Transmission failed. Pulling into traffic the transmission failed to shift from first gear into second, instead not going into any gear at all, putting my entire family at risk of being struck by oncoming traffic! Engine revved and truck would not move. Then suddenly shifts into third gear jerking violently. Currently in shop for transmission replacement. After a bit of research I found that this

Incident date: Oct 15, 2025
Consistently after 10-20 minutes of driving with steering assist or immediately upon driving on cold days (under 50F), the steering wheel generates loud squeaking noises with the steering wheel stiffening and becoming harder to turn, creating a potential safety issue. The change is gradual but required a full stop of the car, shutdown, and restart to remedy. This issue has persisted for months
... and other Hyundai owners have shared the issue on various forums with Hyundai’s solution to replace the full steering column in some instances. Many owners seem to not be able to get help as dealers are not able to easily replicate this issue without lengthy drives.Read more

I was at a tea intersection and I needed to pull into traffic. This is the second time it’s happened by the way. And the traffic was pretty heavy, but if I really put on the grass, I’d be able to get into my lane no problem and as I was going to get into the lane and merge in the traffic, the gas shut off the brake warning went on because cars were coming at me to my left. I believe it’s the
... Toyota safety sense that stopped the gas into my car. The throttle was nonresponsive for a second or so, and it almost caused an accident the dealership has been made aware and the shop foreman says it’s a problem with Toyota safety sense and they told me they documented it when I brought my car in.Read more

The recall you are showing was completed 300 miles ago. There were no outstanding recalls on my vehicle on November 23, 2025. On this day I was driving home, at night and I heard a loud flapping sound coming from the front of my vehicle. I pulled over and checked the front and wheel wells, nothing was stuck. I got back in and started driving the flapping sound was coming as I pressed the gas, when
... coasting with no gas, there was no flapping sound. I managed to make it home and GM towed my truck the next day. The shop has informed me that the engine is gone. Even though I did the recall 300 miles ago, it was directly what they were looking for in the recall and did not find it. This clearly put me in danger.Read more

My back windshield exploded while it was parked in my office’s lot. The glass completely shattered for no apparent reason. I had to drive my vehicle with glass still connected but about to fall out. The truck has a hesitation to start from stop/slow state. This is concerning because when I start to accelerate, sometimes it doesn’t want to go for a 1-2 second time period making it unsafe to pull into traffic. It is sporadic and seems to happen more when I start and stop in quick succession.

I have had multiple issues with my Polestar 3. Most notably, the vehicle lost all propulsion at highway speeds. My safety was heavily jeopardized as I had to merge across multiple lanes of traffic to reach the shoulder. On the day of the incident, the car's propulsion stopped working 4 separate times. The Polestar service center did nothing other than reset the software and tell me the issue w
... as not repeatable. Additionally, the Polestar 3 has consistently electrical issues. I've had doors handles close on my fingers, the rear hatch close on my head, I had a period of time where the driver door did not open, and many basic elements like handsfree calling and bluetooth fail regularly. I also get repeated phantom front-end collision issues where the car automatically jams on the brakes when there is no actual concern for front-end collision. Lastly, like many Polestar 3 owners, I frequently have had multiple failures of the Level 2 Charging port. For the 2nd time, I am not able to charge at home or at any other Level 2 Charger. And frequent requests from Polestar to alleviate this go unheeded. I've had to spend a ton of time and money on Level 3 charging (like Electrify America) rather than the charger I paid to install at home. Overall, Polestar 3 has been an awful experience and the vehicle should not have been released. I'm effectively a beta tester for a substandard and unsafe vehicle.Read more

My A/C system experienced a total failure at around 79,000 miles. I took the vehicle to a service center, and they confirmed the failure is the A/C Evaporator. This component is now broken and available for inspection upon request. This evaporator failure is an extremely common, widely reported issue across this generation of vehicles and is almost certainly due to a manufacturing defect. The fa
... ilure creates two major safety risks: First, the loss of defrost capability causes the windshield to fog up immediately in rain or humidity, which completely blocks the driver's view. Second, the extreme interior heat caused by the lack of A/C creates severe driver fatigue and distraction, which impairs safe operation of the vehicle. This issue has been confirmed by the dealership, and there were no warning lights.Read more

