We purchased a 2025 Toyota Sienna Woodland Edition in July 2025. On October 7, 2025 we were notified that vehicle is subject to a safety recall [NHSTA Recall No. 25V-668, Toyota Recall No. 25TA12 (Interim Notice 25TB12)] due to improperly welded seat rails. The recall states: "The subject vehicles contain second-row seats that are mounted on seat rails that may have been improperly welded. If
... these seats are occupied during certain high-speed collisions, the seat may lose structural integrity, increasing the risk of injury. All known owners of the subject vehicles will be notified to return their vehicles to a Toyota dealer. For all involved vehicles, the dealer will replace the second-row seat rails with rails that have proper welding, free of charge. For all involved vehicles, Toyota will notify customers by early December 2025." Following the recall notice, we returned our Toyota Sienna to the dealer due to the safety risk of putting our children (or any passenger) in the second row seats and we are currently driving a rental car. Toyota has not yet indicated a solution for this recall and has not provided a remedy as originally stated by December 2026. Given that it is now February 20, 2026 and our vehicle has been out of service for it's intended purpose for over 120 days without a remedy, we would like to officially log a complaint with the NHSTA.Read more

On February 15 Sunday night my 2024 Accord was broken in by thieves. Honda’s door lock system was so easy that robbers were able to hack it and open the driver door easily. After which steering wheel airbag was stolen. There was another Honda Accord 2025 model also parked which belong to my family member, was also hit by same thieves and was a victim of door brake in and steering wheel airbag s
... tolen. I would like to file complaint against Honda’s week security system which allowed the thieves to easily brake into our Vehicles. Upon checking the internet I came across videos of how easy it is to steel the airbags since it only requires 2 small flathead screw drivers to unlatch the steering wheel air bag. During my conversation with police who files my report mentioned that “ honda is being hit with these cases a-lot and honda vehicles can easily be started with wifi system”. I spoke to the service advisor at Honda who is fixing my car about this issue, he responded saying “ there is nothing we can do. The best thing you can do is put steering wheel lock bar on it”. At this point I don’t feel safe having Honda vehicle at all. What can prevent them from not breaking to my car again after being fixed? At this point it is a high risk for me for constantly paying insurance deductibles and chances of insurance premiums increments and worst of all a constant stress every night of being hit again.Read more

The car began rattling and shaking, then the accelerator stopped responding, and the vehicle gradually decelerated despite pressing the gas pedal. I was forced to activate hazard lights and maneuver to the shoulder. Multiple large trucks were traveling at high speed and did not immediately move over, coming dangerously close to striking my disabled vehicle. Because of the severe weather and approaching storm conditions, I was stranded on the highway in a vulnerable position. The sudden loss of propulsion created a significant risk of a high-speed rear-end collision. The vehicle was towed after the incident. It has not yet been confirmed whether the dealer has reproduced the failure. The malfunction occurred suddenly while driving and has not been intentionally reproduced by me. The vehicle would not restart at the time of the incident. The vehicle was towed following the incident. It has not yet been inspected by police or insurance representatives. Inspection by a Toyota dealer/manufacturer representative is pending (or currently in progress, if applicable). Approx. 15 minutes before reaching my destination, the vehicle began rattling and shaking unexpectedly while driving at highway speed. Shortly after, the rattling stopped, but the accelerator pedal stopped responding and the vehicle began decelerating. There is a presence of gasoline in the oil which is causing two(2) safety issues. 1. The infiltration of gasoline in the oil can cause the engine to malfunction to the point of seizure which could cause a sudden stop in traffic flow. 2. The noxious gasoline fumes are unbearable in the cabin of the truck causing headaches, nausea, and lightheadedness which could cause an accident while driving a
... nd could cause the driver to become disoriented and cause an accident. I took the vehicle to Napleton Honda in Loves Park, Illinois to address the problem, and they, in turn contacted American Honda for guidance. The dealership said the technical arm of American Honda said the fumes and the gasoline infiltration was, "NORMAL. I was contacted by American Honda and they suggested that I get a second opinion from another dealership, which IMHO is moot because they will contact American Honda for guidance and they will be told the exact same thing. The case number with American Honda is: XXX. The vehicle is currently under warranty for approximately one(1) more month. I had the oil analyzed by Blackstone Laboratories and they did, in fact detect gasoline in the oil. I have those results. I talked to the Honda Case Manager and she said that Honda will not/does not accept third party testing. American Honda will not even agree to test the oil themselves to determine if what I'm saying is true. I would sincerely appreciate any assistance since my truck is almost unbearable and certainly unsafe to drive. There are currently no warning or check engine lights on, but a simple oil analysis would, 100% confirm the presence of gasoline in the oil. I have noticed the gasoline odor for approximately 9 months and it has progressively gotten worse. I try to combat the noxious odors and impending motor damage by changing my oil very frequently which is approximately every 500-750 miles with full synthetic oil. Description of Incident: The car was sold with a passenger-front Dunlop tire that suffered a critical structural failure where the tread rubber completely wore away, leaving the internal metal cords and plies exposed (visual evidence attached). I was unknowingly operating the vehicle in this hazardous condition for 136 miles of highway and local driving until the defect was fully identified on Feb
... ruary 14th. Component Availability: The tire was removed from the vehicle on February 14th by an independent service center during the emergency purchase of four new tires. While the physical tire was left for disposal at the service center, high-resolution photographs of the failure are available and attached to this report for inspection. Safety Risk: The vehicle was sold in an unsafe and illegal condition (IL Vehicle Code 625 ILCS 5/12-405). The exposed structural metal plies created an imminent risk of a high-speed blowout or catastrophic tread separation, endangering both the occupants of my vehicle and other motorists. Confirmation/Inspection: The problem was confirmed by a certified technician at an independent service center on February 14th, who identified the tire as unfit for service. The selling dealer (Jidd Motors) was notified of a defect on February 6th but refused to replace the tire. This incident has also been reported to the Illinois Attorney General and the Illinois Secretary of State Police (Dealer Operations). Warning Symptoms: There were no warning lamps, TPMS messages, or symptoms prior to the physical discovery of the exposed metal. The tire maintained air pressure despite the severe structural compromise.Read more

