and start when the emergency parking brake had been applied. After inspection at a certified dealership and maintenance shop, the vehicle was diagnosed with major transmission malfunction. The transmission fluid had been completely burned out and metal shavings were present. I asked how could this happen, especially when the necessary maintenance service checks and procedures were in order. The technician said he didn't know. I checked the manufacturer's recall listing and there is a recall on the transmission but that particular recall did not affect my particular VIN. Now the manufacturer refuses to discuss this issue with me, stating that due to proprietary reasons they could not offer me any further assistance or information. Total repair cost = $10,675.67 $4000.00 has been offered as part of the Ford goodwill program. Unfortunately all warranties have expired due to mileage, except the powertrain, which I was told did not include the transmission. 2020 Lincoln Corsair 139, 117 miles This is a first time event for my vehicle. My vehicle stalled in the middle of traffic on the highway. No injuries involved.

I was involved in a front-end collision a ~7 ton commercial vehicle, their fault due to distracted driving while using a cell phone, in which the forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and air bags failed. My Corsair had to be towed since it did not run after the accident, the drivers door could not open, so had to crawl out the passenger side. The Corsair was taken to an autobody shop that day and within a week their preliminary visual estimate without tearing down was over half the value of the vehicle and has since been declared a total loss. I sustained injuries in the accident that will be treated for some time and can only speculate that had systems worked, there could have been a chance for less severe injuries or potentially avoided the collision altogether. The autobody shop and insurance has all commented they were surprised none of the safety features worked, but no root cause has been documented as to why. At the time of the accident, all recalls were considered up-to-date and the vehicle has been very well maintained to by a Ford dealer and to the specifications of the owners manual. There were no warning lamps.

Electrical system totally shuts down and car is dead. This happened 4 times. The battery is not dead but the electrical system shuts it down. You have to jump or separate battery to re activate system.Last incident not even emergency key worked to open the car.Danger is if someone is in the car and you cannot get them out.The car was so dead I had to call road service. They towed to dealer.Last time we took to the dealer they said no problem with the car. This time we had to tow and the Lincoln assist driver could not opeit.Definite safety issue if child or animal got locked in by accident someone outside cannot get in even with key ,for the key does not work.Nothing will open this car.A huge danger.
The rear video camera when I attempted to back up failed and no rear video image just a blue screen. This happened today (06/22/2022).
