I purchased my 2025 Ioniq 5 Limited less than a week ago and have found that adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist systems are essentially non-functional because of repeated false warnings from the Driver Attention System. Purported to monitor the driver's attention by watching the eyes, this system clearly doesn't work well enough to serve it's purpose and, in fact, causes unnecessary d
... istractions and unsafe conditions with repeated and frequent false positive warnings. The first warnings caution the driver to keep his/her eyes on the road (my eyes are on the road) and escalate to point where ACC and lane keeping assist are turned off. Since the drive attention warnings cannot be turned off when in ACC with lane keeping assist are active, the only recourse is to turn off lane keeping assist, making this system essentially non-functional and useless. Note: Hyundai is aware of this and has issued at least one TSB advising that some eyewear may prevent the system from functioning properly and that this is considered "normal" leaving the driver to find suitable eyewear. I do not usually drive with sun glasses and having the car manufacturer suggest that their system may be impacted by my prescription glasses (which I do wear while driving) and the fix to this potentially dangerous situation is to replace my glasses is ludicrous. I have also done limited testing without my glasses and find that it has no impact on the false warnings. Per Hyundai's TSB I have made sure that my driver's position is such that the monitor's camera has an unobstructed view of my eyes and is not blocked at any time by my hands or arms while I'm holding the wheel.Read more

My truck is under the national recall from GMC for the 6.2L engine problems. I even received the recall notice from GMC stating this. This truck has been in and out of the shop for engine problems things I took delivery of it in 2022. The latest was in April of 2025 and while it was in the repair service at the dealership, the national recall came out. During that time the dealership tried to tell
... me the problem was with my exhaust system so I was not covered under the recall. I knew they were not being truthful so I refused to take possession of the truck as I new it had all the symptoms that GMC was describing in my recall notice. My truck sat at the dealership for almost 5 months and last week they force me to take possession of my truck my taking back my "loaner vehicle". They stated "my truck passed the required inspection", which I knew they were being dishonest, but was forced to take the truck back anyway. Three days after taking possession I was on the interstate doing 60 mph and the engine totally seized up and almost caused an accident from the vehicles behind me running into me because of the sudden decrease in speed. I was able to safely pull over and had to get towed back to the dealership. This incident is beyond just a engine recall now because they new my truck was not safe to drive and forced me to take back my truck. Im just thankful I was driving and not my wife, or having my two grandchildren in the truck with me. To make mtters worse in this scenerio, this truck is actually my replacement truck because my 2021 truck had to be taken back per the Lemon Law in 2022, so this will now be truck #2 being Lemon Law and my original truck loan isnt even paid off. My 2019 Traverse has approximately 27k miles. I have taken the car in to a Chevy dealership for repair. The car is shuddering at around 20 mph. The dealer told me this is a common issue and after review of hundreds of complaints it appears it is. It is out of warranty by a year. Apparently the issue is likely the torque converter. However GM, requires I do a transmission flush and reprogram fo
... llowed by driving 500 miles. If it does not work then I have to replace the torque converter. The transmission flush is $980 dollars and a torque converter is quoted at $3,400. If this is a known issue and no fault of the driver it should be covered by GM. Why would I pay 1,000 dollars to then pay another 3,400 for a total of $4,400 dollars for a repair for a car with 27k miles. I feel like this should be a recall based on the number of complaints and cost to buyer. This seems ridiculous. I have agreed that the initial 980 dollars as I have no choice. I am requesting someone look into the GM transmission issues from the 2017 to 2020 year vehicles.Read more

The piston rings failed on the 5 cylinder engine. The car is not available for inspection as I got rid of it since it cost 16k to repair. My saftey and many others were put at risk as it would cause the engine to heat up excessively and possibly cause a friction weld of the pistons to the crank. This could imobilize the car during driving and cause a crash. I had the car inspected by a automotive

