The contact owns a 2022 Genesis G70. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle hesitated to maintain automotive power while the accelerator pedal was depressed. No warning light was illuminated. In addition, the vehicle failed to exceed 45 MPH occasionally and went into LIMP Mode. The vehicle was restarted as a temporary fix. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed; however, the failure was not duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
My vehicle is covered under Safety Recall 023G involving an ECU update, inspection for DTC P0088, and high-pressure fuel pump replacement if inspection criteria are met. The recall is listed as completed, however the high-pressure fuel pump was not replaced, and the dealer has refused replacement. Only an ECU update was performed. I continue to experience fuel pressure–related symptoms consistent with the recall condition. The dealer has declined further action and has not provided documentation showing inspection results or justification for non-replacement. I believe the recall was improperly completed, creating a safety risk due to potential loss of engine power or stalling. I am requesting NHTSA review.
The headlights will randomly start getting excessive condensation and if it gets bad enough it will affect the turn signal and render it useless. The dealer and Genesis Care both just tell me to turn on my brights for 18min to clear it up. I've already had one replaced under warranty and now the other one is doing it outside of warranty and they refuse to do anything. Today there was so much condensation my turn signal stopped working and a warning came on the dash saying to check turn signal. There seems to be weak spots on the lens behind the bumper, it happens on almost every 21+ G70 and Genesis refuses to do anything.
I experience a lack of power issue when driving the vehicle and attempting to accelerate past 40-60 mph. I will floor the accelerator and the car still stalls and will not accelerate. This has been terrifying when merging onto the highway and realizing this issue is occurring, as it is sporadic and not noticeable on residential/low speed drives. In the videos I've taken, you can see the engine RPM increase to approximately 4k RPM; the gear indicator continues to show "D," indicating the RPM increase was due to a throttle-induced downshift as opposed to shifting with the paddles; and the vehicle speed fails to increase as would be expected at the necessary throttle application for the RPM to be at that level. I have taken my vehicle to to the genesis service dealership at least 5 times for this issue and it is still a recurring issue. Many genesis owners complain about this issue on forums with no resolution from Genesis.

I was driving my vehicle when all of a sudden my passenger side headlight went out. I initially thought it was a light bulb I needed to fix. I turned the vehicle on after a few hours and the light was working again, but on occasion the light randomly turns off while I am driving. I looked online how to fix it and found multiple people with same issue and condensation build up which mine has without being damage.

Vehicle: 2022 Genesis G70 Mileage at failure: ~46,000 miles Description of problem: While driving, my vehicle suddenly lost power and became unable to accelerate properly. I was nearly struck by a truck because the car lost all motive power in traffic without warning. This is extremely dangerous and could have caused a serious accident. The vehicle had already received the fuel pump recall repair in December 2024 Despite this, in September 2025 the vehicle required replacement of the fuel injectors under warranty due to failure. Safety concern: A car with only ~46,000 miles should not experience fuel system failures of this magnitude. Having both a recall repair and injector failure at such low mileage raises concerns about widespread defects in the Genesis G70 fuel system. Action requested: I am requesting NHTSA to investigate repeated fuel system failures (fuel pump and injectors) in 2022 Genesis G70 vehicles. These failures create a significant risk of crashes due to sudden stalling or loss of power.
The contact owns a 2022 Genesis G70. The contact stated that there was condensation in the headlamps. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who placed silica bags in the headlamps to absorb the condensation. The contact was informed that the headlamps needed to be replaced; however, the repair was not covered under warranty due to headlamp cracks along the seams. The contact related the failure to Technical Service Bulletin: 23-BD-002G (Information for Lamp Condensation); however, the vehicle was not covered under the TSB. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 14,000.

1. forward collision warning works sometimes at long distances, but not always at short distances 2. blind spot and parking collision warning does not always work ESPECIALLY FOR HUMANS. (there have already been three collisions with objects), Contacting the manufacturer does not help to solve the problem within three months

The contact owns a 2022 Genesis G70. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V528000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). However, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was not contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
After speaking to the Genesis dealerships closest to my residence, it was made aware to me that the recall part in question, the High-Pressure Fuel Pump, will not be able to be repaired in a timely manner due to the parts not being in stock and that the dealerships I contacted would not be able to provide service for these repairs until November 2024 (If the part is in stock at the time). The dealerships were not able to confirm when the parts would be back in stock but, regardless, they would not be able to perform services for this recall until November 2024. I am aware of the safety issues that this part has if not remedied in a timely manner so, I would like to ensure a quick resolution (Buy Back) can be completed. My vehicle has started stalling at moments of operating the vehicle and has had poor engine performance creating moments of sluggish acceleration. I have also experienced some delays in my engine starting on occasion. I feel as though this jeopardizes the safety and well being of me and anyone else who rides in my vehicle as any more wear and damage to this part could result in total engine failure leaving me without an operational vehicle and, possibly, creating an accident mid drive. I have contacted the following dealerships who both expressed that the parts for this recall are on back order and could not confirm when they would be back in stock along with the fact that they would not be able to provide service on said recall until November of 2024. Earnhardt Genesis of Gilbert - 3252 Auto Way, Gilbert, AZ 85297; (480) 517-5222 Genesis of Scottsdale - 15345 N Scottsdale Rd K-150, Scottsdale, AZ 85254; (480) 582-4443

