In the event of a crash necessitating air bag deployment, an incorrect classification may result in the passenger frontal air bag deploying even if there is a child in the front passenger seat, increasing their risk of injury.
Remedy
Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the seat belt assembly and repair the seatbelt tension sensor harness as necessary, free of charge. The recall began June 3, 2019. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H208.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2014 JAGUAR F-TYPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE UNDERNEATH THE HOOD. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS NOTIFIED AND WAS ABLE TO EXTI

THE CONTACT STATED THAT AN INVESTIGATION WAS OPENED HOWEVER, THE RESULT WAS INCONCLUSIVE. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED OR NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. SO THE CAR JUST SITS IN MY GARAGE WHILE I KEEP MAKING LOAN PAYMENTS, IT'S UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND DEALER WON'T DO ANYTHING. LAST YEAR ALSO HAD PROBL
