I discovered that my 2020 Toyota Corolla SE has a Coolant Valve Bypass malfunction coded "p2688115". I have also discovered this a prevalent issue after you hit 70,000 miles. There are forums all over the internet with complaints about the same issue as mine. I did some research and found no recalls. With this being such a common issue for no reason, faulty equipment. The car has been inspected by
... a Toyota dealer in Bradenton, FL because we had thought the service vehicle message was for a tire rotation. They scanned the vehicle and discovered the fault code "p2688115" after trying to reset it numerous times. The senior tech was the one who scanned it. He knew the exact reason why it was not clearing before scanning the vehicle. He only scanned it to solidify his hypothesis. I then spoke to the service team, they wanted me to bring it in for a diagnosis that would cost $85.00 if my warranty did not cover it. The cost of the part was estimated at around $150.00 plus labor and taxes. It was over a $400.00 repair. For a repair as such, this needs to be recalled. The warning message never went away, if you tried to clear it to view the screen you had about three seconds before it came back on. It is a major safety risk for those who wear glasses and drive at night. I use the screen to keep myself safe and maintain my driving speed. This warning message came on around 70,000. Some so many other individuals have experienced and complained about the same problem. This needs to be escalated. I am not allowed to utilize the safety features my car has to offer. Please take action and commence an investigation.Read more

noticed a small oil puddle near the front passenger side of the car in the garage before leaving for work on 2/24/24 at approximately 530am. Checked all reservoirs and found nothing outstanding and left for work. At approximately 540am I was driving to work and noticed 2 deer avoided one and hit the second one while still attempting to stop. I slammed my brakes, had no abs kick on, and the pedal w
... ent to the floor and I still narrowly clipped the second deer. I was attempting to brake for at least 20ft before the collision happened with the deer and slowed down from 80 to 65mph. I found it very odd that my brake pedal went to the floor and did not set off the ABS system and that the car took longer than it should have to come to a complete stop. After collision repair was done, thankfully just cosmetic damage, the dealership found both front brake calipers leaking the passenger one leaking significantly more than the drivers side. Due to the oil being found before that trip that day it has been ruled they were leaking before the incident occurred and this could have resulted in my car not being able to stop fully and properly and hitting the deer.Read more

There are many form online stating that Volvo has an issue with water leaking/water drainage line from the sunroof. The water leaked into some components of the airbag and electrical system. After the first time taking to the dealership they were no issue with the system and the vehicle was fine that incident happened back in 2020. The same issue happened again where water was leaking in from the
... sunroof area (I am assuming because it looks the same as last time) this time the water is in the driver side, and there was a puddle of water forming where the gas and brake paddles are. After noticing the water puddle I try to close the sunroof and turns out the sunroof no longer functions with the electronic control right in front of the sunroof. I also took the initiative to open some of the trims where the side air bags are and it turns out that the area are completely soaked. I do no know if this will cause an issue to the airbag or not but I am worries that prolong exposure to water will compromised the integrity of the airbag system. What's was is that since it affected the electronic for the sunroof what if it affect the sensors for the air bag system.Read more

The microphone has stopped working. This makes hands free phone operation impossible. Mileage 43111. The sudden loss of this function lead to confusion and distraction while operating the vehicle. My wrench light came on in my 2019 Ford Explorer with 2.3L engine last week. It caused my vehicle to have lack of acceleration during launch and shudder while driving. When my son and I took off from a stop, it was very slow when crossing traffic. Made appointment with Ford dealership to have it looked at the next morning. After car was parked and restarted, wrench light went off. Kept appoin
... tment and told them a mechanic friend said it sounded like the torque converter (which my mother who has a 2019 Ford Edge just had replaced the week before!). Explained this to the dealership, they said it didn't sound like that was it. 4 wheel drive module was corrupt so they updated it and told me I may need a new transmission in the near future. Today, my light came on again while taking my son to school and caused lack of acceleration while pulling onto the highway and I took it to the dealership while it was lit up. Codes P0767 and P2704 showed and they told me it was I needed a new transmission due to my torque converter failing. I checked into it and Customer Satisfaction Program 20N07 does not include my car even though it is doing the exact same thing and was assembled in Chicago in January 2019 (timeframe of the program and location). I just don't understand how my car doesn't fall under that program when it is DOING THE EXACT SAME THING with only 67,200 miles on it. This is a serious safety concern. While driving doesn't matter the speed, my car doesn't accelerate and jerks, it had does these many times and I take it into the shop, at least 3 times now, and they can't find anything. Feb. 1, 2024: A short drive on electric during below zero weather, a car wash & a couple 100ft drive into a parking lot. Pulling into a parking space, foot on the brake pedal, ICE roared on accelerating the car over a curb, down an embankment & into a 3ft snow drift before I could stop it by pressing the brake pedal with both feet. We stopped 6in from a power pole. If forward crash avoidance syste

