The front passenger seat weight sensor may crack and short circuit, failing to suppress the air bag as intended.

Vehicle: 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid, 2.0L engine VIN: [XXX] Mileage at failure: ~73,000 miles Dealer: AutoNation Honda Fremont, California Estimated repair cost: ~$4,200 Issue: Blown head gasket Summary of Complaint: At approximately 73,000 miles, my 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid suffered a blown head gasket. The vehicle began showing symptoms of overheating and coolant loss, and a dealer diagnostic confirmed head gasket failure. The repair estimate from AutoNation Honda Fremont is approximately $4,200. A head gasket failure at this mileage is abnormal and indicates a potential design defect. I am aware of an ongoing class-action lawsuit concerning premature head gasket and engine failures in late-model Honda vehicles with turbocharged and hybrid engines, and my experience appears consistent with these allegations. This defect is a safety hazard because it can lead to sudden overheating, engine stalling, or complete failure while driving, which puts drivers and passengers at risk. It also creates an unreasonable financial burden on owners. I respectfully request that the NHTSA investigate this issue as a potential widespread defect across Honda CR-V Hybrid and related models. We have been trying to get our recall serviced for over 18 months. The dealer continues to tell us the parts need to be special ordered and they will call us back. However they never call us back. We have called Honda directly and have not received any help from them either.

Sudden engine failure while driving on highway with immediate loss of power. Engine failure was due to blown head gasket from failure in sealed coolant system. Engine failure occurred prematurely at 84k miles. Honda allegedly is aware of this failure in their system, and has not addressed it. Safety concern due to sudden loss of power while driving in areas with speeds at excess of 60 mph, no warning prior to failure.

My Honda CR-V Hybrid would stop working on the highway at high speeds. Sporadically, I would be driving at speeds from 55-75mph and the accelerator pedal would stop working and my car would start slowing to a halt. I would have to pull over to the side of the highway quickly, turn the car off, and then restart it. It usually would work but occasionally the car would stop a mile or two down the road and I would have to restart it again. This occurred six times between 11/24 and 1/25. In all cases, the car would still have electrical power but the accelerator would simply stop responding. This led to several dangerous situations where I needed to maneuver around trailer trucks while rapidly slowing. In all cases, there was no warning lights or messages. I had two different mechanics, including the dealership where I bought the car, look at it and neither could find a source of the problem. This problem as occurred to other owners of Honda CR-V's if you search for this problem on Reddit and other forums. I ended up selling the car back to the dealership at a loss and buying a different used car.
I have contacted a local Honda dealer every few months since 03/30/2024 and have been told they still don't have the parts for the recall.
Brakes failed due to a known issue with the Brake Simulator. The same vehicle has been recalled in Japan for this reason. Brakes became completely non-responsive while driving. Again, this is a known issue. The brakes simply due not work and in Japan they have identified a manufacturing process defect. [XXX] Vehicle was inspected by Team Honda in Baton Rouge. I recently noted that the steering wheel “sticks”, requiring a little extra effort in order to perform any slight lane correction and consequently requiring immediate additional correction from the opposite direction. This is very disconcerting especially at high speeds. After doing some online research, I found that the later models of the CRV and many other Hondas and Acuras are being recalled to correct this issue. This car has only 22,000 miles on it. I feel that it should be part of the recall.This is dangerous.
There is an open recall on 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid since Feb 2024. The authorized dealer/manufacturer is delaying the remedy stating the parts are not available yet. I have gone to my car dealership on 9/12/2024 and called Honda Corporation in October 2024 for an update when my car’s recall can be serviced and at both times they tell me that not enough parts are available to service my car’s recall. This is horrible customer service that a possible life and death recall can affect my situation because Honda is not taking responsibility in producing enough parts fast enough to resolve this recall. The contact owns a 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid. The contact stated while driving out of the driveway, the brakes became inoperable. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were blinking on and off. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that there was a faulty electronic turbo brake control unit simulator. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 36,000. The VIN was not available.
On July 25, 2024, at approximately 2:30 pm I was driving on NM 528 on my way to the airport. I was driving at about 50 miles per hour when I suddenly heard an explosion as if a window had shattered. I looked all around my vehicle to see if a window was broken but I did not see anything. I continued driving and, as I entered I-25 going south, I heard another explosion, again as if a window had shattered. There were no other vehicles near me on either occasion. I continued driving to the airport, picked up my wife, and on the way home I happened to open the inside cover to the sunroof. I saw the sunroof was shattered but there were no shards of glass inside the car. The explosions seem to have thrown the glass shards outside the vehicle. See my photos. I believe my safety was put in jeopardy since I could have lost control of my vehicle upon hearing the explosions. Also, when returning home, my wife and I could have been injured from falling shards of glass when I opened the cover to the sunroof. I reported this incident to my local Honda dealer and I received an appointment date of August 13, 2024 for possible servicing. The service advisor told me that a manager would make a determination at the time of service as to what Honda will do to remedy my problem. No one at the Honda dealer inspected the damage, nor have the police nor insurance representatives done so. There were no warning alerts from the vehicle itself prior to the incident. You may inspect my vehicle, just let me know prior to August 13.
Driver's seat belt frequently fails to solidly latch and may come unbuckled after the driver believes its positively engaged. Honda dealer has inspected it and claims they cannot replicate it. This is similar to the open campaign on this model, but this particular car is not covered by the range in the recall.

4 times now I have been driving on the freeway and my vehicle just slows down when putting Foot down on gas pedal nothing car comes to a complete stop with engine light on I turn off and on the engine an d the car goes again I have taken it at the time of incident to Honda dealerships and they keep telling Me There is nothing wrong with the car I tell them that there is something seriously wrong with My Car the engine light comes on and they said there is nothing showing The last time I was on freeway and it stalled in the lane I could of been killed All the times it happened I was on freeways doing between 65 and 70 miles per hour
