(fcw) lamp turns on with no way to disable, units of measurement including speed, temperature, etc. all change, and many other random settings change as well. ***This is clearly a dangerous situation because of all the functions and gauges that change, and the fact it is difficult if not impossible to recover from this due to the language of the setting menus, and the complexity of discovering and navigating through all these changes. I have taken it to the dealer, and they say there is nothing they can do and to wait for a possible software update, but none has come and it has been over a year. When this happens, even if one is able to wade through all the settings menus and change setting back, some items cannot be reset (like the FCA off lamp). According to various Jeep owner forums, some dealers have been able to reset something and temporarily correct the issue, but they charge for this service, and the issue returns randomly again. I have now been waiting for the third consecutive week with no clear timeline for parts availability or when the vehicle will be returned to me. The incident occurred while traveling at 75 mph on the interstate. The car felt like it tried to put itself in park and slammed forward violently, at that time it came up with a shift fault light on the display, it shifted to neutral so there was no movement of the vehicle it was free wheeling, then it slammed itself back in a low gear where the vehicle slammed hard and the car engine was redlined

The issue returned later in the year, and I visited my local Chevrolet dealer on November 24th, 2025, where a reset was attempted. While temporarily effective, the problem recurred. A follow-up service appointment on December 8th, 2025, confirmed that the Telematics Communication Control Module had failed — the same hardware component that controls OnStar access, vehicle geo-location, navigation, and software updates. At that time, I was informed by the service advisor that several other EVs were experiencing the same issue and that the replacement part was on national backorder, with some customers waiting more than two months. I was not given a clear estimate of when the part would arrive. This issue has effectively disabled: All OnStar connectivity (a paid subscription service), The vehicle’s ability to receive manufacturer-recommended OTA software updates, GPS navigation and location services, including vehicle tracking — a feature relied upon by my insurance company. My wife was going at about 10 - 15 mph coming up about 2 car lengths to a small curve in a residential area when all of a sudden she heard a pop or snap and the Rav4 went to a super high speed by itself. The acceleration could not be stopped even though she had her feet on the brakes. She had both hands on the steering wheel to avoid hitting a house and ended up going through a wall in the yard.

There was no pre-collision warning or braking except as my wife was pushing on the brakes. She also hit the right side into side wall. No air bags deployed even though Windshield and all door glass on sides shattered. My wife the driver was okay and not hurt, and the grandchild in the car seat behind my wife was fine also. Neither had injuries. There were checked by emt. The police looked but all would not try to get in except to remove my granddaughter. My wife was removed also because she could not get out the door was jammed against shed and rock, and handles broken off This happened after the recall work was done by toyota dealer on 12/04/2025. There were no problems prior to the recall. Two of the bolts fastening the front left control arm has fallen off an my car was not moveable. The front left wheel was static and not moving. This happened during while I was driving in active traffic. Had to get the car towed to Tesla for servicing.

The dealer eventually repaired the correct sensors, and the rearview camera was repaired. Recently, the contact stated while driving 65 MPH in the snow, the RPM revved high while depressing accelerator pedal and the vehicle started coasting. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure persisted, and the vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic and was diagnosed with a defective CVT transmission. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was filed. The contact was then referred to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 150,000. I bring my car for a recall notice on the 11/28/25 , and on Saturday 11/29/25 my car lost power he couldn't go faster than 45 mph. and the engine light on and 3 other lights was on to, I bring my car back to the dealer and they told me it was the oil cooler thermostat and bled system they charged me 1203.20 for the fix. and they keep my car for 3 days. finally , they returned the car to me on 12/2
