The interior filled with heat and fumes, I became lightheaded, dizzy, and shaky, and nearly lost consciousness while driving. My dog, who was with me, vomited and panted heavily from the exposure. I had to pull over and exit the vehicle immediately. This incident occurred only after the recall pump was replaced and points to faulty installation or malfunction of the recall component, which disrupted the fuel system and caused improper combustion and exhaust handling. On another occasion, the vehicle stalled in the middle of an intersection, leaving me at serious risk of being hit by cross traffic. The car now shows a high-pressure fuel pump fault. Although the in-tank pump and the high-pressure pump are in different locations, they are part of the same system: the in-tank pump supplies steady fuel volume and pressure directly to the high-pressure pump. If the in-tank pump is defective, mis-installed, or inconsistent, it causes the high-pressure pump to fail. This made my vehicle unsafe to operate, placing me, my passengers, and other drivers at risk. The problem has been confirmed by the dealership, which documented a high-pressure fuel pump fault, and reviewed by Honda Corporate. Components and service records are available for inspection. After a day, they said it was fixed and that it was a blown fuse or two, and it was good to go. Not even 3 weeks to a month later, the "check engine" light came on again. I called and took it back to the dealership. Same story, after less than a day they called me back after fixing something else (don't remember off the top of my head what they said it was, but it was allegedly minor). Now, about 3 days ago, Sept. of 2025, I began seeing the "check engine" light again, so for the 3rd time in less than 3 months I arranged for it to be serviced by the dealership again on 9/30. A day later, another "Propulsion System/maintenance required!!!" light came on as well, so I called to get servicing sooner because obviously the message is scary. I was told to bring it in, they would "work me in" but had no loaners I could use to get to and from work. So, at that point, I got my husband involved and now no one from the dealership is returning either of our calls, AND I'm being told there is no recall on my car, even though a simple google search reveals there is a recall on my same make/model/year SUV. I'm getting the same messages people got about the recall, so no clue why my vehicle isn't considered as part of the recall when I am having the SAME issues as the recalled vehicles are having. Being a woman they tell me I don't know what I'm talking about. I got frustrated and got in my truck and when I came to the first stoplight when the light turned green and I stepped on the gas pedal, my truck would not move, after about 5 seconds it surged forward and then again wouldn't move, then again my truck surged forward with a loud thud in the rear like somebody hit me from behind. It feels like it isn't kicking into gear and also my steering wheel was not centered when they swapped the engine so I have to hold my steering off to one side for my truck to drive straight. This has been a nightmare for me and Toyota refuses to acknowledge there is anything wrong. I've also been waiting for 7 months to get my front brakes fixed under the TSB and all they say is we don't have parts available, meanwhile they're building new trucks with new brake pads, rotors and calipers before taking care of the people waiting months and months? For my concern of the safety my life, I paid to tow my vehicle directly to the car dealership service department to be inspected and am currently waiting to be contacted of their findings. Warning lamps and messages flashed simultaneously when my vehicle ceased to function. While driving my 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio September 16, 2025, the engine ceased to function under legal normal driving conditions for no apparent reason. The engine immediately turned itself off, and both the steering wheel and vehicle was locked in place (unable to move). This event jeopardized me, and other affected drivers' lives. It was only due to the quick reaction of defensive driving attentiveness that prevented the potential collision of multiple vehicles including loss of life/lives. I had taken my vehicle to the same service department previously in November 2024 for the exact same type of issue (ceased vehicle, locked in place steering wheel and vehicle). However, because error messages were erased, the service department would not be able to know what steps were needed to fix the problem and that I should bring back my vehicle with error codes intact should this occur again. I have this in writing on my invoice. No police report involved as no physical accident/damage occurred, and everyone who was involved including myself left without further incident, and very traumatized.Read more

