The forward collision warning light just came on and has been on for five days. Nothing happened, no wreck, no bumping into anything. Since purchasing this vehicle new, I've had several occasions (not on just the most recent date noted in this case) where the car will issue a false Pre-collision Alert and apply the brakes for about 1 second while using the Adaptive Cruise Control. However, this happens while me and the drivers around me are driving "normally" and there are no vehicles in front of me nor attempting to merge into
... my lane. There does not seem to be a particular set of conditions that cause this false alert and they happen randomly, but it is startling when they happen since there is no observable reason for it. Fortunately, there has not been anyone tail-gating me when this happens because this could easily cause a rear-end collision if someone were following too close. I've notified my local dealer about this issue more than once, but they cannot find anything wrong.Read more

I purchased my 2019 Chevy Colorado Z71 new in Feb 2019 from a dealership. About two years ago I began having shifting issues from 1st to 2nd gear, it would shudder and seem almost stuck, this would only occur infrequently. Right after I hit 100,000 miles (about a year ago) I have had nothing but issues with the 8 speed transmission, my vehicle is unable to shift from 1st to 2nd without having the
... shudder occur, it feels like the whole truck is shaking and loses power at acceleration. I took it in for their recommended "service bulletin" which was something that I had to locate myself because GM has not once communicated about there being any kind of shudder issue and they performed a simple flush of the transmission, not the service bulletin recommendation of three flushes and a different fluid. My truck is now in the shop because I am unable to drive it due to this ongoing issue that GM fails to recognize and so far have spent $1,000 attempting to rectify this issue and being told that in order for them to actually perform the service bulletin, it will be another $225 to diagnose the problem, around $500-$700 to perform the service bulletin, and then if that "does not fix the problem", I will have to spend another $900 on a torque converter because that "could" be the issue, the dealership "doesn't know". Then the third fix would be to replace the transmission ($5500-$8500) This has been a known issue since manufacturing and GM is failing to provide adequate assistance to fix a known problem with their 8 speed transmissions. I no longer feel safe to operate my chevy colorado in fear that it could cause serious injury to myself and others due to GM not being able to provide a safe fix to their ongoing issue.Read more

The vehicle was not functioning properly and was running badly on Friday 10/25/2024. The SUV was dropped off at Reeves Honda on 10/26/2024. Additionally, a failing AC compressor was noted and spark plug

The car was test, drove and appeared to be running fine. However, the engine continues to have a mild knocking sound. They did not appear to be any issue with the Transmission/gear-shifting and appeared to be smooth. After close inspection of starter alternator, battery, and virtually all fuses and relays without indication of problem. Code reader was applied to the ODB port and no codes were seen. An attempt to rotate engine was unsuccessful, indicating a seized or locked engine. On 11/13/2024 call to dealership for advice. The dealership denies any engine issues or any complaints of engine issues however, in their paperwork it specifically states that customer indicated a check engine light during the event on 10/25/2024 and that the engine was not idling and had a knocking sound. In March 13, 2024, when unlocking the doors from the driver's side control panel there was an audible buzzing sound from the passenger side sliding door. The door was still able to unlock and lock. After doing some research online I found that there was a problem with the locking door actuator that would cause a buzzing sound when engaged. This continued to happen anytime that sliding door was eit

The door didn't make the buzzing sound, but it also would not unlock. The door was seized shut. I use this vehicle to transport my three children to and from school. Their drop offs are on the right hand side. With the passenger sliding door being seized shut, because of the faulty actuator, my children have to get out on the driver's side door and into incoming traffic! This is a great risk to my children. I called to get it repaired from the dealer I purchased it from with the actuator recall that was issued only to be told thaty vehicle wasn't covered in that recall, yet I still have a door that is seized shut from the recalled actuator part.Read more

This was such a strange occurance. After pulling off from a stop sign attempting a right turn, my vehicle stalled, readjusted, then stalled again. I was driving on a cobblestone road while it was raining, but did not find any issues with vision or traction. However, during this process, my passenger airbag deployed out of nowhere causing me to immediately stop the car to see if I had hit something
... . There was nothing under or beside my car indicating any significant impact that would have caused this to happen. There were no other cars, or any pedestrians involved, nor any debris or blockade in the road so I did not file a police report or contact my insurace. My sister was in the passenger seat, and my 3 children in the back. No one sustained any injuries, but the entire incident was extremely startling, shocking, and confusing. There is no damage on my car that suggests I hit something, but I have no idea what could have caused an airbag to deploy, and why only that one? Being that I was pulling off on a turn, I was not going fast enough for me to think that the cobblestone could have set off a "pothole like" effect to the sensors. After research revealed there have been recalls on previous models concerning the Takata airbags, I reached out to a local Honda dealer for help. The associate immediately disregarded my account of the incident stating that "there hasn't been any recalls on the 2018 Honda Civic" and that I should "take it to a body shop and see if the insurance will take care of it". I assumed he had no intention of helping me AT ALL because I had reached the service department with a Honda service issue, so why would he not at least offer to have me bring it in to be fix there, even if I had to pay out of pocket? This lead me to do further research in which I found that there is in fact a current recall on the fuel pump, which is known to cause issues with stalling. I feel misled by Honda, and would like an explanation, as well as accountability.Read more

Model Y s/w version 12.5.4.1 The model Y can be made to oscillate in the travel lane at highway speeds I think I experienced this at 70-75, it would seem to apply at any capable speed. Proper behavior: 1) driving on the highway in FSD 2) trigger the left or right turn signal to initiate a lane change by automation. What actually occurs: 1) driving on the highway in FSD 2) hold the turn signal
... in the desired up or down position to initiate a lane change. 3) the Tesla begins to switch lanes, and will continue to further its lane change provided you continue to hold the turn signal (up/down). 4) If you release the turn signal input "early", that is prior to the Tesla determining that the new lane is the current lane, it will immediately begin reverting to the original lane that you attempted to leave. 5) It begins to over correct, requiring maybe 5 damped oscillations. Its very uncomfortable, and exposes a vehicle on the edge of control - the vehicle is not traveling neutrally on its suspension. To be clear, it is damped, but I don't see how it could be described as stable at highway speeds.Read more

Transmission whining around 38mph when accelerator is pressed. Goes away when foot is off pedal. No warning lights are on. I test drove 3 other 2020 - 2021 Highlanders in May before I purchased this one. All 3 of those had a very noticable transmission whine over 20mph. I opted for this Highlander because there were no noticeable issues/sounds. Just this month, I am noticing a more pronounced hig

This certainly sounds like a much wider issue, especially calling around to multiple dealerships confirming they have other 2020-2021 Highlanders in getting transmission replacements (on 3+ months wait times for parts) This is absolutely a safety issue if a transmission fails while driving. There was a technical bulletin for this same issue with certain VINs, but I was told that my VIN fell outside of that range. To answer rest of questions: No confirmation from dealer on the whine, they are all charging $180 to diagnose the issue and I am not paying that.
