GM IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2006 THROUGH 2010 HUMMER H3 VEHICLES. SOME OF THESE VEHICLES HAVE A CONDITION IN WHICH THE INTEGRAL CLIP-TABS ON THE LOUVER ON THE HOOD MAY FRACTURE, CAUSING THE HOOD LOUVER RATTLE AGAINST THE HOOD AND BECOME LOOSE. IF THIS INDICATOR IS UNNOTICED, ADDITIONAL CLIPS COULD FRACTURE AND THE HOOD LOUVER COULD DETACH FROM THE VEHICLE.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL APPLY AN ADHESIVE TO THE HOOD LOUVER TO SECURE IT TO THE HOOD. THIS SERVICE WILL BE PERFORMED FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON APRIL 12, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT HUMMER AT 800-732-5493 OR AT THE OWNER CENTER AT WWW.GMOWNERCENTER.COM.

On the electrical, I refer to my air conditioning and heater. When I have my air selection to coldest and I drop 1 click for it to be less cool, my heater turns on and at times it smells like something burning. I have to turn it off . On the engine, after I hit 90,000 miles, I have to fill up my engine oil every 2-3 weeks because my vehicle is burning it quick or something. It doesn't leak oil at all. The oil just seems like it's burning somewhere and I ha e to be waisting money to buy oil $30 to $60 a month. Please help. Thank you!

Was driving this vehicle about 45 mph and began to shake violently. Was able to get it slowed down and back under control. Happened two more times on my drive home and took it to an auto repair shop today and found the frame is broken on both sides in front of rear leaf springs.
Was heading home from work and the 2006 Hummer H3 shut off while traveling in the middle of traffic was able to cruise in Nuetral until I could stop to start car again started car and yet again I receive a cylinder misfire code which has been repaired on multiple attempts still no success. I am going to end up either crashing or an emergency vehichle will be trying to get by and I can't move because the motor shut down.
Sunroof leaking creating water to leak into the driver seat, passenger seat, speakers on the door. Water trickling down from the Onstar system while parked and in motion this is a safety hazard. The only resolution that is given from GM is to blow out the hose to the sunroof, that’s not helping this issue is creating mole into the vehicle and once again it’s hazardous when driving As the water raining inside as well as outside of the vehicle. please help not seeing any recalls for this Manufacturing defect.
Engine has very bad rough idle after multiple attempts to repair will get a misfire code often that goes on and comes off engine has rough idle to the point where truck shuts off completely while waiting at traffic light. My safety is at risk as this could happen during driving causing a wreck or during a light change when the emergency vehicles need me to move over and my truck don't run. Vehicle was inspected by multiple mechanic and still has issues. Check engine light comes on at time of motor failure or when rough idle.

Complete rust through of frame of my 2006 HUMMER H3.
I was driving the vehicle at a normal rate of speed and stopped at a traffic light getting ready to change. I applied the brakes and when doing so, I heard some horrible noises and felt certain that parts had fallen out of the car. I knew something was immediately seriously wrong. I put the car in park (but it was effort and a grinding noise to put it in park) and stepped out to look under the car. No parts were on the ground, but something was leaking out of the bottom of the car. I got back in and put the car in drive to move it from the roadway knowing I was going to need assistance to tow it somewhere. It grinded trying to put it in any gear and only "revved" the engine when I tried to apply gas to drive it. There was absolutely no warning. The tow driver immediately noticed the drive shaft was disconnected and that was the leaking and thus going nowhere. My mechanic said that both leaf springs snapped off and that caused the drive shaft to sever, hitting the gas tank (or strap) and some other things. My concern is that there is a recall on leaf springs for every year Hummer H3 except mine as well as 1995-2015 Chevrolet, GMC, and Hummer leaf springs. I'm having a very difficult time with how both of mine snapped with no warning tearing all of these components out and it is not involved in the recall. It is the same parts on all of these. Also, my vehicle has spent the majority of its life garaged, never driven in the snow or rain, as I have babied this car. I have a car wash membership too and constantly keep this car meticulous. Hummer said that enough people need to complain, but I would not even have thought to complain had BOTH not snapped off simultaneously finding the recall for all other years while researching the cost. Had only 1 broke, I wouldn't have given it any thought. And Hummer said that they wouldn't even talk to me unless my car was at a GM dealership. This should be included in the recall. This is not pure coincidence. They need to fix it.