To confirm the problem, I used a Temtop M2000C Advanced Air Quality Monitor and recorded the following CO₂ levels inside the cabin compared to outside air: - Outside vehicle (baseline): 348 ppm - Inside after 1 minute: 436 ppm - Inside after 5 minutes: 1,027 ppm - Inside after 15 minutes: 1,645 ppm According to the monitor’s air quality guide, 1,501–2,500 ppm CO₂ is classified as “Unhealthy.” These readings indicate a measurable intrusion of emissions into the cabin. Mazda Customer Experience has acknowledged the vehicle is outside the SSP A9 warranty window and denied repair assistance, but I believe this issue is no longer cosmetic. The defect now creates a condition that may adversely affect occupant health and safety and should be considered under NHTSA’s authority for potential investigation. The vehicle can be inspected upon request. A Mazda dealer (Group 1 Mazda Denton, Texas) has provided a repair estimate of $1,307.77 for instrument panel replacement. On rare occasions (about once every 500 miles), when uniformly applying force to the brake pedal, the deceleration suddenly ceases and the vehicle seems to jerk forward. ... significantly harder on the brake pedal jerking all occupants forward. The brakes re-engage and continue the deceleration at a much higher rate. Toyota addressed this problem with TSB 4724 which involved reprogramming the brake actuator assembly. This corrected the problem for about 3 months, but it is now occurring again. When the car was taken to the Toyota dealer again, the technician stated that TSB 4724 was cancelled, he could not duplicate the action (even though he was told it only happened on rare occasions), and claimed that the "brakes function properly as they should." Fortunately these loss of braking incidents have only occurred on dry pavement so that the driver did not lose control of the car when slamming on the brakes to compensate for the loss of deceleration. Coming down a hill on a snow covered road could have caused the vehicle to slide into an oncoming lane. It is my speculation that there is a null spot that exists during certain circumstances which causes there to be a "gap" between when this hybrid vehicle transitions between the dynamic hybrid brake and the friction wheel brake. Both braking systems independently work fine, but the transition between them (on rare occasions) does not occur continuously. This causes the driver to experience an unexpected loss of braking which, under the right conditions, could cause the driver to loose control of the forward motion of the car. As an engineer, I feel it is unacceptable for a safety system (braking) to not properly operate 100% of the time! On a Toyota owner's site, others have seen the same.Read more

The person who hit the car had insurance and I took it to a local collison company for the repairs In November 2024. (Insured would not return calls to insurance company so it took this long for repairs) I began taking it to Volvo OC in December because the sensors were constantly lighting
... up and beeping constantly with no one around me. I took it to Volvo many times from December to August 2025. They would have my car for a week or two and think they fixed it and it was not fixed. After Volvo sent me a note saying that Corporate was not going to pay to do anything and they were done with trying to fix the car I took it back to my collison company. When Volvo last had it they told me that the wiring harness was not the correct part number and that the collision company installed the wrong one. I called them back and they explained that they had to call Volvo Mission Viejo and gave them the VIN number and they installed what was sent. I took it back to the collision company and they called and ordered another harness and they received the exact same harness. They installed that one and the sensors still do not work correctly. They then called Volvo Mission Viego again and they were told there was a cable that was needed if a car was in an accident and 2 sensors needed to be attached to the cable and the other sensors to the harness. So they did that. And still the same issue. At that time Volvo told me that the sensors in my car were not the correct sensors and that they were not the sensors that came with the car. The collision company said they removed the sensors from the harness but attached the exact same sensors during the repair. So both Volvo and the collision company have left me hanging and this is a safety issue. The transmission failed in October 2023 on my way home from work. Brought it to a transmission place and had another one put in. Cost $6k - The truck is now at another mechanic as it broke down again while driving home from work - transmission and engine this time. Mechanic says needs new transmission and timing chain kit - Cost $10k This is a truck that has 100k miles on it and only 6 years old.

car flashes transmission low fluid and gives a code of p193b-79. when trans downshifts upshifts will not happened. to clear the problem you have to turn car off and on , and then normal operation resumes, but shifting is now slower. and sluggish. this is the second transmission to have this problem. Seem hyundai has not fixed it from the 2022 recall.

Check engine light came on intermittantly and would turn off. When it stayed on I took it into the dealer who diagnosed leak of coolant into number 3 cylinder, requiring a new engine. This happened at just above 65,000 miles. Car is starting and driving rough, some erratic acceleration and is worse every day.