The warrenty company that I went through said they wouldn't cover piston rings. I own a 2016 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel (VIN: [XXX] ). This vehicle is covered under the EcoDiesel Approved Emissions Modification (AEM) Settlement extended warranty. Since the update in January 2025, the truck has suffered repeated EGR system failures and related warranty failures. The EcoDiesel lawsuit itself was based on EGR cooler defects that could leak coolant and cause fires. My truck has experienc
... ed the same failure pattern, with coolant leaks, overheating, and unsafe breakdowns. On [XXX], the vehicle shut off in the middle of the road while I was driving, creating a serious hazard. The cause was traced to a covered emissions component. This was not an isolated incident. The vehicle has been in dealerships for over 60 cumulative days since January 2025, mostly for repeated EGR codes and fuel system issues, but the root problem has never been properly repaired. On [XXX], the low-pressure fuel pump failed after it had already been replaced. The premature failure left me stranded and required a $500 tow. This failure also presented a risk of sudden power loss in traffic. Despite repeated visits to authorized dealers, repairs are incomplete or improperly billed, including installation of non-OEM parts that failed again. The repeated stalling, coolant leaks, overheating, and sudden no-start conditions show that this truck remains unsafe to operate on public roads. I am reporting this as a safety defect because the emissions system failures and improper repairs have caused the vehicle to shut off while driving and continue to present a risk of fire, engine damage, and sudden loss of power. In August of 2024, I started up my 2019 Honda Odyssey one morning and all the vehicle safety alerts/warnings on the dashboard came on (adaptive cruise control problem, lane keeping assist problem, collision mitigation system problem, road departure mitigation system problem, auto high-beam problem, ABS). I took the vehicle into my local Honda dealership and they ran a diagnostic which determined t
... hat the forward looking camera was faulty and needs to be replaced. There were previously no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure of the camera. The dealer's quote to replace the camera was $1,528.99 at the time. Having since researched this issue further on Honda owner forums, this seems to be a common problem with this generation of Honda vehicles. As evidenced by the corresponding warning messages, the failure of the front camera causes an array of vehicle safety issues impacting the driver and passengers, other vehicles and pedestrians. This defect, which is an extremely cost-prohibitive repair for the consumer, should be addressed and corrected by the manufacturer as soon as possible. The vehicle is available for further inspection upon request. They basically told us they did not believe my wife's account of the incident. I recently saw that this make and model of car was recalled about a year ago because the car could stall in the rain due to unsealed battery compartments, which is exactly what my wife experienced. I do not believe anyone looked inside the car at all, but merely relied on their computer analyses without interviewing my wife or any witnesses to confirm what happened.Read more

2023 Jeep Wagoneer Series III 4x4 ~34,582 miles. Service dates: Aug 18–20, 2025. Work included a 4-wheel rotation on Aug 19. Vehicle is equipped with aftermarket Fuel Off Road D679 REBEL wheels that use spacers, sold with the pre-owned vehicle by a licensed dealer. What failed: After the rotation, the front-right wheel fasteners lost clamp load on drive from dealership. On inspection, four of
... six lug nuts were very loose/near removal and the wheel could be moved laterally by hand. Suspected contributors: (1) misalignment of polyurethane spacer during re-installation, leading technician to believe wheel fasteners were “torqued-to-spec,” and (2) interaction between spacer/wheel seating surfaces and the hub during movement. All components are available for inspection upon request. Video of the condition and photographs of the spacer are available; the dealer reports relevant in-shop CCTV exists. Safety risk: Loss of clamp load during vehicle operation created sufficient lateral wheel movement to be felt as wobble/thumping of steering wheel, with risk of wheel separation/loss of control. Reproduction/confirmation: The dealer confirmed the issue, and reported findings to customer. According to the Service Manager, the post-incident follow-up inspection (Aug 20) found the front-right spacer had shifted off-center during the tire rotation service, allowing the wheel to reach false-secure position and the fasteners to reach a proper torque without properly seating. This led to clamp-load loss as the spacer re-seated in subsequent vehicle operation, particularly as speeds increased. Inspections performed: The dealer inspected the vehicle on Aug 20 after towing back to the Jeep dealership. Customer has notified manufacturer of this incident and is awaiting response. Warnings/symptoms: No vehicle warnings.
