We purchased a Jeep Wagoneer L from Liberty Jeep in Libertyville, IL in May of 2024 and have had issues since. The first issue was on August 25th 2024 when I was driving my vehicle it stopped in the middle of the road and turned off. I had to turn my car back on and thankfully was only a block away and drive it to my driveway with the steering stiff the whole way. After this, the Jeep had to come
... tow my car on August 26th. There was no warning until after it happened. Dealer had the car for one day and then said to come get it on August 27th it was fixed. My husband went to pick it up and as soon as he drove away the engine light went back on. So he turned around and brought it back in. It was in the shop from the 27th-Sept 13 2024. They said it was a catalytic converter that needed to be replaced. Since purchasing the vehicle the trunk had never fully worked. We would always need to mess with it to open or close. On Nov 1 2024 the car was brought in for trunk repair. It was there until Nov 6th 2024. Well they said they fixed it and then in Feb 19 2025 it was brought back in again for the trunk. It stayed in the shop till March 4th 2025 for trunk repair. They said they fixed it again. November 3rd 2025 car was brought back in for stiff steering. When I went to turn the car steering went stiff and I couldn’t turn. I had my daughter and her three friends in the car. On top of that the navigation screen was freezing and the camera’s weren’t working. They said it needed updates with the technology and all was good. On Dec 14th 2025 the trunk wouldn’t close. It would open when I was driving my 3 kids in the car. I had to have my [XXX] son sit in the trunk to hold the trunk closed so I could get us home. Jan 17th 2026 I would be at a stop light and my car would alert me to put the car in Park, Turn car on and off then put it in drive then it would say ABS service. This happened on a highway at a light multiple times. Someone could seriously be injured. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACTRead more

Issue: loud whining coming from transmission during acceleration, rough shifting, transmissions slips. Rough shifting noticed shortly after 25k warranty. More details: I had purchase my vehicle new at Dublin Toyota and have serviced my vehicle regularly recommended by Toyota dealer. Took into dealer for 90k service which included transmission fluid change. After the service I noticed that the b
... ill didn’t include transmission fluid on the materials list. I called the service advisor and asked if it had been changed. The service advisor said he couldn’t prove it as it was not listed so he asked that I bring it back in and he will make sure it is changed. I brought the car back in.. The service team never mentioned any concerns with transmission. Whining started a couple weeks after. I took my car to transmission shop, who inspected a found black burnt transmission fluid with metal pieces. I informed them that I brought my car in for service which was supposed to include a transmission fluid change. They said it didn’t look like it was changed, and if it was, the the service tech would have noticed the black fluid and should have advised of transmission concerns. I was advised that the transmission is damaged beyond being rebuild and needs to be replaced. This failure is a known and acknowledged issue with Toyota UA80F/E transmissions. The component that malfunctioned is the Integrated Charge Control Unit (ICCU) and related high-voltage charging system in my 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5. The ICCU controls AC (Level 2) charging, DC fast charging functions, and power delivery. The ICCU assembly and charging components were serviced and replaced by an authorized Hyundai dealer and are available for inspection through service records. This
... defect created a safety risk because the vehicle experienced complete charging failure and reduced-power operation. Loss of charging capability can leave drivers stranded, and reduced-power “turtle mode” conditions can limit acceleration and vehicle performance, creating hazards in traffic. The charge port has also not locked during charging, creating a potential risk of electrical arcing during DC fast charging. The failure was reproduced and confirmed by an authorized Hyundai dealer. In approximately January 2025 the vehicle would not charge and remained at the dealership for an extended period (about January through June 2025). After diagnosis and consultation with Hyundai technical support, the dealer replaced the ICCU assembly and high-voltage fuse. The vehicle and charging system have been inspected multiple times by Hyundai service centers. Hyundai issued recall campaigns in 2023 and 2024 involving ICCU software updates and fuse-related work, but these did not prevent the later failure requiring full ICCU replacement. Prior symptoms included abnormal charging behavior and eventual total loss of AC charging capability during the 2025 failure, making home charging impossible. After the ICCU replacement, the vehicle exhibited unusually loud cooling fan operation during Level 2 charging, documented by the dealer. There were also charging-port safety concerns. After one service visit, an important DC pin cover/cap was not properly installed until corrected on a return visit, leaving charging components exposed.Read more

I drove into the parking lot of Walgreens, then drove around and pulled into a parking spot facing the south side of the building and put my foot on the brake to stop and park. When the police came, I told them my foot must ha
... ve slipped off the brake and hit the accelerator, since I had no idea what else might have caused the car to accelerate like that. My wife drove the car home and then drove to the ER where the EMTs had taken me. A CT scan showed that I had a fractured sternum, since my chest hit the steering wheel full force after the air bags failed to deploy. I was in excruciating pain for a few weeks, and after I felt better, we submitted a claim to our insurance company. We then took our 2017 Subaru Legacy to a certified Subaru collision repair center. We were shocked to find that the car was totaled, since it was still drivable. Something kept bothering us about the crash, since EyeSight should have applied the brakes if I had accidentally accelerated and it detected a brick wall in front of our car. After some research, we stumbled on the information about the Class-Action Lawsuit that was just settled by Subaru for reports of Sudden Unintended Acceleration (SUA). The description of what happens with SUA was exactly what I experienced, but this was the first we had heard of it. We were never notified about the lawsuit, even though our VIN number shows our car was involved. Our Subaru dealership had all our contact information since we bought our Legacy from them and they have done all the maintenance work on it. Unfortunately, we released our car to Copart as part of our insurance settlement, so there’s no way to check the EDR data. The roadway near [XXX] has progressive subsidence over more than 2 years, resulting in a reversed/inadequate gradient. Severe stormwater ponding after rain forms a river-like pool of standing water contaminated with toxic waste, raw sewage, industrial pollution, chemicals, ankle-biter mosquito larvae (breeding vector for diseases like West Nile), dirt, mud, animal droppings, litter, and dead plan
... t matter. This creates major hazards: hydroplaning/reduced traction for drivers, accelerated pavement failure, pedestrian slip risks, high vector-borne disease potential (mosquitoes), foul odors, and possible sinkhole from subgrade erosion/voids. Reported >20 times via MyLA311 in 2+ years. City previously acknowledged sinking gradient needs correction. Only action: one failed temporary asphalt patch that worsened the depression. No subsurface investigation (GPR/etc.), gradient restoration, permanent drainage (catch basins/inlets/piping/regrading), full-depth repave, or contaminated water abatement. **Urgent corrective actions required:** 1. Deploy civil/geotechnical engineers for subsurface evaluation with ground-penetrating radar (GPR) or equivalent to identify cause (voids, erosion, utilities) and assess sinkhole risk. 2. Restore proper roadway cross-slope/longitudinal gradient for effective positive drainage. 3. Install/repair stormwater infrastructure to eliminate chronic contaminated ponding. 4. Full-depth pavement reconstruction: remove failed layers, compact subgrade, new asphalt to standards. 5.