Frame rot all the way thru from front to back. I am able to poke holes in spots all around it.
The contact's husband owns a 2006 Hummer H3. The contact stated that while she was attempting to park the vehicle, the gear shifter seized in the neutral (N) position as she attempted to place the gear shifter into drive (D). There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was able to park the vehicle however, the gear shifter remained in the neutral (N) position. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be serviced or diagnosed for the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 180,000.
Plastic shift fork in transfer case broke. Truck locked up turning onto main road from side street was almost hit.
The contact owns a 2006 Hummer H3. The contact stated while making a turn, he heard a loud abnormal popping sound coming from the rear of the vehicle. The contact stated that while inspecting the vehicle, he noticed that the rear leaf spring had detached from the subframe of the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by the dealer or independent mechanic. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and informed the contact that the VIN was not under recall. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HUMMER H3. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNDISCLOSED SPEED, THE HOOD INADVERTENTLY OPENED AND SHATTERED THE FRONT WINDSHIELD. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS RELATING THE FAILURE TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V179000 (STRUCTURE). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE.
I PUT IN 4HIGH LOCK FOR SNOW. I LATER PUT TRUCK IN 4 HIGH. IT FEELS AS IF IT'S STUCK IN 4HIGH LICK. I TOOK IT TO REPAIR SHOPS AND WAS TOLD IT'S THE 'PLASTIC FORK' ON THE TRANSFER CASE AND THIS IS A FAULTY PROBLEM. THE FOR WAS LATER CHANGED TO A METAL KNE BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN METAL IN THE FIRST PLACE. THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE COST AND I AM IN GREAT HOPES THAT THE MANUFACTURERS WILL HONOR THIS.
WE RECENTLY HAD TRANSMISSION COOLANT LINE REPLACED BY THE DEALER ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO. LAST NIGHT, WHILE MY 17 YEAR OLD SON WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT ON A PAVED ROAD AT APPROXIMATELY 25MPH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED FOR NO REASON. HE SUSTAINED A BURN ON HIS HAND FROM THE AIR BAG AS WELL AS NECK PAIN. AT THIS POINT HE HAS NOT NEEDED MEDICAL ATTENTION.

P0305 CEL CODE CAME ON AND TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC. THEY DIAGNOSED THE ISSUE AND DID A COMPRESSION TEST WHICH PRODUCED RESULTS OF CYLINDER 5 HAVING 70 PSI AND THE OTHER CYLINDERS WERE NORMAL. DETERMINE THAT THE VALVES SEATS ARE BAD AND IT IS A COMMON ISSUE ON THE HUMMER H3. TOTAL COST FOR REPAIRS WAS PROJECTED TO BE $9,000 FOR ALL PARTS AND LABOR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HUMMER H3. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A POP FROM THE REAR PASSENGER'S SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH THE LEAF SPRINGS. THE VEHICLE WAS AWAITING A TOW. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 111,000.
WAS MAKING A RIGHT TURN,HEARD A LOUD POP WAS ABLE TO GET HOME.UPON INSPECTION THE REAR DRIVER SIDE LEAF SPRING FRACTURED.AFTER RESEARCHING THIS MUST BE AN ONGOING ISSUE,BUT NO RECALL.
THE IGNITION SWITCH IS STAKED AND IS NOT ABLE TO TURNING ON
I BELIEVE THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE H3 HUMMER 2006 I REQUEST TO BRING IT TO A DEALER TO GET IT CHECKED. HAS TO DO WITH THE TURNING, REVERSE. WHEN VEHICLE IS PUT IN NEUTRAL STILL SEEMS IN DRIVE. SOUNDS LIKE A PLASTIC NOISE. NEEDS TO BE CHECKED BY A CERTIFIED MECHANIC
MY SUNROOF HAS BEEN LEAKING, ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IT CHIMES OUT BEHIND & BELOW THE GLOVE BOX. ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE IT LEAKS DIRECTLY FROM THE SUNROOF ONTO THE DRIVER'S SEAT, AND BEHIND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. BOTH SIDES SOAK THE FLOORBOARDS FRONT & BACK. IT LEAKS WHETHER STATIONARY OR IN MOTION, HOWEVER WHEN IT HAS BEEN SITTING DURING A RAIN STORM, WHEN YOU MOVE IT, SHEETS OF WATER POUR DOWN FROM THE SUNROOF. *TR

