I HAVE A 2012 VOLVO XC60 WITH AN ADHESIVE FAILURE AT THE TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD THAT IS APPARENTLY CAUSED BY A MANUFACTURING DEFECT THAT VOLVO HAS YET TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR REPAIRING AT THEIR DEALERSHIPS. 2012 VOLVO S60. VIN: [XXX] . ON OR ABOUT 09/09/2019, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A CERTIFIED MECHANIC TO REPAIRER/REPLACE THE PASSENGER DOOR LATCH/LOCK, WHICH HAD FAILED. THIS FAILURE PREVENTED ALL LOCKING AND LATCHING SAFETY FEATURES TO OPERATE. THIS CAUSED THE DOOR TO NOT LATCH OR LOCK ALLOWING THE DOOR TO OPEN DURING ANY TURN. UPON ARRIVAL AT THE MECHANIC'S SHOP THE DRIVER'S DOOR LOCK/LATCH FAILED

THE MECHANIC CONTACTED VOLVO AND WAS ADVISED THAT VOLVO WAS AWARE OF THE FAILURES BUT IT HAD NOT BEEN MADE PUBLIC AND NO RECALL WAS IN AFFECT. A COMPLAINT WAS MADE BY ME TO VOLVO CORPORATE AND WAS TOLD TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A VOLVO DEALERSHIP. ALL INSTRUCTIONS WERE FOLLOWED. A VIDEO WAS MADE BY ME WITH MY 15 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER USING THE CAMERA IN A PARKING LOT. THIS VIDEO ILLUSTRATES THE UNSAFE DOOR LOCK/LATCH AND IT'S EXTREME DANGER TO THE PUBLIC AT LARGE, INCLUDING ANY PERSON THAT OWNS THIS MAKE AND MODEL OF VEHICLE. UPON THE LATCH/LOCK FAILURE, THE DOOR(S) ARE ALLOWED TO OPEN FREELY WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION AND THE AUTO AND MANUAL ELECTRIC LOCKS WILL NOT ENGAGE. THIS COULD CAUSE AN EJECTION OF THE VEHICLE'S DRIVER OR OCCUPANTS DURING EVEN A SLIGHT TURN.
