Defect Description
Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2024-2025 A Class vehicles. The platform retaining plate bolts might not have been properly tightened during assembly.
Consequence
Loose bolts may allow the retaining plate or platform to detach, becoming a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash. The platform may also detach from the boom tip while elevated with occupants aboard, increasing the risk of injury or death.
Remedy
Altec will instruct owners to inspect and tighten the retaining bolts. Altec will provide replacements for any missing hardware, free of charge.
