There is a hesitation when trying to accelerate. The car will then slam forward and there is a rattling noise that the car also makes. This has almost caused accidents. I was driving in town which is where I do most of my driving.
Incident date: Sep 28, 2025
while driving a 2022 VW Taos started experiencing a strong wobble in the front driver side tire. It started on a 2.5 hour drive back from dropping my son off at college. While accelerating from 0-40 MPH the wobble would be very strong. After reaching 45 MPH it leveled off. It would wobble more turning or moving to the left than the right side. It was frightening to drive my hour long commute
... and worry if my tire was going to fall of or, worse yet, would I crash. I could not get in to the VW dealership for a few days prior to this starting. I did not have any lights or warning signs prior to this. When I first spoke about the problem to a few places they were suggested the lug nuts were loose, or perhaps a tire bearing went bad. I took it to my VW dealer and they said the issue was the steering rack and I was originally quoted $7,500 to fix it. Steve at my dealership was great and moved mountains to get the price lowered and my car repaired. However I find it hard to believe that 4 year old car with 80,000 miles on it should have this kind of major repair. I had to rent a car for a few days and then VW was able to provide me with loaner. I have had issues with my 2022 VW since I purchased it during Covid and just wonder if that is that is part of the issue. Cheaper parts being used - perhaps not tested or as reliable. I just wanted to report this and see if any other 2022 VW TAOS's were experiencing the same issue and if a TSB should be issued or a recall. I had one thing fixed in the past and then a recall was issued but I was denied reimbursement since I did not use VW parts to fix the problem. I am trying to avoid that from happening again. I have owned VW's for over 20 years and I appreciate their dependability, gas mileage and longevity as I drive a lot. thank you.Read more

The windshield wiper switch assembly (column stalk/switch) malfunctions intermittently, sending unintended signals that activate the wipers despite the stalk being firmly in the OFF position. The component is still installed in the vehicle and is available for inspection upon request. Suspected part numbers include 84652-06400 or similar variants. How was your safety or the safety of others put a
... t risk? Sudden, unexpected wiper activation (typically 1-2 wipes, occasionally more) while driving creates a serious distraction and safety hazard. It can startle the driver, cause momentary loss of vehicle control or focus (especially at highway speeds or in traffic), and briefly obstruct vision. This risk is heightened during rain, when wipers are needed but behave erratically, or during acceleration/turns where vibration triggers it—potentially leading to accidents. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No, the Toyota dealership has not reproduced or confirmed it during short test drives, as the issue is highly intermittent and occurs mainly after warmup from extended driving (20+ minutes), on hot days or after parking off for ~1 hour in heat/vibration. Similar cases reported by other 2020 Corolla owners on Reddit (r/COROLLA) and Toyota Nation forums were eventually diagnosed and fixed by replacing the wiper switch due to worn internal contacts/PCB from heat/vibration. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The vehicle was brought to a Toyota dealership, but no detailed inspection or repair occurred due to lack of replication. No inspections by police, insurance, Toyota corporate (manufacturer), or others have taken place. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning lamps, messages, dashboard indicators, or prior symptomsRead more

In May 2022, the air conditioning condenser on my 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid was replaced due to AC failure. In April 2023, shortly after purchasing the vehicle following a lease buyout, I returned with the same AC issue and was told the condenser may have been defective and it was replaced again. I then took the vehicle to another authorized Honda dealership, where I was told the condenser may not
... have been replaced previously, and it was replaced again. Dye was added to the AC system at South Motors Honda to identify a leak. Despite this, Largo Honda later charged me again to add dye, stating they could not access the prior dealership’s diagnostic records, even though both are Honda-authorized dealerships. After continued AC failure, two authorized Honda dealerships have now diagnosed the issue as a leaking air conditioning evaporator and documented the failure with video evidence. Loss of air conditioning impacts driver safety by impairing windshield defogging and creating unsafe cabin temperatures, particularly in hot weather. This represents a premature failure of a non-wear component. This issue has persisted since 2022. The manufacturer declined repair assistance despite repeated repairs and dealer-confirmed diagnostics.Read more

