The 2025 and 2026 dually 3500 Ram trucks with the 12" AAM rear axle are having issues with the rear wheel speed sensors (different sensor for each side). They apparently fail or are not able to properly communicate to the computer. When this happens, the following are disabled: -ABS -Auto Emergency Braking -4x4 -Electronic Stability Control -Cruise Sometimes, the engine won't shut off. The gauge
... cluster will state it can't detect which position the transmission is in. So, you cannot shift, and you can't shut the truck off, and you can't drive. You are stuck in place with a running engine. Despite Stellantis releasing a new revision of wheel speed sensors (AB revision), they have failed in less than 2,000 miles on my truck. Many, many dually owners are experiencing these failures. I've had this problem occur over half a dozen times. It has been to the dealership to be repaired 3 times so far. After the 2nd time at the dealership, the sensors only last less than 23 miles.Read more

2 days after the delearship changed my oil to a heavier weight, my engine began knocking. I’m told the rod is bent but not covered by warranty
Incident date: Feb 2, 2026
I purchased this vehicle as a Nissan Certified Pre-Owned in July 2024 and also purchased an extended warranty. In June 2025, I received notice of the KR engine bearing recall affecting this vehicle. I brought the vehicle to Nissan dealerships three separate times regarding this recall and related concerns, but no repair was performed and I was told to wait because a remedy was not yet available.
... On January 29th, while driving, the vehicle began shaking severely and white smoke began coming from the tailpipe. There were no warning lights. The vehicle became undrivable and had to be towed to a Nissan dealership. The dealership diagnosed the failure as a failed EGR cooler that allowed coolant into the engine, which they state destroyed the engine and requires a full engine replacement. The dealership is now claiming this is not covered under warranty, recall, or extended coverage. However, the KR engine bearing recall specifically addresses internal engine defects that can lead to overheating, coolant system damage, and engine failure. The EGR cooler failure appears to be secondary damage caused by the known engine defect described in the recall. I had already presented the vehicle multiple times to Nissan for this issue after the recall was announced, and no repair was made. I am now being told I must pay for a full engine replacement on a vehicle with an active engine recall and extended engine warranty coverage, despite having sought service multiple times before the catastrophic failure occurred. I believe this is a direct result of Nissan failing to properly address a known engine defect covered by recall, and I am concerned this represents a broader safety issue for other owners whose engines may fail before Nissan implements a remedy.Read more

My vehicle experienced catastrophic engine failure consistent with well-documented defects in Kia GDI engines. Kia has acknowledged these defects through recalls, settlements, and extended warranties covering later model years. However, Kia has refused repair or good-faith assistance for my vehicle solely because my VIN is excluded, despite the engine design being materially identical to covered models. I contacted Kia Corporate directly, provided my VIN, and was assigned a case number. Kia informed me that: - My VIN is not eligible for recall or settlement relief - No good-faith repair would be offered - Denial was based on model year/VIN classification, not engine design or failure mode - I am not the original owner, which Kia cited as an additional reason for denial Why This Is Concerning: - The 2013 Kia Soul was equipped with the same GDI engine architecture later acknowledged as defective - Consumers are being denied relief based on administrative cutoffs rather than engineering reality - Kia continues to avoid responsibility for early-year vehicles that suffer identical failures - The cost of engine replacement far exceeds the vehicle’s value, leaving consumers with unrecoverable losses I am requesting - Review Kia’s handling of known GDI engine defects - Assess whether Kia’s exclusion of certain VINs constitutes an unfairRead more

