At approximately 120,000 miles, the vehicle began exhibiting a pronounced shudder or vibration between 40–50 mph under light acceleration or steady cruising. The condition progressed to delayed shifting and intermittent loss of acceleration response. The most concerning issue is hesitation and reduced acceleration when attempting to merge into traffic or increase speed. On multiple occasions, t
... he vehicle failed to respond promptly to throttle input, creating a potential safety hazard due to loss of propulsion. The vehicle was evaluated at two authorized Toyota dealerships. Both indicated that the condition is consistent with torque converter or transmission failure. Full transmission replacement was recommended at an estimated cost of approximately $9,000. No whining or grinding noises are present; symptoms primarily involve shuddering and hesitation. The vehicle has not been driven since October 21, 2025, due to safety concerns and to prevent further damage. The vehicle has been regularly maintained at Toyota dealerships and has not been used for towing. This complaint concerns loss of acceleration, transmission shudder, and potential premature failure of the 8-speed automatic transmission.Read more

The component that appears to have malfunctioned is the front axle integral carrier (front subframe) and the related front suspension geometry, as the vehicle now exhibits a persistent pull to the left and degraded steering stability after the dealer replaced the front lower control arms, engine mounts, and performed alignments; this area of the vehicle is fully available for inspection upon reque
... st. My safety and the safety of others were put at risk because the vehicle requires constant steering correction to avoid drifting left, creating a danger of unintended lane departure and loss of control, which aligns with the steering‑related risks described in NHTSA Recall 21V990 / MBUSA 2022070009, where failure of the integral carrier can impair steering and increase crash risk. The problem has been reproduced by me on every drive, though the dealer stated they “did not find anything,” despite alignment printouts showing front camber imbalance and lack of caster correction. The vehicle has been inspected twice by the authorized Mercedes‑Benz dealer, but they did not inspect or address the front axle integral carrier even though the recall documentation shows that corrosion or structural issues in this part can affect steering performance and connection to other components. There were no warning lamps or dashboard alerts; the symptoms began immediately after the dealer’s suspension and mount repairs, and the steering pull and unstable handling have continued ever since.Read more

Vehicle experienced immediate loss of motive power while in motion at 45 mph after "Stop Safely Now" alert. This is a repeat power failure. The vehicle was in service for 75+ days (Dec-Feb) for this exact defect. The Ford service center said they replaced the “battery controller” yet the issue recurred. The car previously flagged this alert while in motion 2 times prior (one on the highway go

As a Ford Reacquired Vehicle (Buyback), the failure to resolve this catastrophic electrical fault creates an extreme risk of crash and entrapment in traffic, putting myself, my family and the drivers in vicinity at significant safety risk. The car is currently at a different Ford Service Center. They have been able to reproduce the issue and are currently running diagnostics to identify a resolution.Read more

The vehicle has twice displayed a “Service High Voltage System” warning followed by “Reduced Acceleration – Drive With Care.” When this occurs, the vehicle enters a reduced-power (turtle) mode that severely limits acceleration. Cabin heat also stopped working, and the vehicle would not charge beyond approximately 25%, restricting driving range. OnStar diagnostics reported a critical erro
... r. The vehicle and diagnostic history are available for inspection upon request. The first incident occurred while driving around town. Although I was close to home, the reduced acceleration created concern because the vehicle could not respond normally to traffic. The second incident was significantly more dangerous and occurred in heavy traffic and on the freeway about 40 miles from home during heavy rain. The limited acceleration made merging and maintaining a safe traffic speed difficult, placing myself and others at risk. I have only been able to get the dealer to take the vehicle in one time, specifically for this issue, and that was because the warning lights were still on at arrival. Staff observed the warnings at check-in, but by the time the vehicle reached the service area, the lights had cleared. The dealer stated they could not perform repairs without active warnings, though stored codes reportedly indicated a low-voltage condition. Additionally, a clicking noise from the wheel area began about 1,500 miles ago and occurs consistently when turning, similar to a CV axle concern. During a separate visit, the dealer put in writing that they could not do anything about the noise and did not diagnose or inspect it, which left me uneasy about potential drivetrain safety. The intermittent high-voltage fault, reduced acceleration, charging limitation, loss of heat, and unresolved drivetrain noise create ongoing safety concerns due to the unpredictable nature of the failures.Read more

