On December 1, 2025 the car gave a series of messages on the screen indicating that there was an issue with the electrical system. I was within a mile of home and so drove home because it was operating normally at first. Driving home the car went into a limp mode and could only go very slowly 15-20 mph probably). The car was towed from my house on 12/1/2025. The issue turned out to be a bad Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU). The car was fixed on 12/16/2025. I just wanted to make sure this failure was counted .
On March 1, 2026, while driving at normal roadway speed on a double yellow-lined road, my 2024 Genesis GV60 Advance displayed a "Check Electric Vehicle System" warning. With less than one minute of the warning appearing, the vehicle lost propulsion and rolled to a stop. I was able to steer into a parking lot, but I was stranded miles from home. There was minimal advance warning before complete loss of drive power. The vehicle could not be driven and required towing. The vehicle previously had the ICCU recall campaign marked as complete on January 3, 2025. Despite that prior recall remedy, the vehicle experienced sudden loss of propulsion. The vehicle is currently at the dealership for diagnosis and repair. The dealership has indicated extended diagnostic time and that related parts are on backorder. I am filing this compliant because sudden propulsion loss with little warning presents a significant safety risk to both occupants and surrounding traffic.

Electrical failure. Car was stuck in neutral on a hill with houses behind. Could not put in park, apply hazard light, or apply emergency brake. Could not exit the car safely due the fact if you took your foot of the brake the car would roll backward down hill uncontrolled. Steering was very stiff or locked so is was impossible to direct car to safe spot at the bottom of the hill. Have video documentation.
During a routine left hand turn at low speed (~10-15MPH), the vehicle engaged emergency braking. The dashboard indicated emergency braking was enabled. There were no objects in the vehicle's path. Acceleration was not possible during the event. Because the braking was unexpected and unintentional, the vehicle behind nearly collided with me.

Last year there was a recall associated with this vehicle due to the ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit). Two visits to the dealership were required to resolve the issue (November and December 2024). My vehicle was running properly until 11/17/25 PM when while freeway driving home I experienced a power failure that prompted me to immediately pull over to check the power circuit. My vehicle lost power, going from 65 mph to the 40's, and later the 20's. I was fortunately able to exit the freeway without incident and limped into a nearby dealership after hours where I left my car for repair. I suspect this may be another issue with the ICCU. I am still waiting on the dealership's diagnostics. I am reporting this incident, as based on internet forums, this issue remains a safety problem for the Genesis GV60. I was very fortunate not to have cars immediately behind me when the power failure occurred. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? - ELECTRICAL How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? - I WAS AT RISK FOR A REAR END COLLISION ON THE FREEWAY DUE TO THE ABRUPT LOSS OF POWER Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? - DEALERSHIP IS STILL WORKING ON CAR Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? - NO Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? - NO PRIOR WARNING SIGNS
Chrome trim piece above windshield detached and flew off when traveling at highway speed on freeway.
The approximately 52-inch-long chrome trim piece that runs the length of the top of the windshield came off while driving. Because this trim piece is at the top of the windshield, and out of the view of the driver, I am uncertain exactly when it came off, but I believe it came off while at freeway speed, and that is why I do not have, or know, the location of the missing trim. A trim piece of this size (approximately 52 inches) coming off my vehicle at freeway speed would have passed over the top of my vehicle and posed a safety hazard to a motorist or motorbike rider behind me. The manufacturer’s authorized dealer confirmed the missing piece and replaced it under warranty. I heard oddly pronounced wind noises before I noticed the trim piece was missing, and I believe, in retrospect, the noise may have been created by the loose trim piece prior to completing dislodging from the vehicle.
Due to regenerative braking, the brake lights dont go on when they should, or they go on when they shuldnt. This is well documented at [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Frequently, when starting my car, the instrument cluster display is blank. It can take many minutes for it to turn on. This is unsafe as I can’t see speed and other potential alerts.

The contact owns a 2024 Genesis GV60. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the instrument panel was intermittently darkened, and the contact had to wait several minutes for the instrument panel to return to normal operation. There was no warning light illuminated; however, an unknown error message was intermittently displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken back to the residence. A dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 9,000.
Steering wheel side Instrument Cluster does not turn on sometimes when starting the car. I will usually turn on after a few minutes, but there is no odometer or other information until it turns on.
The main cluster display periodically remains black, off or dark. When this happens you are unable to see your speed, lane departure, battery percentage and other vehicle stats. Car has been to the dealer twice for software updates but they have not fixed the problem. Genesis Owner forums state that others within the US have similar problems.
While I was parking in the lot, the vehicle nearly came to a stop when it abruptly accelerated on its own. My foot was firmly planted on the brake, a standard practice at the end of the parking process. The sudden acceleration made it impossible to regain control, resulting in a collision with the parking lot sign and a small tree. I took decisive action to steer the vehicle away from the glass door of the building in front of me, but it ultimately struck the building wall to my right. This incident highlights serious safety issues, specifically Sudden Unintended Acceleration (SUA) and a failure of the Collision Avoidance Assist safety technology.

The instrument cluster does not illuminate when car starts. This happens periodically and randomly and there are numerous reports of this on the internet. Surprised this has not been reported here previously.