Faulty, headlight. Cracks near the screw in the middle of the headlight plastic, Which causes it to stop working, which is a safety hazard. Upon investigation, there are tons and tons of them for sale online with the same crack from the same screw in the same spot and apparently Genesis is refusing to take the blame for the faulty headlight.
Found condensation on both headlights. Took to dealer and they stated that it was caused by rock chips and Genesis will not cover the cost of repair. I talked to Genesis corporate office and they said condensation is normal and they will not repair it. I took my car to a body shop and they said the cracks are coming from where the screws attach to the headlights. All the cracks on the headlights are where the screws are. Now the daytime running lights and the turn signals are not working. This is a safety issue.

The headlight assembly is not sealed properly. I had to have the passenger side headlight assembly replaced due to condensation inside of the assembly which can lead to the headlight shorting out. This was replaced by Lee Hyundai in Fayetteville, NC under the warranty. The driver side headlight assembly is now experiencing the same issue and it is set to be replaced again under warranty by Lee Hyundai. After some research online, I have heard from a number of other people who own this same model and year who have replicated experiences with the headlights allowing in moisture.
My vehicle is just over two years old and this has happened three times. Every light and warning message on the dash comes on all at once and the vehicle is put into limp mode. Going from 50 miles per hour to a little over 5 miles per hour in just a few seconds. Genesis also doesn't seem to think its an issue considering their dealers have had the car for two months and the only explanation I have been given is, "There is nothing wrong with your car" or "The car is driving great, you can pick it up." I have never felt scared to drive a car in my 10 plus years of driving until I purchased a 2022 Genesis G70.

The contact owns a 2022 Genesis GV70. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the vehicle inadvertently lost motive power however, the contact was able to safely coast to the side of the roadway. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle seemed to return to normal functionality; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate above 30 MPH. The failure persisted with the vehicle jerking and losing motive power while driving. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 2,300. The VIN was unavailable.
After a recent dealership visit for maintenance, the car began emitting a warning chime every 5 to 10 seconds and replace the tachometer display with "uneven road ahead" or "slippery road ahead". This takes place during the entire time the vehicle is on, at 5 to 10 second intervals. This renders the tachometer unusable. It dramatically decreases the usefulness of the warning chime for anything real since it is constantly going off. It is EXTREMELY distracting in city driving to have a warning alert constantly going off. Genesis is aware of the problem, but has provided no fix and simply says "June" for the purported release of a fix
The contact owns a 2022 Genesis G70. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds with the Adaptive Cruise Control activated, the vehicle experienced phantom braking without another vehicle being nearby. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure had occurred approximately 20 times. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 4,300.

Upon pressing the gas pedal to start the car moving after a light turned green, vehicle shuddered, all dash lights came on and vehicle was unable to do anything but coast at a dangerously slow speed. Check engine light remained lit. I pulled over and turned off the engine and called the Genesis connected service with offered a repair slot. I waited awhile and restarted the car which turned on but remained in “limp mode” without significant gas boost and would not go over 40mph. I returned the car to the used car lot the following day. This car’s odometer read leas than 5K miles at this time, and was a 2022 model year.
Popping and cracking sound since the 3rd day I owned the car- a new Genesis G70. It is now at the dealer for the 3rd time and they said the sunroof assembly may need to be replaced. I saw on a forum about Hyundais (Genesis is owned by the same) having issues with exploding sunroofs and the precursor was the sound I am experiencing. I am not alone as I saw on the Genesis forum MANY owners are having the same issue. In addition I am having a popping and cracking noise from the dash which is not being addressed and the car overall is shaky. This all started at 150 miles on the car and I’ve been driving loaners now more than my actual car. I am writing because if there is something inherently wrong with this model something needs to be done and I’ve been getting the run around from the dealership and Genesis corporate has yet to contact me and should have given the dealership is legally suppose to notify them within 7 days and the first work order was established on May 18th I believe. It’s now June 11th and the third time my car is in at the dealership it was purchased at. When I saw that post about sunroofs exploding I got very nervous and I do not want to see that happen to anyone.