I am reporting a serious highway safety defect involving an enclosed cargo trailer used in normal commercial highway operation. The trailer was purchased on 7/27/2022. On 2/16/2023, while traveling approximately 65 mph on the New York State Thruway, the wheel and hub assembly detached from the axle during highway travel. The trailer lost a wheel at highway speed, creating an immediate risk of los
... s of control, crash, and roadway hazard to surrounding motorists. The axle required full replacement. The trailer was not returned to service until 8/4/2023. In addition to the axle failure, the trailer experienced repeated structural weld failures. Rear ramp door welds required repair on 1/7/2023 and again on 9/24/2023. On 7/16/2024, the trailer experienced catastrophic structural failure, including separation of the side wall from the floor and failure of structural welds. The trailer became unsafe for continued highway use. The manufacturer supplied a replacement trailer, which was ready on 1/31/2025 and picked up on 3/23/2025. The replacement trailer also developed early structural failures within months of normal use, including: Man door hinge failure (May 2025) Ramp door upper and lower weld failures (January 2026) Ramp spring assist weld failures (January 2026) Side wall upper and lower structural separation (February 2026) The repeated occurrence of similar structural failures across two separate trailers suggests a potential manufacturing or design defect rather than isolated damage or misuse. These failures compromise the structural integrity of the trailer body and cargo containment during highway travel and present a significant safety risk to the public, including risk of cargo release, structural collapse, or crash hazard. I am submitting this complaint so that this recurring structural and axle defect can be reviewed for investigation to prevent similar dangerous failures involving trailers of this type. #supplied-1st unit [XXX] -2nd unit INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATIORead more

On Sunday, February 15th at approximately 9:00 AM EST, I took my vehicle to Wash Co Car Wash (1020 Dolsontown Road, Middletown, NY 10940). This was the first and only time I have taken this vehicle through a car wash since beginning my lease in July 2025. It is important to note that this specific car wash is one for which my local Acura dealership provides service coupons during routine maintena
... nce visits. As a loyal Acura customer, this reasonably implied that the facility is appropriate and safe for Acura vehicles. While inside the automatic wash tunnel, the roof-mounted shark-fin antenna assembly detached completely. There were no prior issues, no visible damage, and no warning signs before entering the wash. The following day, February 16th, I brought the vehicle to my local Acura dealership for inspection. After diagnostics, I was presented with an estimated $1,700 repair cost. This incident is particularly concerning because it is not the first issue I have experienced with this vehicle. Since beginning my lease in July, I have brought this ZDX to the dealership for service on three separate occasions to address different concerns. For a vehicle that is less than a year into its lease term, this pattern of service visits raises legitimate concerns about quality, durability, and reliability. Given the severity of the cost and the nature of the failure, I contacted Acura Client Relations in an effort to resolve the matter directly and professionally. After more than 48 hours, I was assigned a case manager named Lisette, who declined to provide her last name when asked. During our conversation, I found her demeanor dismissive and unwilling to meaningfully investigate the concern. The resolution I was given was that there is “no defect” and that the failure was effectively my fault.Read more

The failed component was a broken drive shaft for the driver-side front wheel. The drive shaft failed while stopped in Denver traffic. The vehicle was inspected by Fisher Honda, of Boulder, Colorado. ... ly, even thought this vehicle was purchased and driven in Nebraska the first six years, and Nebraska is a heavy user of rock salt on its state highways, the state of Nebraska was excluded from the region. The recall (#20V-769) states that "There have been no reports of occurrences (of the broken drive shaft) outside of the salt-belt region." If it was not a false statement when published, it is a false statement now, as my car is outside of the 21 states referenced as the "salt belt region", and a Honda accord forum search shows that many other people outside of the region have experienced the same failure.Read more

I am filing a complaint regarding a premature failure of a critical safety-related lighting component on my 2022 Volkswagen Atlas. The driver-side headlight daytime running light (DRL) has failed. After inspection by an authorized Volkswagen dealership (Momentum Volkswagen), I was informed that the DRL is not a serviceable component and that the entire headlight assembly must be replaced. This i
... s concerning for several reasons: 1.The vehicle is a 2022 model year and has been properly maintained with no accidents or external damage. 2.The DRL is an integrated LED component that should reasonably last the life of the vehicle. 3.The failure of a non-replaceable LED strip forces replacement of the entire headlight assembly, resulting in excessive and unreasonable repair costs. I contacted Volkswagen Group of America requesting goodwill assistance, as this appears to be a premature component failure rather than normal wear and tear. Despite escalation and review with a supervisor, my request was denied. The only assistance offered was a 20% dealership discount, which does not adequately address the issue. I believe this situation reflects: •A potential design defect (non-serviceable LED component) •Unreasonable repair costs due to lack of modular repair options •Failure of a component that should not fail under normal conditions in such a short time frame Desired Resolution: I am requesting that Volkswagen provide goodwill assistance to cover a significant portion (preferably full coverage) of the headlight assembly replacement. Additionally, I encourage Volkswagen to review this design approach, as it places an unfair financial burden on customers for failures of non-serviceable components. I am seeking a fair and reasonable resolution consistent with customer satisfaction and product reliability expectations.Read more

