On [XXX], my 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid displayed a red dashboard alert instructing me to “stop vehicle and check brake system.” The vehicle experienced brake system warnings and a loss of power steering, requiring me to pull over. I immediately contacted Hyundai through the Bluelink system, and the Bluelink operator confirmed that multiple fault codes were visible in Hyundai’s system. I scheduled a Hyundai service appointment at the next available date. On [XXX], before the scheduled service appointment could occur, the vehicle experienced a sudden and total electrical failure while traveling at highway speed (approximately 65 mph). The vehicle lost propulsion and displayed brake system warnings. After reaching the shoulder, the vehicle also lost hazard lights while disabled in heavy rain. The vehicle was towed via Hyundai Bluelink to a Hyundai dealership and removed from service. The occupants at the time of the incident included my wife and my minor child. The loss of propulsion, braking warnings, power steering, and hazard lights created a serious risk of a rear-end collision and injury. Due to repeated and escalating safety-related failures involving electrical, braking, and steering systems, I no longer consider the vehicle safe to operate. The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid. The contact stated that while attempting to make a left turn in a line of other vehicles, the brakes locked up and the vehicle came to an immediate stop. The contact stated that vehicle drove normally after the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 4,500.
Intermittent flickering of the infotainment + backup camera screen. The screen displays glitching bands of static, loses touchscreen functionality, and reboots on its own. The flashing light presents a significant safety hazard when driving at night. Dealer has tried replacing the head unit and adjusting the coaxial cable with no success.
Vehicle propulsion system failed, as a result vehicle rolled down an inclined driveway in to the street and was stuck in the middle on the street in traffic. Vehicle had started normally, was able to shift into Drive, no obvious warning lights or error messages displayed. Vehicle would shift into Drive/Park/Reverse as required but would not move. Upon shutdown an restart two warning lights were display but Vehicle would still not move. Vehicle only had 168 miles on the odometer. Vehicle is a Hybrid, engine was running and Battery charged. Apparently the problem was a failed "Over the Air Software Update", this was corrected by Dealer (see attached file). Safety issue is that the Vehicle, 1 Failed to display any error regarding a Failed Update, 2 Failed to immobilize the Vehicle allowing to move in an unsafe state, 3 Failed to notify Owner that Updates had been done, 4 Proceeded with an over thew air Update that could potentially place the Vehicle in an unsafe state.

Car stopped abruptly in backed-up traffic on I-84 when there was no danger of hitting the vehicle ahead. It created a danger of being struck by the vehicle behind.
The Driver Attention Warning alarms every few minutes in highway driving. The loud ringing bell and the dashboard display are very distracting and a hazard in their own right.
The forward collision system suddenly slammed the brakes hard to a full stop. This has happened multiple times in situations where there was no real danger(still safe distance with the car in front). I was fully in control, and there were no obstacles or sudden movements from other vehicles. Both times there was a car right behind me, and I was just lucky they didn’t hit me because they swerved into the shoulder. After the first 2 times, I mentioned it to the dealership and asked if there was any way to turn down the sensitivity so it didn't cause an accident and he said it's either all or nothing (which also isn't safe in case of real emergency). He recommended I file a complaint. I should also mention that I owned the 2022 Hyundai Tucson prior to this car for 4 years and never once had this occur. I did have it activate the front collision warning, but it never came to a full stop and allowed the driver to make the correct decision for the situation.
Cannot use any driver assistance features while wearing sunglasses (even the lightest lens). I have macular degenation and this affects my future vision. I either can't wear sunglasses (which my eye doctor says are a MUST) or cannot use cruise control or driver assistance features with them. This was not disclosed prior to car purchase and Hyundai claims it is to guard against drivers falling asleep. Unlikely in daylight and if cruise control and distance WAS being used and someone fell asleep it would slow the car down rather than crashing into something full speed. This flaw DOES affect my safety and that have eye issues. Everyone should wear sunglasses during the day to protect their eyes. Please have Hyundai rectify this!