This was a recall earlier, twice, and it was supposedly fixed but the fuel vacuum line to the gas tank is leaking and giving off gasoline odors in the passenger area. Both of these issues are fire hazards and the fue
... l leakage can can the operator or passengers to succomb to carbon minoxide. These were told to us by a Ford dealer who put the car on a diagnostic but they are saying that the recall is over and it will cost $1,400. for the fix. I bought this car, in June 2025 ;from a used car dealer. I am still paying on it. I never receive a car history of any kind from this dealer. . I had no idea that there were 18 recalls on this vehicle. That is really a lot. If either of these problems were fixed on a recall, could they re-occur again. On this particular fuel re-call, I read that it had to be done again because the first recall fix was not done well. I do not have $1,400. to fix this. I am an [XXX] senior woman and am buying this car for my daughter. It seems to me that one a recall is made that it is a permanent thing until there is an assurance that it is fixed and won't happen again. The failed component is the engine coolant control valve on a 3.0L Duramax truck. The failure has been documented and confirmed by both an independent mechanic and an authorized dealership. The malfunction creates a significant safety hazard. Without warning, the truck will suddenly enter a reduced engine power mode while traveling at normal highway speeds. When this occurs, the vehicle will not
... allow acceleration beyond approximately 50 miles per hour. This is especially dangerous when operating on roadways with speed limits of 70+ mph, as the sudden and unexpected loss of power places myself and surrounding motorists at risk. The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by Steele GMC in Round Rock, Texas. In addition, the vehicle has been inspected by an independent mechanic, both of whom verified the coolant control valve failure. Prior to the initial occurrence of the failure, there were no warning signs. Once the malfunction occurred, the check engine light illuminated. General Motors has issued Service Bulletin #25-NA-185 (revised December 4, 2025), which addresses engine coolant control valve failures on 3.0L Duramax vehicles and outlines the proper diagnostic and repair procedures for this exact failure mode. This bulletin applies to 2021–2026 3.0L Duramax trucks. Additionally, GM has implemented Special Coverage program N252508341 for 3.0L Duramax coolant control valve failures, which extends coverage up to 15 years or 150,000 miles when diagnostics confirm the failure condition. Despite the fact that my vehicle’s documented failure matches the exact conditions described in the above-referenced service bulletin and special coverage program, I was informed by Steele GMC that my specific VIN is not included in the warranty. Given the documented safety risk, the confirmed diagnosis, and the existence of official GM guidance addressing this precise issue, I respectfully request this be reviewed and appropriate coverage or corrective action be authorizedRead more

... mis-fire. Pulling over to the side of the road, I could hear lifter noise from the right bank of the engine. The dealership (Ocean Crest Chevrolet/GMC Warrenton, Oregon) confirmed the damage. The mechanic and the service manager both state the damage is a direct result of the GM cylinder deactivation system, and every single one they have repaired has been cylinder number 4. They further stated that GM has recommended a lifter change when repairing the damage, in other words, the lifters that were installed when the engine was originally built are defective. This damage occurs on both the 5.3 and the 6.2 with cylinder deactivation, and according to the dealership, it begins with cylinder number 4. This problem has also been responsible for cam damage which results in total engine replacement/rebuild due to metal contaminating the oil.Read more
