THIS TRUCK IS BEING USED IN A BOX TRUCK APPLICATION WITH STANDARD 8' WIDE BOX, 16' LONG. THE SIDE MIRRORS THAT COME ON THE 2019 SILVERADO 5500HD DO NOT EXTEND OUT FAR ENOUGH TO SEE SAFELY ALONG THE SIDE OF THE STANDARD 8' BOX. IT IS VERY HARD TO SEE TRAFFIC ON EITHER SIDE AND EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO BACK UP SAFELY. I NOR THE DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN ABLE TO GET ANY HELP WITH THIS SAFETY ISSUE FROM CHEVROLET FOR OVER A YEAR NOW. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY A DOT OFFICER THAT I MUST GET THE MIRRORS TO EXTEND OUT FAR ENOUGH TO CLEAR THE BOX IN MY REAR VIEW. I FEEL CHEVROLET SHOULD MAKE THIS A RECALL ISSUE FOR THE SAFETY OF EVERY 5500/6500 TRUCK USED WITH A STANDARD 8' BOX APPLICATION. MY DEALERSHIP SAID CHEVROLET PUT THE EXACT SAME MIRRORS ON THE 2020 MODEL AS WELL. PLEASE HELP!