Here is a summary of the issue I experienced in a form of answers your questions. I have uploaded a more detailed description of the issue in a pdf file. 1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The power steering on my new 2026 BMW X3 iDrive30 failed (at 135 miles on the odometer) while making a righthand turn resulting in the steer
... ing wheel being extremely difficult to turn. My car was towed to BMW of Sterling (Virginia) where it was repaired by replacing the electrical steering box. While my car itself is available for inspection, you would need to contact BMW of Sterling to determine if the parts that were replaced are available for inspection. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? With the steering wheel extremely difficult to turn, any precise, time-critical maneuvers to avoid collisions with other vehicles, pedestrians, etc. was significantly compromised. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? BMW of Sterling personnel confirmed the issue when my car was dropped off for repair. Service diagnostics also confirmed the failure. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? My car was inspected only by BMW of Sterling personnel. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? In my estimation, no. I did not notice any audible or visual indications until shortly after the steering failure when I saw several warning messages displayed on my car’s LED “dashboard”. NHTSA COMPLAINT - 2026 BMW X3 WINDSHIELD DEFECT Our brand new 2026 BMW X3 has experienced two complete windshield failures within six weeks of purchase. Both windshields spontaneously cracked from the perimeter bonding edge with NO rock strikes or impacts: ∙First failure (Week 3): Crack from driver-side A-pillar edge ∙Second failure (Week 6): Crack from top horizontal edge near rearview mirror
... Critical Pattern: Both cracks originated from different points along the windshield-to-body bonding periphery, indicating a systemic defect in the entire bonding system, not isolated damage. Safety Risk: This violates FMVSS 212 windshield retention requirements. Risks include: windshield detachment during crashes, airbag deployment failure, sudden visibility loss while driving, and water intrusion causing electrical fires. Key Evidence: BMW has already recalled FOUR related 2026 models for identical windshield seal defects: ∙Campaign 25V556: X5/X7 (1,406 vehicles) - improperly sealed windshields ∙Campaign 25V671: X4/X6 - same defect The X3 shares the same platform, manufacturing facility, and production timeframe but was excluded from recalls. Statistical Impossibility: Two spontaneous windshield failures in six weeks with zero impacts on a new vehicle cannot be coincidence. Normal defect rates are <0.1% annually. Dealer Confirmation: BMW dealer confirmed and replaced first windshield. Second failure proves systematic defect. Request: Investigate whether 2026 X3 has the same defect as recalled X4/X5/X6/X7 models and expand recalls accordingly. The forward collision avoidance system in this generation of Hyundai tucsons is dangerously flawed. We previously had a 2020 and no issues, but this one slams the brakes at the drop of a hat and has nearly caused several accidents as there is no good reason for the intervention (ample space to leading vehicle) and it brakes so hard that cars behind typically need to veer to avoid rear end collisi
... on. This is not a one-off event or linked to particular driver/driving style - both adult owners of this vehicle have experienced this on multiple unrelated occasions. All sensitivity setting have been set to minimum and the only way to drive with peace of mind is to completely disable the system - but here is where the next massive design flaw is: the system automatically reenables at each re-ignition; there is not permanent override, which is EXTREMELY dangerous. It is not practical to manually disable the system on each drive because you need to navigate multiple system menus to adjust the setting. Google and user forums confirm this collision avoidance system is a widely experienced and complained about safety issue for Hyundai and it should be investigated. People will likely get killed due to this “safety feature”. Ideally Hyundai should push a recalibration for those who want this feature AND enable a permanent override option in the system settings for those who don’t.Read more

While driving my 2018 Toyota Camry in active traffic, the vehicle suddenly stopped accelerating despite pressing the accelerator pedal. The engine remained on, but the vehicle would not move when pressing accelerator pedal. This occurred without warning and created an immediate safety hazard because surrounding traffic was moving normally and I was unable to maintain speed or clear the roadway. T
... he loss of acceleration occurred while the vehicle was already in motion, not during startup, and placed me at risk of being rear-ended. There were no dashboard warnings prior to the failure. The condition appeared intermittent and unpredictable. This issue is extremely dangerous because a driver cannot rely on the vehicle to accelerate when needed to avoid collisions or safely merge, cross intersections, or keep up with traffic flow. What Happened After the Failure The vehicle required pulling over / restarting / limping to safety due to inability to accelerate normally. This defect makes the vehicle unsafe to operate in normal traffic conditions. ⸻ Additional Safety Concerns I have discovered numerous consumer complaints and ongoing litigation involving 2018 Toyota Camry automatic transmission failures, including reports of hesitation, loss of power, and failure to accelerate. This suggests a systemic transmission defect, not normal wear and tear. This failure presents a serious risk of crash, injury, or death, especially in intersections, highways, or congested traffic. Requested Action I am requesting that NHTSA: •Investigate this issue as a potential safety defect •Review similar complaints involving 2018 Toyota Camry automatic transmissions •Require corrective action, including recall or mandatory repair, if a defect is confirmedRead more
