Heater core constantly “clogs” and no longer blows hot air on drivers side of the vehicle. Either through the defroster vents or floor vents, this makes it difficult to defrost the drivers side windshield or side window (can’t see side mirror!). Jeep wants me to spend &3500 to replace entire system!!!

Wiring harness and a fuse on the harness for the auxiliary Balmar alternator installed by Winnebago partially melted due to proximity to turbocharger. Very concerning due to other owners reporting Balmar alternator fires and alternator regulator failures.

1. Feb 1st. Vehicle stopped on a major highway while I was in fast lane at 70 mph. 2. I could have died. And most certainly would have caused a major accident if myself and others not been keeping proper distance. 3. No. I'm out of warranty. 4. No. 5. Most of the sensors flashed all random before vehicle stopped. I mean the warning sensors like tpms, mitigation, emergency braking system.

I had problem with the awning on my Winnebago Revel going in and out while moving and while parked, it never went out more than an inch or two. Awning button was not engaged nor was the mobile app. Awning did seem to work normal when switch was engaged. Because of my concern that the awning would engage while traveling I took it in for service March 21 2022. Tech checked wiring and gears and found
... nothing wrong. On September 21, 2022 awning self engaged while parked and deployed at great force. No one was in the vehicle at the time, it was fortunately parked at the time; however, we were close by and witnessed the force. Fortunately, no one or property was damaged. We called Carefree of Colorado, the manufactor for assistance. The awning had to be manually retracted, however the motor would not lock the awning into place and has had to be strapped to secure. The fuse was also removed so motor would not attempt to engage and extend the awning. Awning is available for inspection as I have been trying to get it repaired and have not been able to. Camping World ofAsheville inspected the awning, they suggested I return to my dealer for further assistance since the awning had prior issue. I have yet to hear from my dealer.Read more

Just want to inform you of a potentially dangerous situation on 2018 Winnebago Forza’s. The propane line for the Truma Water Heater is routed under the right sink cabinet but above the metal engine box. As it runs, it is pinched between the engine box and cabinet. During driving, the cabinet moves up and down and chaffs and crushes the propane line. I caught mine in time and routed it, however,
... had I not caught this, it would have chaffed through and Boom. Truma Corp technician found this kinked line because I was having Water Heater problems since day one. I see on some of the Facebook groups, owners are reporting similar problems with their Truma Water Heaters not providing enough hot water. This is the end result of a pinched propane line. There is (14.6 WC) which is enough gas in the line for an initial startup, but the flow of propane quickly drops (3-6 WC) which is not enough to maintain a lite burner, so it cycles on and off or goes out and you get an error code. While driving down the highway we noticed a noise. The noise got louder. I was a passenger and looked in the mirror and I could see that our awning manufactured by Carefree had deployed. We hurriedly pulled over to the shoulder. It was not a very wide shoulder and it was very dangerous. We were obviously very anxious about this. We could not get the awning to pull back in. We limped to the next ex
... it where it would be safer to work on it. We were then able to get the awning to retract but it was ripped. We drove carefully to the next rest stop and applied four zip ties to the awning and pulled the DC fuse. We did not want this to happen again. For our safety and for the safety of others. This is a brand new vehicle and our first road trip. There was no warning other than the sound. There have been no problems prior to this incident. The awning had been used one time at a campground with no problem. It is our understanding that this awning is not supposed to deploy when the engine is running no matter what. Obviously that system failed. We immediately reported to the dealer. According to them they had never known anyone that this is happened to you before, yet following the incident I have found multiple reports of this happening. This is extremely dangerous.Read more

We only used the automatic electric awning a handful of times, On September 2nd after retracting the awning, it violently opened on it own. Once secure we were able to drive to a local store and purchase heavy duty zip ties to secure for additional strength since we had a 1,000 mile drive home. There are numerous accounts online regarding random deployment of the awning. Because of the large size ("sail area") of the deployed awning, having it extend while traveling home on various interstate highways was a great concern. There has been a recall issued (for improper installation and randomly opening) for the identical awning on the same vehicle, for the 2022 and 2023 models but for some reason the 2021 model year was excluded, even though the identical awning.Read more

When driving the ABS warning alerted us. We stopped and inspected, but came up with nothing. After returning to drive mode the RV started making a loud hissing sound. We stopped and had it towed to a mechanic shop. The Park Assist brake burnt up and needed to be replaced. After paying several thousands for the part and the labor we received the RV back and proceeded to our next trip. After about 1
... hr into our drive, when attempting to stop at a red light the brake peddle was hard to push down barley being able to stop. But the peddle did not return. It had to manually be returned. We pulled off right away into a parking lot and the same issue occurred again. After googling this, it said maybe the brakes over heating. So we sat for over an hour. Nothing changed. We checked for a brake leak-there was now. We filled up the brake reserve-still no luck. So we once again had to have it towed. After the mechanic checked it out. He said the brake booster was bad. Another few thousands. I am worried about the braking system. Someone told me that the Chassis had a recall on the brakes. Could anyone please provide any information if you know of this. Thank you, for your time and for reporting this.Read more
