Steering wheel "sticks" while driving at different mph. When it sticks and then breaks free, it causes a sudden jerk in the direction I am steering and has created several close calls for an accident. Luckily I was able to avoid other cars and being taken off the road into a ditch. There is a serious issue here that is not being addressed. I took my car to one dealer and they could not find anythi

Fortunately the service center is able to provide me with a loaner car so I can drive safely until this is fixed.Read more

I am unsure on what malfunctioned. When driving if we hit a bump in the road or the road is uneasy the truck begins to violently shake to the point we have to completely stop the vehicle. We have had it at numerous shops across the state and no one can tell us what is wrong. They say everything is fine with it. There are no lights on the dash signaling anything is wrong. We consider this a HUGE sa

We picked up a brand new car and as soon as we drove it off the lot, we noticed that the steering was pulling hard to the right as if the steering wheel were too loose, especially at high speeds on the highway. There were never any alerts or warnings about this issue in the car. But if we took our hands off the wheel, it would have driven off the road fairly quickly. We immediately reported it to
... Tesla since it was a new car and dropped it off for servicing. They realigned the car, but again after driving it it was still noticeably pulling to the right. We brought it in again and they did another realignment that ended up not making a difference. We brought in a 3rd time and they manually realigned it and tightened some bolts and said that should fix it, and again the problem persisted. So the 4th time we brought it in, we said this is on the verge of lemon-status, so they ended up replacing the whole steering rack and that ended up fixing the issue finally. Luckily they didn't charge us given it was under warranty and reported immediately. But given the recent news on your investigation into related steering issues, we wanted to flag this. Tesla clearly has quality control issues and didn't address the issue until we pressed them after 3 visits to the shop.Read more

There is currently an active recall with no remedy being made available as of 6/16/2023. In this recall it is stated EXCESS VOLTAGE AND CURRENT FLOW THROUGH THE BECM CAN RESULT IN A LOSS OF MOTIVE POWER WHICH INCREASES THE RISK OF A CRASH, OR A VEHICLE FIRE IN THE TRUNK AREA. The safety of my family, which includes a two year old who is in a car seat in the back seat has been put at risk every d
... ay due to this issue not being remedied and continuing to have a potential for vehicle fire every time we start the car. Ford has advised to not charge the vehicle, however there is a system that allows for recharge while breaking. I have pulled the following information from the Ford website..."Regenerative Braking, When you apply the brakes in a conventional vehicle, kinetic energy is lost due to friction. During braking in a Ford hybrid, however, regenerative braking recovers more than 90%* of this energy, sending it back to the battery to be stored for later use." With this feature the battery is still being engaged and putting my daughter at risk. It would be extremely time consuming to run around the vehicle to her location then unbuckle and pull her out from the car seat after having to pull over once alerted to the car being on fire, potentially while on the highway. Its unlikely that we would reach her in time to save her. Another consideration for risk would be to other drivers on the road. Creating an emergency such as vehicle fire has high probability to cause others to become distracted while driving leading to more injuries. Vehicle has been taken to the Ford dealership on multiple occasions in 2023 for battery issues. We request to see the issue completely resolved or for Ford to buy the vehicle back.Read more

When driving on the highway, almost all warning lights came on. I was in the middle lane and decided it best to get off the highway asap. I stepped on the gas as I looked to accelerate when changing lanes. The car did not speed up. I was able to make it off the highway at the next exit. As I was trying to come to a stop at the light, I pressed on the brakes and the car was not slowing down. I had
... already been decelerating coming up a hill prior to getting off the highway and thankfully the car came to a stop prior to hitting anyone or running through the traffic light at the end of the off ramp. There were no cars around. If there had been, I would have hit them. I had the car towed to the dealership. The towing company was able to reset the warning lights by temporarily disconnecting the battery. Prior to that, I could not take the car out of park. After the reset, the towing company was able to drive it onto the truck. The car had just come back from the dealership after its annual maintenance the day before. The dealer thinks that it may be related to software updates that had been made to the vehicle, but that has not been confirmed. My 2023 Kia Forte keeps automatically braking and coming to a complete stop when pulling out of a parking space. It does it in drive and in reverse. On January 4, 2024 I was pulling out of a parking spot on the road and when my front end was completely in the road the car came to a complete stop and I came very close to causing a collision with another vehicle. I’ve had it to the dealership for
... service 4 times and they duplicated the problem on my first visit and told me they feel my car stopped because it detected a curb and their resolution was to turn off the front end collision assistance safety feature. On the 3rd visit they said my tires did not even roll because I had snow in my wheel wells and that’s why my car stops but my wheels roll I drove my car there. On January 27, 2024 I dropped my car off to another service center who as of today still has my car and they are looking into - car automatically braking/stopping - front end collision assistance failure - blind spot warning lights lighting up and car beeping while on a two lane road - and another attempt to repair back passenger window not rolling down This car is very dangerous for me and my children to ride in and dangerous for other vehicles and passengers as it automatically stops with no warning and no reason .