THE H3 WILL NOT START. DASH SCREEN KEEPS SHOWING THE PASSLOCK ACTIVATED AND WON'T TURN OFF. COMPUTER THINKS THE H3 IS BEING STOLEN. I HAVE TRIED TO RESET AND NO LUCK. I HAD THIS PROBLEM ABOUT 4 WEEKS AGO AND CHANGED THE FUEL PUMP. THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN LAST WEEK AND NOW ON 28 MARCH 2020. ENGINE IS TURNING OVER AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS LIGHT UP, BUT SOUNDS LIKE FUEL IS NOT GETTING INTO THE FUEL PUMP AGAIN. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH, FINDING OTHERS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE IS TO WAIT 10 MIN, STILL NO LUCK. WAITING 15 MIN SEEMED TO WORK BEFORE, BUT NOW IT DOESN'T. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO BE SAFELY IN THE VEHICLE, DRIVE SOMEWHERE AND THEN IT STALLS AGAIN? I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND HAVEN'T HAD THIS ISSUE UNTIL IT STARTED 4 WEEKS AGO. WHAT IF THIS HAPPENS WHILE I AM DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND FUEL STOPS GOING TO THE PUMP? THIS COULD CAUSE A MULTI-VEHICLE ACCIDENT.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HUMMER H3. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, IT SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL RELAY AND THE FUEL PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT CALLED EDWARDS CHEVROLET BUICK GMC CADILLAC AT 712-366-9400 (LOCATED AT 3400 SOUTH EXPY, COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA 51501) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. I BOUGHT THIS H3 HUMMER USED AND IT RAN GOOD UNTIL LAST YEAR. IT WOULD NOT START AT DIFFERENT TIMES BUT AFTER YOU WAITED 10 MINUTES, IT WOULD START. WE JUST PAID 1300.00 TO HAVE THE FUEL PUMP REPLACED LAST WEEK. NOW IT WON'T START AGAIN. I HAVE SEEN MANY COMPLAINTS ON THIS AND THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM.
THE PADLOCK SYSTEM THAT THE CAR HAS IT PREVENTS THE CAR TO START AND LEAVES YOU STOPPED FOR 10 MINUTES. IT'S BEEN DOING IT LATELY MORE IN THE MORNING OR WHEN THE CAR HASN'T BEEN MOVED IN AWHILE. THE SECURITY ICON IN THE DASHBOARD BLINKS WHEN THE PASSLOCK SECURITY ENABLES AND THAT LEAVES THE CAR WITHOUT STARTING.
MY H3 HAS BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH RANDOM WARNING LIGHTS APPEARING. OFTEN MULTIPLE LIGHTS LIKE ENGINE, CHECK TRANSMISSION AND TRACTION. EACH TIME I WOULD TAKE IT TO MECHANIC AND WOULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM ANYTHING IN ENGINE. THEN THE 4 WHEEL LIGHT DRIVE WOULD NOT ILLUMINATE. THE MOST RECENT PROBLEM IS MUCH WORST... WHILE THE CAR WAS NOT RUNNING THE RIGHT TURN SIGNAL CAME ON BY ITSELF. I GOT IN IT TO DRIVE IT TO LOCAL MECHANIC AND WHILE DRIVING IT ACTIVATED THE BRAKE AND MANY WARNING LIGHTS WERE FLASHING AS WELL. VERY DISTURBING. I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE SINCE 2006 NOW IT HAS 125000 MILES. I HAVE KEPT A COMPLETE HISTORY OF MAINTENANCE THAT INCLUDES OIL CHANGED EVERY TIME BETWEEN 3500-5000 MILES
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HUMMER H3. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ANTI-THEFT WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED NUMEROUS TIMES WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO RESTART AFTER EACH FAILURE.
