The liftgate has randomly started closing on me while I'm loading groceries at least 3 times in the past year. Every time it has hit me in the forehead with enough force to cause intense pain for several days. Otherwise, it works normally so there is no way I know to intentionally reproduce the issue. It has not been inspected because, again, it has happened like 3 times in the past year. Very painful, but doesn't seem likely to be something obvious.

During multiple drives the vehicle completely shuts off when driving or at lower speeds. When this occurs (4 times over the last 3 months) the vehicle has no power or ability to restart creating a major safety issue. You cannot turn on the hazards or anything in the vehicle. The vehicle is still in drive (because you were driving when it occurred) and so you're unable to shift back into park to restart. After some time you are able to restart the vehicle and continue driving.

The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 179,000.
Check engine light is on Turbo is failing, underboost code. Very unsafe on roadway due to unpredictable loss of power. The issue has been diagnosed through my local service center. I have not taken it to a dealership yet but will be next week. The issue occurred three weeks ago I believe

New tires placed. Oil change next day noted oil leak on differential due to gasket. Mechanic tried to obtain gasket but system told him because my VIN was below a certain number I would need a new differential. Additionally, gasket could not be obtained. Buick knew a problem existed and changed manufacturing, hence, VIN above that certain number has no problems. What all of us below that VIN number?
When traveling crossing over a bridge onto a highway, my tire started to shake uncontrollably. I went to a tire shop and they found nothing. Upon traveling recently it happened again while on the highway. This issues has affected my tire pressure sensors. I was informed that this is called shudder bucking and only happens when driving at a high speed. Upon research, I was able to find out that this is a known issue for my vehicle model made between the years of 2016 and 2020. This a complete safety hazard and concern and should not come at the expense of the vehicle owner.

I used the remote start on my key fob to warm up the vehicle before work. About 10 minutes later, I went to my vehicle to leave, I noticed the car was on fire. I opened the door and saw that the driver seat was on fire. I ran inside the house to get cups of water to put the fire out. Looks like the seat warmer on the driver side failed and ignited the leather seat. My life was at risk since a fire ensued. I was put in danger by having to put the fire out myself before it caused further damage. Also breathing in the fumes of the leather was a potential danger. The problem has not been reproduced. The car is currently at the dealership to be further inspected. No warning signs came up before the fire. No police reports were filed

October 2023 my brake on the drivers side ruptured that let to the master cylinder. Lost brake pressure and all brake fluid resulting in no braking ability at all. May 9th 2024 took my vehicle for scheduled maintenance and was told vehicle was in excellent condition. 20 days later the brake line on the passenger side ruptured leading to the master cylinder resulting brake fluid leakage and no brake performance. This issue is a previous recall and should be reinstated. I've spent twelve hundred dollars on repairs for an issue that publicized as an open recall. I could have lost my life and Buick GMC refuse to do anything about it.
When I am accelerating at a faster pace, always at 40 mph, my vehicle will start to shake. I have tested it several times now getting onto the interstate, it becomes an issue on the "on ramp" because I have to release the acceleration pedal and then very slowly get up to speed which causes me to not be able to get close enough to the posted speed while on the interstate which in turn causes other drivers to either slow down or try to move in another lane. I took it to my local Buick dealership (Trecek Automotive of Portage) on 4/29/24. They charged me $172.68 for diagnostics which resulted in this: Test drove. Did not feel shaking at first. The harder the vehicle was accelerated, the worse the shaking got. Recommend replacing front CV axle shafts. Cost approx. $1300. At the same time, I had a leak in the left rear axle seal which luckily was under warranty and was replaced. My 2017 Buick Envision has only 56,000 miles on it.
The vacuum pump failed, causing the gear to explode, which in turn damaged the cam shaft. Yes, this is available for inspection. The brake was unable to be depressed, requiring extreme force to being able to safely stop at an area that was safe to do so. I turned the car off and it made a funny sound. When I tried to start the car, it would no longer start. The car was towed to my local auto mechanic and then to the closest Buick dealership. The dealership diagnosed the problem outlined above. No warning lights.

I was returning home from shopping. As I approached a stop sign, I applied the brakes and the brake pedal went completely to the floor: Fortunately, I was able to stop before entering the intersection. I had the vehicle towed to a nearby Buick dealer to determine the cause of the brake failure. I was told the left front brake line had a hole in it causing total loss of brake fluid - cause unknown. There were no warning lamps or other symptoms of the problem prior to the brake failure. The brake line was replaced by the dealer at significant cost to me.
The contact owns a 2017 Buick Envision. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the infotainment system failed intermittently. As a result of the failure, the contact was unable to access important safety features such as the rear camera, side view camera, and Lane Keep Assist. The EPS warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the infotainment system. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who confirmed the diagnosis. The vehicle was repaired and taken back to the dealer, who was unable to program the new infotainment unit. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 90,000.

