FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE
CERTAIN REPLACEMENT FUEL FILTERS, FRAM BRAND NAME P/N G3727, WITH DATE CODES X52911 THROUGH X60801 SEQUENTIALLY OR X600141 AND A MEXICO COUNTRY OR ORIGIN MARKING ON THE FUEL FILTER HOUSING MANUFACTURED FROM OCTOBER 18, 2005, THROUGH MARCH 21, 2006, SOLD FOR USE ON THE VEHICLES LISTED ABOVE AND ON CERTAIN SCHOOL BUSES. (TO SEE THE SCHOOL BUS ENGINE SIZES, CLICK ON "DOCUMENT SEARCH" AND THEN "BUS APPLICATIONS"). THE CONNECTOR ON THE FUEL FILTER WAS NOT MANUFACTURED TO HONEYWELL'S SPECIFICATION. AS A RESULT, THE O-RING MAY NOT SEAT CORRECTLY ON THE FUEL LINE.
Remedy: HONEYWELL WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND REPLACE THE FUEL FILTERS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 18, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FRAM CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 1-800-890-2075 (OPTION 1).

THERE IS A COMMON THROTTLE BODY FAILURE IN 2002 JAGUARS. WHEN THIS FAILURE OCCURS, THE CAR GOES INTO "FAIL SAFE" MODE AND REDUCES SPEED TO 30 MPH, CREATING A HAZARD ON HIGHWAYS WITH LIMITED ACCESS. INVESTIGATION HAS REVEALED THAT THIS IS A COMMON FAILURE OF AN NON-WEAR COMPONENT, AND REPRESENTS A FACTORY DEFECT AND A SAFETY ISSUE. *TR

2002 JAGUAR XKR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND GAS FUMES COULD BE SMELLED.*MR THE VEHICLE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND EXPLAINED THAT IT WAS NOTHING SERIOUS AND LIKELY DUE TO SOMETHING IN THE EMISSION SYSTEM. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN IN FOR IT'S 20000 MILE CHECKUP THE PROBLEM WOULD BE RECTIFIED. THE DRIVER HAD COMPLAINED TO HER HUSBAND ABOUT THE SMELL OF FUMES WHICH MADE HER COUGH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THE SERVICE ADVISOR EXPLAINED THAT A FACTORY MODIFICATION HAD BEEN FITTED TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM. AFTER THE MODIFICATION THE FUMES COULD STILL BE SMELLED. THESE FUMES CAUSED THE DRIVER TO FEEL ILL WHILE DRIVING. THE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO EXPLAINED THAT THE ORIGINAL MODIFICATION HAD BEEN SUPERSEDED AND THAT THE FACTORY ISSUED FURTHER MODIFICATION, WHICH HAD BEEN FITTED. THE FUMES WERE STILL SMELLED AFTER THE SECOND MODIFICATION. THE DRIVER HAS SINCE SUFFERED FROM BREATHING PROBLEMS, A DRY COUGH, PAIN IN THE LUNGS AND WAS GENERALLY LETHARGIC AND FATIGUED. HER DOCTOR DIAGNOSED HER WITH HAVING CONCOMITANT INTERSTITIAL LUNG DISEASE CAUSED BY INHALING FUMES. *NM

PROBLEMS WITH WIND NOISE ON DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW. *MR THE FRONT DOOR WAS HARD TO OPEN, THE J GATE CLICKED ALL THE TIME WHEN BRAKING, AIR LEAKED IN THE DRIVER'S FRONT WINDOW ALONG WITH NOISE, THERE WAS A HUM NOISE WHEN GOING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, AND THE CENTER CONSOLE LIGHT FLASHED. *SC *JB

CONVERTIBLE TOP WAS MOVING VERY SLOWLY WHILE OPENING. NEXT ONE OF THE HYDRALIC LINES FROM CONVERTIBLE TOP BROKE OFF AND SPRAYED FLUID ALL OVER PASSENGERS. CONSUMER FEELS THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
