ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:DC/DC CONVERTER
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2021-2022 RAV4 Prime and 2022 Lexus NX450h+ plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) vehicles. The electric current rectifying module contained within the DC-DC converter may have been damaged during production, which can result in an electrical short-circuit.
Remedy: Owners are advised not to charge their vehicles when the ambient air temperature is below or expected to drop below 41 degrees Fahrenheit (5 degrees Celsius). Dealers will replace the DC-DC converter, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 29, 2023. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. SERVICE BRAKES Jun 8, 2022
The contact owns a 2022 Lexus NX450H+. The contact stated while in reverse and exiting her driveway at approximately 3 MPH, the vehicle came to an abrupt stop. The contact stated that the brake warning light was illuminated in red. Additionally, she had not depressed the brake pedal. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer who diagnosed and determined that the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that the sudden braking failure recurred several times. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000.

Steering is off-center to the left and the car still drifts to the left on even roads after 3 attempts to fix the problem. When the Break Hold feature is on, the vehicle locks the breaks while it is in motion about 25-35 mph. Also, the VSC off light comes and goes on its own along with the traction control off warning message.
