ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:CRITICAL FASTENERS
Defect Description
International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2026-2027 IC Bus EVSB school buses. The mounting bracket bolts may have been improperly tightened, allowing the drive motor to detach.
Consequence
A detach drive motor can become a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy
Dealers will tighten or replace the drive mounting bolts as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 22, 2026. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING:SWITCHES/KNOBS/BUTTONS
Defect Description
International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2022-2027 IC Bus EVSB school buses. The high voltage disconnect switch may fail to shut off power to the battery.
Consequence
Switch failure may lead to unintentionally working on an energized high voltage battery, increasing the risk of injury or death by electrical shock.
Remedy
Dealers will repair the high voltage disconnect connector bypass circuit, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 4, 2026.
