Transmission faiure at 112,000 miles

Car had 69,300 miles (5 3/4 years old) at time of service on 4/18/2023. The check engine light came on the day before. Dealer performed diagnostic- stated it was the Crank Case Ventilation that needed to be replaced. I was charged $2107.00 $1710.00 for labor, $397.00 for parts. I have owned 2 othe... r mercedes well into the 100,000 mile ranges- no problems similar to this. It seems to just be a C300 issue- my car is a C350e. It has been serviced at the dealer every year and is garaged and well taken care of. I read online that c300 have this issue- and would like to report mine as well.Read more

While driving my 2018 Kia Sorento on Interstate 95 at approximately 65 mph, the vehicle suddenly started to knock. The noise got louder and before I could safely pull onto the shoulder, the engine totally failed without any warning lights whatsoever. Large amount of blue smoke came from the exhaust ... and I lost all power to the vehicle. Engine parts and motor oil were scattered all over the highway from the violent nature of the failure. This also caused vehicles behind me to swerve and brake in order to avoid hitting the metal engine debris. My right rear tire ran over such metal and it immediately went flat. I was able to coast the vehicle onto an exit ramp where I raised the hood to check for fire. The engine continued to leak oil while parked on the off ramp shoulder. I called my insurance company to let them know what had happened and a tow truck responded approximately 1 hour later and the vehicle was placed in an auto storage lot.Read more

The gear position sensor will go from 6th gear to neutral causing you to either drop out of cruise control (if engaged) or a momentary loss of power, if the cruise is not engaged. This can create a dangerous condition due to a sudden decrease in speed, if anybody is behind you. This is a motorcycle... so there is nothing between you and any other vehicle. This was already supposed to have been fixed based on a recall I believe initiated here. That was for people accidentally starting their motorcycles in gear. As alleged on the internet, all Indian did was switch resistance values so now the issue I am reporting here is occurring. People are living (I hope!) with this condition as they were either told by Indian they are out of warranty or they are out of warranty and don't think anything can be done. Since there is no word of Indian supplying a new, improved gear position sensor to those afflicted, I can only assume that Indian is still producing thousands of new bikes that will have this problem. Looking at the additional details below. This occurs every time I ride my bike. The speed it occurs at 50+ mph as that is when you would be in 6th gear. This started occurring at about 11k miles.