This is the second time its happened but today while I was already out my driver side seat belt will not release. No matter what I do, the seat belt will not release. Therefore I had to drive home without a seat belt, which is scary. This same exact thing happened before and I had it fixed at the dealership. I've not had any accidents or anything that would affect the seat belt.
The contact owns a 2017 Buick Envision. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal to stop the vehicle, the brake pedal extended to the floorboard. The vehicle failed to immediately stop, causing the braking distance to be extended. Upon inspection, there was brake fluid leaking from the front driver’s side wheel. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who diagnosed that the front driver’s side brake hose had ruptured causing brake fluid to leak from the vehicle. The brake hose was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The contact later experienced the same failure to the front passenger’s side brake hose. The mechanic stated that the rubber hose had detached from the metal coupling. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 33,902.
I had just left the driveway at my in-laws house, which is approx. an hour and 45 minutes from my home. Within moments, randomly, the sun roof popped open, as if someone had hit a remote. It would not close, and after trying for a bit, decided to drive home and we would address it there. When I hit the open road, the roof went the rest of the way open and then about two miles from the house, I starting choking on the smell of burning plastic. I immediately pulled over on to the shoulder of a side road, turning off the car. My husband was in a vehicle behind me and came over and we were both very concerned the vehicle was going to catch on fire. He tried to pull the fuse in the panel, but when we turned the vehicle back on, there was smoke coming from the sunroof motor area, and the smell was atrocious. The inside hood liner was very warm near the rear of the vehicle with the motor. At that point, we decided to call a tow truck, because it was obvious there was an electrical short. Because the sun roof was stuck open, we had to get a car cover to protect it from the rain coming in. The dealership investigated the next day, and confirmed there was an electrical short that was throwing high-voltage power in to the sunroof. It had melted the motor and wires around it, and had we gone any further, the voltage would have caused a more significant fire. They had to do significant repairs, costing $1400, as well as some clean-up of the interior to try and ensure we weren't continuing to breathe burnt-plastic fumes.

Driver front brake hose burst, mechanic placed back in packaging for me to keep for inspection. Fortunately it busted coming to a stop for traffic light while already slowing, then could slowly drive off roadway into a parking lot, brake pedal went to the floor due to loss of fluid and could have been catastrophic for my wife or other motorists. My mechanic replaced with factory GM hoses on both sides. My mechanic is a state of Maryland licensed inspection station and confirmed the failure. No prior warning, Onstar records will confirm, after the fact, of lights and warnings of brake failure.
Owner of a 2017 Buick Envision that the front driver’s side seat belt strap has started to fray along the seat belt which could fail in a crash. It seems that the male seat belt connector maybe causing the fraying. The current mileage on the 2017 Envision is 41,497 miles. The local dealer was notified when scheduling an appointment for service.
Power steering loss. While driving the electronic power steering quit, and I received warnings that the power steering was not working. I also got errors on the advance headlights not working and that the all wheel drive was disable. Drove home with no power steering and checked the power fuses with a volt meter. No failures found. Restarted the car and there was no more problems. The online diagnostic indicated no failures recorded.
The interior windshield, side widows and rear window accumulates moisture and frost and it drips down on my dashboard, down my windows, and forms a puddle in the rear of my vehicle as it melts down. I’m afraid this is going to destroy my electrical system and the interior of my vehicle. I have to wipe up the water with a towel.
Car keeps jolting forward on it’s. This almost caused me to slam into the back of someone’s car on the highway in bumper to bumper traffic. While trying to slow down the car forcefully slams forward. Other times I have been trying to accelerate from a stop and the car slams forward. When this happens everyone is thrown forward this started happening after repair at Jack Gimbalvo Buick body shop in York. Jack Giambalvo Buick dealership said they can’t duplicate the problem and there are no misfires. I will be calling corporate to make another complaint. I have already been in an accident in this car due to the brakes not working correctly and the whole dash malfunctioning.

The contact owns a 2017 Buick Envision. The contact stated that the front driver’s side seat belt strap had started to fray at the seat belt connection point. The contact indicated that the fraying became progressively worse over time. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 36,000.
The brakes went to the floor with very little stopping power. Took the car to the dealer and the left brake line failed. The dealership said they thought since there was minor damage to the left front of the car, that this was the cause of the failure. The brake line was replaced with an aftermarket part and brake lines flushed and replaced. We had another instance of brakes going to the floor with little stopping power. This time the right side brake line failed. The dealership noticed that there was no damage on the right side of the car to cause this failure. The dealership told me they sent an email to corporate and checked for a recall on the brake lines. If this car would have been on the highway when either of these failures took place, we might be having a different conversation. I have asked the dealership to find out the cost of replacing the rear brake lines. Dealership involved in repairs. Reed Buick GMC 9550 NW Prairie View Rd Kansas City MO 64153 Phone 816-436-6300
Left front brake hose failure.
Brakes did not engage when my husband pressed on them while he was driving. Brakes when straight to the floor. He noticed brake fluid on the ground and when he filled it back up and pressed on the brakes the fluid spewed out of the brake line. His safety and the safety of others was impacted because he was in traffic and a car started to slow and our Envisions brakes were not working. He had to swerve around multiple cars and go through a traffic light to avoid causing a wreck. This just happened on 7/31 so it has not ben reported but will be going to the dealership tomorrow on 8/1/2022. We did not notice any messages or warning lights on the dash. This appears to be an issue based on the other NHTSA report number 11398881,11396874,11467669,11465728,11454501 and 11406327

At 15,238 miles I was at gas station to fill up vehicle only to discover the fuel filler flap was broken and could not get gas nozzle in vehicle for fill up. Immediately had my mechanic look at it and they were able to repair it. They were able to reattach spring but could not attach sealing plate without a disassemble. Had to replace the fuel neck assembly. No warning lights had come on dash for gas vapor, or other things. I have pictures of mileage and broken fuel filler cap. This could have been disastrous if I was in some small town that could not get parts or had run out of gas somewhere or if gas vapors started leaking.

The brake fluid pooled on the floor in the garage. I'm not sure how long it may have leaked out the the brakes seemed mushy the last couple of trips to the store. The indicator lights said I need to service brakes. When I put more brake fluid in, it came right out. There was a split on the right front brake hose, in the rubber section just before the junction. See attached picture.
We own a 2017 Buick Envision with approximately 42,000 miles on it. While on her way home from work, my wife experienced brake failure that almost caused her to be in an accident. I checked the fluid and the brake fluid level was low. I added fluid and it leaked out as soon as the brake pedal was depressed, which to me points to a failed brake line.