Incident Date: [XXX] Vehicle: 2023 Kia Sportage Component(s): Power Train (Automatic Transmission Shifter), Electrical System (Instrument Cluster/Display), Back Over Prevention (Rearview Camera) Description of Incident: On [XXX], while performing a low-speed maneuver in Pittsburgh, PA, the vehicle experienced a catastrophic Shift-by-Wire (SBW) logic failure resulting in a collision. After shiftin
... g the rotary gear selector from Reverse to Drive, the transmission failed to engage the selected gear and remained in Reverse without any auditory or haptic warning to the driver. Simultaneously, the Rear View Monitor (RVM) experienced a "system hang," continuing to display the rear camera feed and blocking the instrument cluster’s gear-position indicator. Due to this dual failure—unintended gear retention and display latency—the vehicle traveled in an unintended direction (Reverse) while I attempted to accelerate forward, leading to a property damage accident. Post-Incident Documentation: The vehicle was presented to Performance Kia (Moosic, PA) on 12/19/25. Technician #957 confirmed the software logic was corrupted and performed a "Clear and Relearn of Adaptive Values" to reset the Transmission Control Module (TCM). This diagnostic confirms that the vehicle was operating with failed control logic. Safety Risk: The failure of the Shift-by-Wire system to accurately execute gear changes, combined with the instrument cluster's failure to provide real-time gear position as required by FMVSS No. 102, creates an unreasonable risk of collision and injury. I was never notified of Recall SC270 or SC275, which address similar software and hydraulic failures in this model year. (Current approx mileage of occurance 104,xxx -105,xxx)The transmission on my 2019 Ford F150 abruptly started to run really bad. The transmission started slamming gears, hard shifting, delayed shifting, delayed acceleration. The shifting was slamming to hard, that it felt like another vehicle hit me in the rear. I called a local Ford dealership on 1/7/2026 to make an appointment to get the software
... updated (TSB 21-2145), the earliest appointment I was able to get was 1/13/2026. I drove the truck again on Sunday (1/11/2026) for church, and upon returning home, the wrench icon appeared on my dash board. I did not drive the truck again until 1/13/26 for the appointment. I took the truck in on my appointment and shared my concerns with the technician about it being a bigger problem than a software update, and he assured me he would complete proper inspection and diagnostics. After the tech completed the software update (& reset shift tables) the truck drove worse. He informed me, he believes the truck will need a replaced transmission. On my way home the truck drove worse, Slamming gears harder, and hesitating worse, worse delayed acceleration. The truck is not safe to drive. I took it to another reputable transmission shop in town 1/15 for a 2nd opinion, and he concluded the same. Transmission needs to be replaced. The frustrating thing in all of this, is I had an extended warranty on the truck through 100k miles. I took the truck in to the local Ford Dealer for a full inspection at 99,xxx miles to verify all was good, and if it wasn't then I would like to use my warranty for repairs. I was given a bill of good health. And approx 5000 miles later, I now need a full transmission replacement? I am getting no-where with Ford. I even tried my insurance company, and am getting no help there either. I still owe a balance on my truck, and now I've got to figure out a $8k-11k repair.Read more

I am filing this complaint to document the ongoing safety risk and the financial and logistical burden this situation has created. I request that this recall and its handling be reviewed, and that appropriate action be taken to protect consumers. Thank you. My father gave me his 2013 Cadillac SRX and I have noticed the headlights have dimmed significantly over the past few months. I replaced the lamps, but the same issue still exists. I spoke with my local Cadillac dealership and they told me of the known issue with the headlights. I did some research and see there was a class action lawsuit against Cadillac, but it does not seem to apply to vehicl

Engine safety concern. Grinding and clunking while engine is running and gets worse under load or when accelerating. Have taken into dealer for service over 6 times. Recall service was performed and their fix was to change to a thicker oil but all that caused was worse fuel economy, more expensive oil changes, and the noises have become worse. Going back to dealer next week for another attempt. Ha

I was merging onto the interstate from another interstate when my car suddenly became limp and would not accelerate. I had zero warning there was anything wrong with my car, only 67,150 miles. I had to coast to the side of the road and it wasn't driveable. I was forced to have it towed to Acura to find out it's a rocker arm oil pressure switch that apparently goes out after 60,000-100,000 mile
... s. Without warning, this is a huge safety issue. There should be a backup switch and notification to get it to a dealer. I had 3 kids in the car, traveling 65 when it suddenly decided to stop accelerating. ZERO warning. It was terrifying. I could have been hit by another car on the interstate, with 3 kids in the car, zero warning to cars behind me that my speed went from 65 to almost nothing instantly. I've always owned Honda cars and this is the first vehicle I've ever had this happen in. Dealership confirmed it was a faulty switch, nothing to do with low oil, dirty oil and I have that in writing. Acrua/Honda should figure out how to alert users that there is an issue before there is an issue. Or put this on the maintenance schedule because I'm terrified to drive this car now. Or how will I know if it's ready to do it again. Again, some type of backup switch that works for a bit until you can get it to dealer. I had to be towed to dealer. Kids had to be picked up. All things that could have been avoided if Honda did a better job.Read more