2022 Toyota Corolla Hybrid Touchscreen/Infotainment Display randomly shut down while driving without warning and no longer functions. This could not be reset by holding the power button or disconnecting the vehicle battery. The backup camera still works, and the radio can be heard when the power button is pressed, but the display remains on a black screen and none of the controls on the steering w
... heel or headunit work. At night, the lights on the buttons for the multimedia display turn on and off every 10 seconds which is extremely distracting and has the potential to cause an accident. This defective part serves as a safety issue, as this is where critical maintenance and hybrid battery power related errors displayed. In addition there are many critical controls locked behind the screen related to door locks, hybrid battery usage, and other vehicle controls, as well as personal data that may now be at risk and unable to be able to be deleted. Vehicle was inspected by a Lia Toyota of Rockland Dealership Service department and determined to be a faulty display, requiring a compete unit replacement. The quoted cost is $2500, and despite my car having only 35500 miles, this is not covered under any warranty due to being outside the 36 month time window. The multimedia display in this car is a critical component and is just as vital to the car as the engine/transmission. It is a shame that Toyota reliability is a thing of the past.Read more

While driving our 2022 Hyundai Tucson Limited with the 2.5L engine and about 39,000 miles, the check engine light suddenly came on. Right away the car started behaving strangely. The throttle response became jerky and uneven, and when idling the engine ran at a higher RPM than normal and sounded off. The vehicle also struggled to accelerate, which made it feel unsafe to drive. Thankfully this happ
... ened while we were not on the highway, but if it had occurred while merging or keeping up with traffic, it could have been dangerous. Even in city driving, the jerky response and slower acceleration created risk. What would normally be a safe turn across or into traffic could easily have turned into a slower, delayed turn and a potential accident. When we got home, I checked the code and it said it was a cylinder misfire on cylinder 3. The car had been regularly serviced at the dealer and had never shown signs of this issue before. Based on the symptoms, I suspect it may be related to the fuel injectors, but we haven’t been able to get the vehicle in for inspection because local dealers are backed up. One dealer even told us it was fine to keep driving as long as the check engine light wasn’t blinking, which feels concerning given the way the car is performing.Read more

1. The 3.5L V6 Engine (2GR-FE) failed due to the subsequent loss of lubrication caused by the rupture of the Oil Cooler Pipe (Rubber component), a manufacturing defect known under TSB T-SB-0201-11 (ZE2 Program). The failed engine is currently available for inspection by request at the independent service center before it is disposed of. 2. The defect causes a sudden and severe loss of engine oil.
... This creates a high probability of the engine seizing (losing all power) while driving at highway speeds, resulting in a complete loss of propulsion and placing occupants at severe risk of collision. 3. The failure was confirmed, not reproduced. The vehicle was initially diagnosed with misfire codes (P0300, P0301). New spark plugs and ignition coils were installed in an attempt to resolve the issue. As the misfire persisted, the mechanic performed a compression test, confirming catastrophic zero compression failure in cylinders 1 and 2. Professional diagnostics then revealed critical codes: P1603 (ECM Malfunction), P1604 (Startability Malfunction), and P1605 (Rough Idling). These codes confirm a severe internal engine issue, consistent with permanent damage sustained during the oil loss event caused by the ZE2 pipe defect in July 2024. 4. No, not physically inspected by the manufacturer. The manufacturer (Toyota Executive Office Case Manager) was provided with certified documentation of the failure, including the photo of the faulty pipe, maintenance records during our ownership, and the dealership purchase statement for the replacement part. Toyota refused to authorize a physical diagnostic inspection of the failed engine at a dealership before denying goodwill assistance. 5.Yes. I am writing to formally raise a critical safety and contract breach complaint regarding my leased Jeep Wrangler EV, which is subject to recalls 68C and 78C. These recalls involve severe safety defects that pose an immediate risk of catastrophic battery fire (recall 68C) and dangerous engine failure with possible fire (recall 78C). Both defects create a clear and present danger to my personal safe
... ty, the safety of others, and property. Jeep has admitted in official communications that there is currently no available remedy to fix these life-threatening issues. The absence of a remedy means I am being forced to operate or keep a vehicle that is unsafe under the law and industry safety standards. This is not a simple inconvenience or minor defect but a fundamental vehicle safety failure. Additionally, I have been instructed not to use essential vehicle functions, such as charging the battery or parking indoors, in order to mitigate fire risk. This directive is wholly unacceptable and unreasonable. I leased this vehicle specifically for its electric and plug-in hybrid capabilities. Being told not to charge the vehicle or use it normally effectively denies me the primary functions of the car, violating the implied warranty of merchantability and my lease agreement. Continuing to require me to use an unsafe vehicle without a fix is a breach of contract and a violation of consumer rights and safety laws. Jeep and the leasing company are legally obligated to promptly provide a safe remedy or resolution which they are not able to do. Due to the severe and unremedied safety risks, I demand that NHTSA take immediate enforcement action requiring manufacturers and leasing companies to terminate affected leases and refund all payments to owners. Owners should not be forced to use or retain unsafe vehicles lacking any fix. Prompt regulatory intervention is imperative to protect public safety. Please help to hold jeep accountable and force termination and full refunds.Read more
