I've owned several vehicles in my life. The Volvo XC 90 advanced "safety features" have caused more near accidents in the first 10 months of owning this vehicle than anything I have ever experienced. The collission prevention and auto-braking features cannot be disabled on this car and they are defective and extremely dangerous. On sevreal occasions (four in the last two weeks alone) the auto-b
... raking has engage when performing simple task and common suburban style shopping center parking lots. Backing into spots (which is proven to be safer -- my employer used to require it) the auto braking SLAMS onthe brakes and tightens the seatbelts. I am not exagerrating I've almost had a heart attack it's so jarring. Once I performed a u-turn (was perfectly legal) but due to something in the road had to back up to do a three point turn -- the auto braking engaged. I was stuck without the ability to move quickly and was almost hit. In short, many false positives from this sytem that cause MORE HARM than good. It has prevented zero accidents and has caused me to almost get into an accident or scared the living you know what out of me and my passengers all but too many times. In adidtion to these issues, the infortainment system (Android based) has hung on sevreal ocassions. In those instances I cannot control the air conditioning, defroster, etc. Lastly, the last, the lane departure feature is similarly flawed to the auto braking features. Correcting or warning when there is nothing. These features that are supposed to help are in fact making my driving experience more dangerous. It has happened so many times, I'm considering involing an attorney. I have warned friends and family of the dangers of Volvo's flawed technology platform and "advanced safety features." I also shared thsi feedback withthe dealer who offered a simple "wipe and restore" of the infortainment system. At the core, the system is broken and flawed.Read more

While driving our well-maintained 2016 Acura MDX on a 30-minute drive on [XXX] , I heard a pop, and then the engine lost power. I couldn't get the RPMs over 2500. A fluttering noise evolved into knocking and the vehicle became increasingly sluggish and heavy. The check engine light started blinking, but the vehicle's temperature gauge showed no changes. There wasn't any smoke or unusual smells.
... I felt terrified trying to get safely onto the side of the road with cars driving at full speed. I had the car dropped off at our local service station and the owner determined that the engine cylinder was loose and lost compression with a knock. He says that the engine light did not give a code. The owner determined that we need to replace the engine. A rebuilt engine will cost us $8,000. When I called Acura, the service person I spoke with seemed surprised that our 8-year-old car with only 77,000 miles needed a new engine. Since Acura has so many cars to deal with on the latest recall, he said it would be weeks before anyone can look at it. I researched and found that our VPN was NOT included in the recent recall of 2016-2020 model year MDX vehicles all with the same problems. How can that be???? The propane regulator on this RV was recalled by the NHTSA recently as it was venting propane under high temperature conditions. The replacement regulator is of such poor quality, less than 1 year later the hoses are cracked and worn to the point where I do not trust them to hold propane. This is an item that previously had zero signs of wear, no cracks or damage to the hoses, but was faulty from
... the manufacturer and therefore recalled. I contacted Keystone who was happy to provide me with replacement parts, but at full retail cost. This part should have a usable service life of far longer than one year. The hoses are far more unsafe than the faulty regulator as they would allow liquefied propane to escape rather than just a little bit of gas propane under extremely hot conditions. My regulator was only replaced about a year ago, the regulator is also not exposed to any sunlight, so it is unlikely that sun damage could account for this issue.Read more

I called to Mitsubishi Road Service and they sent a tow truck to send my car to Don Herring Dealer. After 3 days Mitsubishi called me and told by according pictures it was a rock that hit my glass and broken and they dont have nothing to do. Don Herring Dealer in Texas and Sport Mitsubishi in Orlando both of them assume that dont have any real evidence that was a rock because the glass exploded direction it was to up - showing that happened from inside to outside. I went to Safelite Glass company too and they told the same. As it is tempered glass must be broken in small pieces completely or total fallen inside the car. This looks like when I open the shade and because inside the car was too cold and outside was too hot had some thermical shock and sunroof glass not hold this situation.Read more