This complaint is about other cars affecting me while I’m driving at night. Around 50% of oncoming traffic is using dangerously bright headlights. It is so bright that it’s physically painful to my eyes and leaves a blind spot in my field of vision that lasts for several minutes after each encounter. The head lights are so bright that when highbeams are switched off manually, there is barely a
... difference. They are so bright when they are NOT on high beams that the turn signals are very difficult or literally impossible to see. Some amount of vehicles are using automatic highbeams that do not adapt properly. They are sometimes on full high beam brightness during daylight hours (and are just as painful to look at in daylight). They do not register my vehicle’s headlights or approaching traffic so instead of automatically dimming, I am being blinded by full high beams. Sometimes flashing my highbeams will trigger them to dim, but their vehicle has to be pretty close to mine for it to work. Their automatic highbeams do not dim when they are behind my car, causing my rear view and side mirrors to be completely unusable. Flipping the rear view mirror does not help. While sitting at a stoplight at an intersection, vehicles opposite to mine often maintain their highbeams and are too far from mine for flashing my highbeams at them to do anything. Some of the bright headlights (not on high beams) I believe are LED retrofit and this is probably why turn signals are barely or not at all visible with some vehicles. Some of these suspected LED retrofits are as bright as the ones on a fire truck or ambulance. I saw them side by side tonight, prompting me to finally write this complaint. This problem needs to be regulated for the safety of everyone, especially night drivers and cars that sit lower to the ground than SUV/trucks. My windshield and my eye level is at the same height as an SUV’s headlights. Maybe a lumens test as part of the yearly inspection would help.Read more

On Saturday, February 7th, at approximately 1:00 PM, I was involved in a high-impact rear-end collision while driving cautiously with Adaptive Cruise Control and driver assistance systems activated, maintaining the distance set by the vehicle itself. When the vehicles ahead of me suddenly collided, my Nissan Armada did not brake properly. I am not stating that the braking response was insufficien
... t — I am stating that the braking system failed to function correctly. Despite fully depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle did not decelerate in a normal or expected manner. Most importantly, there were no visible skid marks or braking marks on the pavement after the accident, which strongly indicates that the braking system did not engage as it should have. Any properly functioning vehicle under full brake application would normally leave visible braking evidence on the roadway. This did not occur. The impact was severe and resulted in extensive frontal damage, yet no airbags deployed, which further intensifies the concern regarding multiple safety system failures. This incident placed my life, the lives of my family members traveling with me, and the lives of others on the road at extreme risk. While there were no fatalities, there were minor injuries and significant emotional trauma, particularly for my [XXX] daughter, who is now fearful of riding in a vehicle. Incident Summary On February 14, 2026, without warning, the vehicle stalled and shut down while I was backing into my driveway. The engine restarted briefly only to fail again. Two independent mechanics have confirmed a blown head gasket resulting from coolant intrusion into the engine cylinders that is consistent with the well-documented defect affecting this engine platform. The vehicle is curr

While towing 10,000 lb trailer vehicle displayed indicators that traction control and ABS were failing. I've taken vehicle to dealer 5 times since recall and it's now over 1 year and Chrysler failed to remedy recalled defective part 68143491AA. Chrysler complaint case no. 95672952 filed on 2/16/26. Chrysler HAS in fact produced the replacement part No. 68143491AB - supersedes failed part no.
... above. Local dealers have qty 9 of part locally in stock and sell to public for $500. After calling many parts dept sources, I learned dealers are lying and telling current owners no remedy available under recall so that Chrysler can prioritize replacing Ram trucks traded in to dealers so they can fix under recall and make those vehicles sellable by dealers as highest priority for parts. However, dealers are also willing to sell the new part to consumers at full msrp at parts counter + labor in service center. So they make eligible customers pay full price up front and fight to get reimbursed later after being out nearly $1000 to fix Chrysler's problem. I get that there may not be enough parts on hand for every recalled unit - yet. But there are enough now at dealers that when a truck comes in to dealer service center with proven HCU failure indicators (traction control and ABS warning lights) those customers should be given the recall part with labor as required of Chrysler. In my case, brake failure warning lights were documented 7 months ago at North Fort Worth Auto Nation dealer service center under invoice #187541. So, there is no excuse why I'm now being lied to and told they don't have new part 68143491AB when parts mgr told me himself they have 8 parts in stock at that dealership alone as of 2/16/26. NHTSA is allowing Chrysler to self-regulate on this without sufficient oversight. After a year plus since first recall notice there is NO excuse why current owners should be denied available parts to fix this known major safety issue.Read more
