STEERING:GEAR BOX:MOUNTING BRACKET
Defect Description
Shyft Group (Shyft) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Blue Arc BA4L-800 vehicles. The mounting fasteners may loosen or detach, causing the steering gearbox to bind.
Consequence
Binding in the gearbox can cause a loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Shyft will replace the steering gearbox mounting bolts and washers, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 23, 2026. Owners may contact Shyft customer service at 1-800-237-7806. Shyft's number for this recall is 26-01.

PARKING BRAKE
Defect Description
Shyft Group (Shyft) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Blue ARC BA4L-800 vehicles. The spacer for the brake caliper may be too big, resulting in an increased air gap.
Consequence
A brake caliper with an increased air gap may prevent the parking brake from properly engaging, allowing the vehicle to rollaway and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Shyft will replace the brake calipers, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 2025. Owners may contact Shyft customer service at 1-800-237-7806. Shyft's number for this recall is 25-17.

Consequence
Adjusting the horizontal headlight beam can create a glare, or reduce visibility for the driver, increasing the risk of a crash.