Feb. 17, 2024, during below zero weather, no electric charge, operating on ICE over about 2mi, Pulled into a parking space, foot on the brake pedal, ICE surged accelerating the car up over a 6" high curb onto sidewalk. Stopped car by depressing the brake pedal with both feet. Car stopped 2in before hitting a brick building. It didn't seem the forward crash avoidance system functioned to stop us. As a 35-year electronic design and repair professional, I have attempted to merge the two situations to try to find similarities. Two things: unexpected ICE engine acceleration surge & forward collision sensor not kicking on brakes. Per Volvo tech, Feb. 1, no register in EEPROM of forward crash avoidance or ICE issues. Second visit Feb. 22 to service will probably yield same. Obviously, this is not normal operation. We have been in two near collisions caused by the car doing things not designed to do.Read more

Recent cold weather starts in the morning (40-50 degrees fahrenheit) have caused my car to have poor or stalled acceleration. It will occasionally not go past 20 or 40 mph while the RPMs rev high. Hyundai says tha

This is a very dangerous issue in my opinion if your cars engine revs high without accelerating and can potentially cause serious accidents and injury. COMPLAINT/INCIDENT.On February 9th 2024, I was making a right hand turn onto main Street. My speed was under 10mph, closer to 5mph. . Without any warning or MIL, my truck suddenly went from easy steering to unable to move the steering column and jerked/locked the wheel by 90 degrees to the left. In other words, the steering wheel went from the 3:00 position and locked into place at the 12:00 posit

The engine sputtered a few times; and that is when the MIL lit up on my dashboard stating “electronic power steering service” and “low battery voltage”. After the lights came on, the steering was brought back to normal along with the acceleration and my brakes. After the MIL displayed, steering resumed enough to pull into a parking spot. All of this occurred within 80ft from the apex of the corner to where the truck finally locked up. Total distance traveled 195 ft from start of turn to parked. The steering column and wheel completely locked up once in parking spot. I weigh about 230 lb and I could literally hang off the wheel without the wheel moving an inch.. At home, the power to the truck did not turn off like it normally would after 30 secs. The manual neutral transmission switch was pulled, which normally does not interfere with shutdown. After disengaging the truck powered off. However, I was unable to restart and only a clicking noise was heard. A battery booster jumpstarted successfully. No MIL on dash on startup. Surprisingly, the steering came back to normal. PART NUMBERS. The EPS numbers on the outside casing are P68242957AD and TIC2794A8134. I was driving along at 35-40 mph and the vehicle suddenly stopped accelerating when I gave it gas. Nearly empty at the time so I thought maybe it was a gas issue. I drove it a couple of days after that and it drove just fine. I filled her up with premium gas, thinking that it would fix the problem. The third time I went to drive it was last Friday, [XXX] It would barely accelerate. it took about
... maybe a quarter to 1/3 of a mile for it to get up to 40 mph, during which time I have my foot smashed on the gas pedal all the way down to the floor. I went to pick up my dogs, pet food, which was 5 miles away. I made it there. I was not sure that I would make it back. I live in Colorado Springs, which is a city full of very much traffic, and I was afraid that my vehicle was going to stop in the middle of the road and I was going to get creamed by an oncoming car. I just purchased this vehicle back in October. I have barely driven it myself, as I don’t go out that often. The main reason for this vehicle is my profoundly disabled child to her doctors appointments and back. Now if we stop in the middle of the road and my daughter is killed by an oncoming car because this car just stops working… what a tragedy that would be. I went online and looked up this issue on Reddit and other forums. I found a post all the way back to 2013 from a gentleman who had the same exact issue. Now I’m not sure why. In 10 years you guys have not insured that Nissan fixes this issue but I find this to be pathetic. A six-year-old car should not be doing this. Now I am paying $380 a month and have a $20,000 loan on a vehicle that I cannot even drive, for fear that I will die in it. Somebody needs to figure this out, and Nissan needs to stop producing garbage vehicles that put peoples lives at risk. You guys need to ensure this gets done, that’s part of your job. 100% certain that I am not the first person that has submitted a complaint about this to you guys. In colder temperatures, the instrument gauge cluster begins flickering like there is a loose connection. Online research indicates there are many honda fit owners who are experiencing the same thing and the problem appears to be related to the solder joints that expand and contract in cold/warm temps, causing connectivity issues.

Oil pump belt tensioner arm is fractured on my 2018 Ford EcoSport and my engine failed as of January 8th 2024. The oil pressure warning light is on as well as the check engine light. I have had this issue inspected and there is a recall for this problem, but parts are not expected to be ready until the 2nd quarter of the year! I am currently unable to drive my vehicle, and anywhere i need to take
... it has to be towed. Ive spoken with several Ford dealerships as well as Ford customer service, and all of them said they would not offer me a loaner vehicle in the meantime! I have asked for them to temporarily fix the issue by for now putting in the original part just to get me by, but I was told it could cost upwards of $3000 and I likely would not be refunded, because technically the recall is just an advanced notice! I am now going to be paying on a vehicle that i cannot drive or get fixed until April-June and I've been declined getting a loaner vehicle because it is simply not part of the recall. My only current option is to continue paying on this car, but to not drive it until it gets fixed 2-5 months from now.Read more