My new Hyundai Tucson has less than 5K miles on it and while driving on a fairly empty road the panoramic sunroof exploded for no reason (as we know nothing hit it). Fortunately the screen was closed at the time, but had it been open then glass shards could have entered the car. I often have my grandchildren in car seats with the screen open and this could have caused serious eye damage to them. Hyundai and other manufacturers know this is a common problem but refuse to do anything about it. The local dealer will not cover the repair even though the car is under warranty. When the roof explodes it sounds like a gunshot and we swerved, but fortunately no cars were near us at the time. I can see where this can easily cause accidents.
While driving, the digital cluster (unit that displays speed, fuel etc) goes blank many times and this is a major safety issues as critical info is unavailable and also very distracting while driving as the unit flickers and reboots during driving. Here are a few videos of the issue: [XXX] I took the car to dealership where they replaced the cluster module but i still am facing the issues even after repairs. The Forward Attention Monitor (or Driver Attention Monitor/Warning...or something similarly named) that monitors the driver's eyes to insure he/she is looking forward at all times) is overly sensitive and shuts off the adaptive cruise control and lane keeping systems. While it does this, there is a beeping, and a text display on the dash that requires reading, it is probably a sentence long, further distracting the driver from looking at the road....This potentially would cause a following vehicle, or a vehicle in an adjacent lane to make a defensive maneuver, or to have to brake abruptly, as one example...basically NOT SAFE) Adjusting the steering column to a safe driving position for me (the eye sensor is located on top of the steering column) also caused this system to turn off the cruise control and lane keeping systems constantly, causing me to have to raise it to an uncomfortable driving position. Also, related to this, the HVAC controls have very dim indicator lights to let the the driver know the fan speed or status of the A/C, making it very hard for the driver to see it and make quick changes before the STUPID eye sensor (Forward Attention Monitor or Driver Attention Monitor) cuts off the other safety features. I wear NON polarized sunglasses to be able drive safely in the very bright Arizona sun, and to see the HUD which is impossible to read if wearing polarized sunglasses. I have worn sunglasses while driving for over 50 years. This 2025 Hyundai Tucson Limited Hybrid is the first car that has this very overly sensitive driver attention warning system and IF it is not adjusted quickly will cause me to sell this otherwise excellent vehicle at a great financial loss. My hope is that it can be adjusted with a software update or physical parts update, before this causes an very unfortunate vehicle accident. It makes driving this vehicle extremely unsafe. I have asked the dealer more than once about this and they say there is no current fix. thank yo

My 2025 Tucson hybrid violently stopped in mid traffic while leaving the intersection once the signal turned green to proceed. I accelerated getting to speed limit then it abruptly stopped, violently throwing contents from back seat to the forward cabin. Both, myself the driver and my passenger were jolted violently. The school bus behind me had to stop quickly as we were just getting up to speed from a stop light. The vehicle is brand new, 2024 miles on it. Tucson Nline Hybrid with all the safety features turned on. I called the dealer and service rep which both instructed to turn off the FCS Forward Collision System setting. I did but this shouldn't be happening and will cause bodily harm/damage, and possible death is a specific situation. This abrupt stop was jarring to both people in the car.

I purchased a brand new vehicle with only 12 miles on it. Less than 72 hours later I had to have it towed. I turned the vehicle on and tried to put it in drive and 2 error messages came up. One was the check hyrid system and the other was a check engine. The diagostic tool on the car says it is related to transmission. The dealership doesnt have time to look into it yet and the Manager from the dealership I bought it from offered no solutions since I travelled home to another state.

My vehicle was purchased new and has less than 5100 miles on it. The screen and heads-up display randomly begin to glitch and then simply go dark. I can't see my speed, fuel or charge levels or any important data while driving. This has happened multiple times already. My vehicle is a 2025 model. Interestingly, Hyundai had the same type issue on 2024 models and issued a TSB to resolve this issue, but have not issued any repair for the 2025 models. This is a major safety issue.

The electronic dashboard and heads up display go blank for as little as a few seconds to over 30 seconds. This happens over and over again. Sometimes in doesn't happen at all but more often than not it does. I have no data when this does this, no idea what speed I'm going at, no data about the blind spot safety controls. Nothing. If it unsafe to drive without knowing what speed you are going and other information. The dealer said they could not reproduce the condition even though there is a Hyundia Technical Service Bulletin out for the same problem on a similar Hyundai and many, similar reports on the Hyundai forum. The dealer said they could do nothing even though I had to drive off in an unsafe vehicle.

