I tried my best to move to the slow lane, but it was extremely difficult as the car would not pick up speed. I finally made it to the slowest lane (no emergency lane avail.) I was anxiously hoping for an exit. It took a while, kept on my hazard lights. When I finally found an exit completely stalled, then after turning it on and off it picked up a bit of speed. Tt felt like it was on neutral. I parked and attempted to call a tow truck. The car kept struggling and it was raining that day. After hours, I was able to get assistance to take it home. I did call Alfa Romeo, which they towed it to their nearest dealership. They ran test but did not find anything wrong with the engine. They did find other things like the coolant leaking. They did fix those things. However, they did keep my vehicle for over 2 months! And I had to request the inspection because they did not send it or placed inside the vehicle like they normally do. The vehicle has only done it one additional time since then but this time it was minor, while trying to leave my house. I turned it off for a few minutes and then everything was fine. I have also notified Alfa Romeo of the infotainment turning off since I had this vehicle. The engine/throttle error (limp mode) is dangerous and scary for the us the driver and the drivers around us. On may 24, 2023 I received an email from Alfa Customer Retention Specialist, offering to buy back the vehicle due to Civil Code 1793.2(d)(2)(B).Read more

It's a HUGE job. Aside from a very high costly matter, it's also a very dangerous matter because it makes the car unsafe to drive. There is a Class Action Suit about this (if not mistaken) and a recall in Canada but not the USA. My car is now just sitting there and inoperable. I don't have thousands to repair my vehicle (quoted $3,000-$3,700). In addition to high insurance premiums, car loan payment and high fuel costs. There are a lot of concerned and angry Ford customers. Ford needs to be responsible for their poor design that leads to the water pump failure. This is a BIG deal!! The pipes were found defective and replaced at a cost of~$600. Given the left side had a recall on the police version 3.0L, why was a recall not made for the passenger models with the same engine? Have noted the issue reported on the NHTSA sight often. Recall 21E11. Ford also issued a CSP TSB 21B35 which referenced the Police and ST models with the 3.0L engine, but the parts are the same for the Platinum version. Also noted the -B part as now been updated to a dash -C. It is clear from the reports on the NHTSA and various Explorer forums the flexible connection is a failure point that could lead to an accident or death. ... to the Volvo repair department, they've known for years of an internal repair "recommendation" memo issued by Volvo that Volvo actually pays for on other models, but won't pay for on mine, to correct this "negative camber" on the rear of the car. ***** The negative camber causes tire walls to fail early and abnormally wear the internal edges of the tires. I've experienced early tire failure on multiple sets of tires on my Volvo C70 and never knew why. Now I know. **Volvo has always known.** I have to replace all of my tires almost every two years due to the inside edges wearing out, despite faithfully rotating my tires several times a year. My tires have worn down to the belt on the inside edges despite having plenty of good tread left in the middle of the tire itself. About two years ago I had a dangerous blowout on the freeway because of a tire that failed early -- now I know it's because of the negative camber. More recently, two of my tires wore down all the way to the belts despite being less than two years old. ***** Volvo knows about this issue. There have been problems with the 2015 GMC Terrains Timing chain. I contacted GMC corporate service to inquire about what they are doing for the other owners who are experiencing the symptoms before the chain breaks. The representative told me they were only recalling certain VINS, I explained that it was not a fluke that my car was experiencing the same issues as the recalled ones. The response was they weren't recalling my VIN. I inquired why there were only some, not all, and she said it depends on what time of day the car was assembled the weather, and the place. Just bizarre this answer, my vehicle is the exact vehicle model that is being recalled and is experiencing the same problem - it makes no sense. So if I am driving on the highway or any road USA and my chain breaks I may kill myself as well as others. Then there is the cost to repair this defective part, by recalling certain VINs they are acknowledging there is a defect that they are responsible for. I want my vehicle repaired at the expense of GMC as they are the cause of the issue. I don't want to die or kill anyone.
