Balmar alternator or regulator fails to work as designed. No charging of batteries when idling or driving. This is a Safety Issue because fires have been reported as a result of these electrical system failures. Lithionics (battery) app confirms no charge reaching the batteries, see attached screenshots. Potential Risk of Fire when not working properly as evidenced by others with Balmar failure
... s as reported to NHTSA. This is the 3rd failure we have encountered: 1st failure confirmed by Winnebago, and was replaced with like parts. 2nd failure occurred just prior to the 2023 recall, and was addressed by Winnebago Factory Service during recall by replacing parts again. 3rd failure occurred today. The current failure happened when the unit (2022 Winnebago EKKO) was parked in our driveway, not while travelling. Upon starting the vehicle, the alternator emitted a loud whining sound and subsequently provided no charging to the batteries. We are aware of the symptoms based upon our previous failures, and know of others who also had a Balmar failure after having the prior recall completed. We desire a lasting permanent solution for this problem as it has not been adequately addressed by the previous Winnebago recall.Read more

This vehicle has been diagnosed as having the Cylinder Head Crack issue referenced in Mazda TSB 01-013/21. The car has just over 70,000 miles on it, so I understand it is out of Warranty, yet this issue only came up due to a known design flaw by Mazda. Immediately, I brought it in, only to be told Mazda would not assist in a Good Faith repair. I have a 2015 Kia optima bought in July 2023 from a used dealer. This is the 4th Kia my family have owned. Prior to purchasing I ran a car fax and checked for recalls. I had it towed on Tuesday to a local shop who then told me it needed to go to the Kia dealership which is about 20 miles away… I had to have it towed again.. once at the Kia dealership I would told that more than likely it would be covered 100% due to a defect in the engines… I received a call back on Friday and was told it would not be covered due to a product improvement that was not complete that came out in 2018… 5 years prior to me owning the car.. I never received any information concerning the produce improvement … Again it was check for recalls on the https://www.nhtsa.gov/ by myself and also the dealer… none was showing and to this day it is not showing.. I even check the Kia website today and it still does not show the product improvement needed…. I see that there has also been a class action lawsuit that was settled due to the defective engines… I assure you if I knew of a recall it would have been completed. This car is the only mode of transportation my son has. I am a single parent who works for a local government and I do not make nor have the $6800 for an engine replacement. I am still paying on this car as I had to finance it due to lack of funds to purchase… Again we did our due diligence to make sure the car was in operating order when I purchased it.. we check recalls car fax and did not know of the issues… this is the 4th family Kia car and I trusted the bra INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMARead more

Potential frame failure. First noticed [XXX]. Grand Design contacted, but no appointment due to "Customer Care Center" being moved. Referred to Royal RV in Middlebury, IN. Appt. set for Mid May. During the time before returning to Royal RV a YouTube video was discovered showing the same RV as ours with the exact same issues had been shared with GD on March 28th, 2018. RV returned to Royal RV XXX, 2022. Their inspection identified broken welds same area as shown on the above mentioned video. After much effort, Lippert arrived XXX 2022 to make repairs. Lippert Tech noted that delamination under bedroom slide was most likely caused by broken welds but he could not correct. Contacted Grand Design but could not schedule an appointment due to "rally appointments". Appointment set for our return in May, 2023. No concern by Grand Design on our 3000 mile round trip. RV returned to Grand Design on XXX, 2023. Very little detail on what corrective action taken other than to repeat "your frame flex" problem corrected. Much more detail on the bedroom slide issue. A section of the outside wall removed as well as the complete slide to repair broken welds. We picked up RV approx. on XXX. Reviewed Work Order #XXXXX. Again no details on the frame failure only the Flex Issue. Spoke with the Customer Care mgr. to relay our disappointment with Grand Design and Lippert to feel no responsibility for endangering lives on the highway. Out of pocket expense for us $3821.00. I leased a 2022 Nissan Sentra in February 2022. About two months after leasing the vehicle, I started having problems with the car battery. The car battery would die for no reason at all. I took it to the Nissan dealership several times and each time they said the battery was perfectly fine and they didn't find any issues. However, my battery kept dying and I would be stranded for long periods of times. This continued for months. It got to the point where I had to purchase jumper cables and then a portable charger. I finally contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs about the battery (Case# [XXX]) and they told me to take it to the dealership to be serviced. I made an appointment on 05/23/23 and this time the battery failed and they replaced the car battery. I wish I could say that this was the end of the problem but I was having the same issues with the new battery too. Same as before, several times. Once I stopped at gas station after getting gas the car wouldn't start the battery was dead and I had to get a jump. We have had multiple occurrences of a dangerous situation on a 2014 F150. Vehicle died three times. Once at 65MPH, randomly shut off going down the road. After waiting for help for 30 mins, decided to try restarting, fired right up. Second time, I was 800 miles from home. Shut off vehicle after long highway run pulling trailer. Vehicle refused to restart, then after 30 mins or so restarted.
... Third time, I drove three blocks for fuel, at 3AM. Vehicle was dead on service station drive, refused to restart. Waited 90 mins for wrecker. Tried several times to restart, never did. When it unloaded from the wrecker, it fired right up. There were no warning lamps, check engine lights or any other indicator of impending doom. The safety of myself and others definitely was at risk. On the first occurrence I was in rush hour traffic with a dead vehicle. The second occurrence left me stranded in a remote location. The final occurrence left me stranded in the dark with a dead vehicle at 3AM. The issue is documented by Ford service bulletin TSB-15-0137. I find this to be a very disturbing situation, as the fuel pump fuse melts, causing a dead vehicle. The problem was diagnosed by an independent repair facility.