To be honest, this could have been happening for months and I just didn’t pick up on it. I typically look out the front window and use my heads-up display. I’m very rarely looking at the gauges while I’m driving down the street so this just happens to be when I began to notice it. 9-4-25 near 4 PM Left side screen where gauges are located blackout -it didn’t last long, but it did frighten me and then it did it again and the second time it did like a restart because it came up with the ready to drive message 9-6-25 10:40AM left side of screen black out 9–16–25 7:13 AM. Left side screen where gauges are located blackout a second time at 7:12 PM 9-18/25 4:45 PM left side of screen black out 9-20 -15 10:45 AM left side screen where gauges are located blacked out 11:24 AM all gauges lit up on dashboard I don’t even know all these signs. These are the ones I recognize battery, brake, auto hold, ready, number of caution signs, airbag sign, AFS, ABS EPB (image uploaded showing the car in drive) I turned off the vehicle. The lights remained on restarting the car made no difference. The next day car started normal no access dash lights Took the car to the dealership on Sept. 23, when I made the appointment, they acted like they had never heard of this happening ...however when they called to discuss my car they said they have had several come in with the same issue. They stated they needed to replace a wiring harness, but it is on indefinite backorder according to the service person. I think his name was [XXX] . They were unable to tell me when they will be able to address this concern. I am concerned this sounds very similar to the Toyota's that are being recalled and if both companies need the same part how safe are these cars from Hyundai to drive. The foward attention warning feature needs to be updated to allow owners to shut off the system. When traveling at highway speeds, the speed control shuts off without warning! This has become a possibilty of causing a rear end collision! Please enact a solution to this problem.. Please refer to the Hyundai website for MANY more complaints concerning the foward attention warning features.. Thank you
The rear hatch was open as I had loaded packages in it. My husband & I were both at the rear of the car. I was on the passenger side but told my husband I was going to drive home and began crossing over to the driver side. He pushed the button to close the hatch. It came down and hit me in the head. It lacerated my head and really hurt. I had to get 5 staples to close the wound. This is a very concerning safety hazard. As an adult it was painful and required medical attention. I believe it should have detected my presence and stopped. I am concerned what would have happened if this was a child. I believe they would have been seriously injured or killed. I have 3 grandchildren so it is very concerning.

Intermittent failure of HUD and instrument cluster. HUD disappears from view and instrument cluster goes dark. Unable to read speedometer and information. All warning lights are lit. Cluster has a message no signal. Dealer has on order a replacement wire harness. Problem started after 1 month and 1000 miles. Replacement part on back order will take several weeks. Loaner car has been provided. No injuries or property damage.
I have had two incidents with this vehicle (that I have owned for less than 90 days) that have raised safety concerns. Both involved the loss of all information on the "instrument panel" AKA dashboard. In the first (August 18, 2025), all of the warning lights came on, then the screen went dark - there was no information on the two screens and no head's up display. This happened while I was on the highway doing about 65 mph. After I was able to pull over safely, it took several attempts to get the vehicle started again and in gear. I took it to the dealer the next day and they were unable to replicate the issue and saw no codes. The second episode occurred yesterday (9/6/25). This time the screen went dark except for a large red warning "NO SIGNAL". The screen came back after a few moments; I am taking it to the dealer tomorrow. Both of these involved losing all information as to the speed of the vehicle - which I believe is a safety issue. Both of these issues have also been reported by others on Facebook ("Hyundai Owners") since late last year and it appears to be some sort of electrical issue but there has been no TSB or recall by Hyundai yet.

