Owners will be notified of the recall beginning June 11, 2018, and will receive a second notification when remedy parts become available. [XXX] My car called fire I have a BMW seven series 750 LI apparently there was a cooling pump that Bmw put on the car that calls us fires. Bmw did a recall on these cooling pumps, but they did not add all the numbers to the recall, even though my car had, the actual coolant pump that caused fires my question is why was my Vin number that out of the recall if I had the faulty pump on my car, I would like for number to be added to the recall INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact owns a 2011 BMW 750LI. The contact stated that the vehicle was parked next to the house with the engine turned off for approximately one hour before suddenly smoke was present coming from under the hood of the vehicle. The contact opened the hood and discovered flames coming from the ECM wire harness. The contact used a bucket of water to extinguish the flames. The cause of the fire was not determined. The vehicle was later towed to the local dealer but no diagnostic service or repairs were performed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 11V521000(Engine and Engine Cooling). The contact indicated that the vehicle had experienced that same failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 160,000.

drive speed approx. 5-10MPH slow down to almost stop intersection red light stop, over a very small bump. All sudden I hear a pop and all air is leak out and TPMS sensor goes crazy...Pull over and check, so there was a hole approx. 2-4 Inches on the sidewall tire unrepairable. This is an unsafe product on the road my opinion. Can't imaging if I was drive on freeway, could be a major fatality. Bridgestone Potenza S001 RFT 245/45R19XL 102Y BSW, suppose to be run flat. But not exactly I can't barely limping, luckily there was Allen Tires just block away, I was barely limp in, but my rim now womp. I think this products is unsafe on the road.

THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR WOULD NOT FULLY LATCH/CLOSE AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, WHICH PREVENTED ME FORM BEING ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR. SEVERAL ATTEMPTS WERE MADE BY VIEWING DOOR LATCH TO MAKE SURE THERE WAS NO OBSTRUCTION AND THE LATCH WAS POSITIONED CORRECTLY. THE INSIDE DOOR HANDLE ALSO SEEMED TO BE WORKING FINE. AFTER WAITING ON A TOW TRUCK TO ARRIVE THE DRIVER MANIPULATED THE SAME PIECES I DID, ONE EXCEPTION BEING, HE LET THE WINDOW DOWN, AND THEN PUSHED DOOR CLOSE AND IT LATCHED. I AM NOW SCARED TO DRIVE IT SINCE I DON'T KNOW IF IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN. I DROVE IT TO BARON BMW (SHAWNEE MISSION, KANSAS) AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTING THEY COULD DO UNLESS IT HAPPENED AGAIN/STOPPED WORKING AT WHICH POINT I WOULD NEED TO HAVE IT TOWED. POWER SUPPLY MALFUNCTION LIGHT COMES ON WHILE CAR IS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY IS THE MOST DANGEROUS, ALSO OCCURS WHILE DRIVING IN THE CITY. CAR IS RESTARTED LIGHT GOES AWAY. CAN CAUSE SERIOUS HARM OR EVEN DEATH WHILE DRIVING, IT IS A MAJOR ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. CAR GIVES A TIMER, AND THEN SHUTS DOWN ALL MAJOR FUNCTIONS OF THE VEHICLE. COST TO REPLACE HYBRID BATTERY CAUSING ISSUE IS MONOPOLIZED AT 10,000 US DOLLARS.

THIS IS A KNOW PROBLEM UNDER SIB130215 WHICH STATES ONLY PRODUCTION DATES BETWEEN JAN 2011 AND DEC 2011. MY PRODUCTION DATE WAS OCT 2010. THE SAME PROBLEM EXISTS WITH MANY OF THE N63 ENGINE CARS. DURING MY CAR DRIVING ON THE HIGH WAY IN GEORGIA (DECEMBER 2015), THE CAR HAD A HYBRID SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED. THIS CAUSED ALL OF THE WARRANTING LIGHTS TO COME ON IN THE DASH AND THE HYBRID BATTERY STOP CHARGING. ALL OF THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS ARE POWERED BY THE HYBRID BATTERY. WHEN THE BATTERY WAS DEPLETED, ALL OF THE ELECTRONICS IN THE CAR STOP WORKING AS I WAS DRIVING, TO MY MOTHERS HOUSE. THE DASH WOULD NOT SHOW MY SPEED (NOTHING SHOWED ON THE DASHBOARD), MY STEERING WHEEL WAS HARDER TO TURN, AND THERE WERE NO LIGHTS AT ALL IN THE CAR. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN, CONSIDERING I HAD MY WIFE AND 2-YEAR OLD CHILD IN THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME. ALL OF THE ELECTRONICS IN THE CAR COMPLETELY STOP WORKING, EXCEPT FOR THE HEADLIGHTS, ENGINE RUNNING, AND WIPER BLADES STAYED ON. DURING THIS SITUATION, THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE, BECAUSE THERE WAS NO ABS, STABILITY CONTROL, POWER STEERING, AIR BAG, OR ANY OTHER ELECTRONIC SAFETY DEVICE. I CALLED BMW OF NORTH AMERICA AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE IS NO WARRANTY FOR THE HYBRID BATTERY AFTER THE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY PERIOD (4 YEARS), AND THERE ARE NO AFTERMARKET WARRANTY PRODUCTS THAT WILL COVER THE BATTERY. THE HYBRID BATTERY IS $10,000. THE BMW TECH SAID THAT THE BATTERY WAS WEEK AND SHOULD BE REPLACED. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL ITEM (ALL OF THE MANUFACTURERS OF HYBRID VEHICLES COVER THEIR HYBRID BATTERIES FOR A PERIOD 6 - 8 YEARS). THIS ITEM NOT ONLY AFFECTS THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE PASSENGERS, BUT ALSO THE ABILITY FOR THE VEHICLE TO BE USED LEGALLY IN THE UNITED STATES.
DURING MY CAR DRIVING ON THE HIGH WAY IN GEORGIA (DECEMBER 2015), THE CAR HAD A HYBRID SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED. WHEN THE BATTERY WAS DEPLETED, ALL OF THE ELECTRONICS IN THE CAR STOP WORKING AS I WAS DRIVING, TO MY MOTHERS HOUSE. THE DASH WOULD NOT SHOW MY SPEED (NOTHING SHOWED ON THE DASHBOARD), MY STEERING WHEEL WAS HARDER TO TURN, AND THERE WERE NO LIGHTS AT ALL IN THE CAR. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN, CONSIDERING I HAD MY WIFE AND 2-YEAR OLD CHILD IN THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME. ALL OF THE ELECTRONICS IN THE CAR COMPLETELY STOP WORKING, EXCEPT FOR THE HEADLIGHTS, ENGINE RUNNING, AND WIPER BLADES STAYED ON.
