The vehicle is a 2025 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road subject to Safety Recall 25TA11 involving the front axle shafts potentially breaking. The vehicle has been at a Toyota dealership and out of service for an extended period while waiting for a repair solution. The dealer has confirmed that no repair can currently be pe

This defect creates a safety concern because a front axle shaft failure could result in loss of drive power and potential loss of vehicle control while driving. The vehicle is currently available for inspection at the Toyota dealership upon request.Read more

I am reporting a safety defect involving (1) sudden loss of propulsion (“turtle mode”/limp mode) while accelerating/merging into traffic and (2) unintended steering movement while driver-assist/lane centering was active (vehicle jerked toward adjacent lane and off roadway). These events create an immediate crash risk. The vehicle has also had repeated charging-related overheating/charging stop

Warranty has now expired, and an independent scan shows ongoing network/data bus/12V monitoring faults consistent with continuing electrical/network instability. I am requesting NHTSA review for a potential safety defect investigation/recall.Read more

I rely on this vehicle daily to transport my child to school and to commute to work. A sudden failure while in traffic could result in becoming stranded or involved in a collision. • The vehicle was inspected by an authorized Toyota dealer and an independent service center. The only symptom was an abnormal internal noise from the transmission, which began suddenly at approximately 66,000 miles. • The vehicle has received regular maintenance and is used for normal daily driving. Engine Failure - available for inspection Safety was at risk when the vehicle died multiple times on the highway and I was told that there was no issue by ford. The dealership understand the problem now that the check engine light is staying on. No inspection other than by ford's mechanics. Possible insurance inspection. Alerts for engine failure whenever the car died. In November 2025 my car
... died on the highway. I was driving normally and the engine cut out (service code included Engine Failure). I was able to turn the vehicle back on and drive to auto zone. They believed the issue was my battery. I had the battery replaced at belle tire, 20 minutes after the battery replacement the car died again so I took it to a ford dealership and explained the issue. Ford drove the car approximately 40 miles and could not recreate the issue and told me it was fine to continue driving. Over the next month it was driven sparingly but still died a few times. The check engine light never stayed on after it died so mechanics were never able to confirm the Engine Failure (or other code). In mid January the problem became significantly worse one day. It now idles roughly and shakes - even in park. I brought the car back to the same ford dealership and the code is now no relative compression in the engine. After this happened I learned about the known issue with ford vehicles where coolant leaks into the engine. The mechanic at the ford dealership agreed this is likely what happened.Read more

I am submitting this complaint to report a safety defect involving a 2026 GMC Yukon XL AT4 equipped with the GM Brembo brake upgrade. The vehicle is sold as equipped with a full-size spare tire; however, the spare tire/wheel supplied cannot be mounted due to interference from the brake calipers. This incompatibility was discovered only after a flat tire event on [XXX], during which the vehicle co
... uld not be safely returned to service. The Brembo brake upgrade is a GM-designed option that is installed by the dealer in all cases. Despite this, the vehicle was delivered with emergency equipment that is unusable in the event of a flat tire. GM has acknowledged the incompatibility and relies on a warning label placed beneath the vehicle, rather than providing a compatible spare or disclosure at the point of sale. This defect resulted in a prolonged roadside emergency involving an elderly passenger and a failure of manufacturer-provided roadside assistance. I believe this condition affects all vehicles equipped with the Brembo brake upgrade and represents a systemic safety issue involving emergency preparedness and disclosure. My 2018 Ford F-150 experiences harsh, erratic, and unpredictable transmission shifting. The truck frequently hesitates during acceleration, followed by sudden and violent gear engagement. It also makes abrupt downshifts while driving, causing unexpected deceleration that can be dangerous in traffic. The truck will shift from 8th, 9th, or 10th gear down to 1st at highway speeds. This causes abrupt
... deceleration and significant loss of speed on the highway. On multiple occasions, the transmission has delayed engagement when shifting from a stop, creating hesitation when entering intersections or merging, followed by a sudden surge of power. This creates an unsafe driving condition and increases the risk of rear-end collision or loss of control. The shifting behavior is inconsistent and unpredictable, occurring during both in traffic and highway driving. The problem is worsening over time. Given the frequency and severity of these events, I believe this transmission behavior represents a significant safety defect that should be investigated for potential recall or corrective action.Read more

I told them I wanted to defer that service until later in February unless it was catastrophic when we discussed the findings. They told me that the car was safe to drive and proceeded with the wheel alignment and replacement on the rear. The ball joint failure was catastrophic and presents a serious safety concern, particularly given the recent dealer inspection and the short time between inspection and failure. Warranty coverage was later denied by the dealership, despite having just inspected the car for damage and claimed that the failure of the front ball joint was caused by deferring the rear wheel housing service. While driving at highway speeds, my daughter experienced, without any prior symptom, a violent shaking of the vehicle in general, accompanied by violent shaking of the steering wheel, making the vehicle difficult to control. We have since discovered it is a known issue "popularly" known as the "Jeep Death Wobble". My daughter was startled and frightened by the extent of the shaking and nearly lost
... control of the vehicle while driving 6o+ miles per hour on a highway. She managed to pull off the side of the road and call me to come pick her up, unwilling to drive the vehicle any further. We currently live in Ohio; if we still lived in San Antonio, TX and she was driving on one of their raised overpasses, I fear what might have happened. I believed this to be an anomaly, but have now experienced this phenomenon on four out of five Jeep Wrangle/Gladiator vehicles within my own family, a failure rate of 80%. All occurred prior to 36,000 miles (but after three years). When I took the vehicle in for repair to the Jeep dealership, they modified my statement of the problem on official paperwork because, they said, if they mentioned "death wobble" on paperwork, they would have a team of engineers descend on their dealership (which they did not want). They also recommended a repair that did not fix the problem. As an engineer, I recognize this as likely a resonance design flaw. My fear is, based on this statement and my lived experience, this serious safety issue is being greatly under-reported. While some years/models have received recalls, not all have ... and Jeep appears complicit in addressing this safety issue across all vehicles exhibiting this frightening, potentially accident-inducing issue. I cannot understand why a recall does not cover all affected vehicles ... unless, as I mentioned, the issue is being under-reported by the company. Please investigate/address this issue before someone dies. I honestly believe I came close to losing one of my daughters that day.Read more