While driving my 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid, the vehicle suddenly lost power without warning. On August 29, 2025 , while traveling at approximately 65 mph on a highway, the vehicle disengaged from cruise control and the accelerator became unresponsive. Later thatt day, it happened again, but this time it was on a surface street because I feared an accident on the highway. The engine went into idle, and I was unable to accelerate. I was forced to coast to a stop in a potentially unsafe situation. This also happened on August 23, 2025 in a parking lot. The issue occurs randomly and without any prior warnings or error codes. I am concerned about the safety risk of losing propulsion at highway speeds. The dealership has been unable to reproduce the issue.
Heads up display and gauge cluster will intermittently flicker and/or reboot. When gauge cluster comes back on it will sometimes have all warning lights stay on. Have had it happen once where gauge cluster rebooted and then flashed "No Signal" while repeatedly rebooting. Both HUD and Gauge cluster do shut off together sometimes so I am no longer able to see my speed when that does happen
The instrument panel side of the infotainment screen has gone completely black on multiple times . The heads up display flickers and goes out, therefore, no way to see what speed I’m going.. extremely dangerous.. also all warning “dash” lights come on. I have A video of the dash lights on and the screen going black and coming back on.. I dont Make it a habit of driving with phone in hand. Your system will not let me upload my videos!
The computerized "Safety" features on this car can not be turned off. They pose a hazard in a number of ways from when the car is stopped to driving on multi-lane highways. For instance, the adaptive cruise control is linked to an over the air network. If that link is "cut" by going through the mountains, cruise control suddenly quits; this has happened while passing a vehicle over a mountain pass. When attempting to pull out from a parking spot, another driver stopped to wait for me because they wanted my parking spot. My car stopped by itself, sounded a loud noise, steering wheel shook, my wife screamed at the noise, and I had to shift out of reverse and shift back into it and attempt to leave the parking spot. When driving in the mountains on curvy mountain roads, my eyes shift around a great deal to keep on top of the road and traffic conditions. This sets off the "its time to take a coffee break" announcement with accompanying dinging. This continues every few minutes until I am out of the mountains - it is distracting at the least. If the adaptive cruise has slowed the car down because of slower traffic ahead, and after a car passes in the outer lane, you pull into that lane to pass the slower car; but when you do, my car accelerates quickly to bring the speed up to the speed set on the cruise control. If the car that just passed is too close, this acceleration sends us hurling toward the other car. I would like the ability to turn these "safety" features OFF. But that is NOT POSSIBLE with the 2025 model - while it was in earlier models. Though I recently purchased this car, I am investigating other cars to replace it almost immediately because I want to be able to drive without these "safety" features making poor decisions and putting my life in danger.

I purchased a brand-new Hyundai vehicle on [XXX] from Dublin Hyundai. Since purchase, the vehicle has exhibited repeated, serious defects that compromised the safety of my [XXX] baby and family. Timeline of Events: [XXX] – Vehicle purchased new. Safety concerns arose within weeks of ownership. July 16, 2025 – Vehicle dropped off for major issues: camera display failures, heads-up display malfunctions, and random security errors. Vehicle remained in service for over two weeks. August 2, 2025 – Returned with the check engine light on and a scratch on the deck. August 3–4, 2025 – Dropped off again; dealership instructed that the fuel level must remain between 50–70%. August 11, 2025 – Dropped off again; a loaner vehicle provided was unsafe — gear shift failure, body control system errors, infotainment failure, and inability to lock the vehicle. This put my baby’s safety at direct risk as the loaner could not be secured or reliably driven. August 19, 2025 – Vehicle returned with new scratches and multiple issues still unresolved. Late August 2025–Present – Vehicle was relocated to San Jose without my consent. I only know its location from the Hyundai app, which frequently alerts: “Battery level is below normal. Please check that vehicle lights and accessories are switched off to avoid battery drain.” I have not been provided proper updates from Hyundai or the dealership. Safety Risk: Repeated mechanical and electronic failures in both the new vehicle and the loaner. Vehicle is unreliable, unpredictable, and unsafe for transporting a young child. Manufacturer and dealer have failed to provide a safe, operable vehicle despite multiple repair attempts. I am filing this complaint because these issues pose a serious safety risk to me, my infant child, and other drivers on the road. My dashboard will black out, my HUD display will flicker or just go out. All of my indicator lights for vehicle issues all light up and stay lit up.
The Hyundai Tucson's "Consider taking a break" advisory is triggered by the Driver Attention Warning (DAW) system. This warning happens so frequently that it is more than an annoyance, but a safety issue, because the driver must continually take their eyes off the road to examine what the vehicle is complaining about, and therefore could conceivably be the cause of a crash. Dealer is aware of issue. See attached technical service bulletin. The problem is easily reproducible.
