During an extreme cold event in Interior Alaska (–44°F), the vehicle experienced a sudden emissions‑system failure that triggered an EPA‑mandated Limp Mode, limiting the vehicle to 5 MPH on high‑speed highways. This created an immediate life‑safety hazard because it was impossible to maintain a safe speed or exit the roadway due to snow berms. Prior to the failure, the vehicle displayed
... “Service Emission System” warnings and multiple DTCs related to the reductant heaters and sensors. A dealership technician later confirmed a “burnt pin” at the reductant pump connector, consistent with thermal‑electrical overload. This failure mode matches GM’s TSB 21‑NA‑006, describing connector overheating in cold climates. After the repair, the vehicle continued to exhibit safety‑critical symptoms, including harsh downshifts, delayed engagement, and jerking during deceleration, consistent with Recall 26V083000 (rear‑wheel lock‑up risk). The vehicle also continues to emit an electrical burning odor in cold temperatures, consistent with Recall N192206310 (block‑heater fire risk). The only GM dealership in the region issued a “Termination of Business Relationship,” preventing access to all recall and warranty repairs. This has created a 321‑mile “Service Desert,” making it impossible to obtain federally mandated recall remedies. The vehicle remains unsafe to operate due to unresolved transmission, electrical, and propulsion issues.Read more

On 04/2025 the car was driving fine with no warnings or indication of a problem. Turned my car on at a parking lot and as I was driving away the car suddenly stopped, all the warning lights started coming on. I was able to turn it back on and drove it to a nearby dealer. I am the second owner of the car and Honda dealer said the fuel pump had already been replaced due to a recall. This time they s

This time it was scarier as it shut off as a car was backing up from a parking spot. Fortunately, the driver saw the car and was able to stop before running into me. The car failed to start, and I had to get it towed. Could not tow it to the dealer since it was late in the evening. The next morning, the car did start, but all the warnings continued to flash on the dash. The car is being towed to the dealer where the "repair" was done. All this happening within a year of repairs. This should be a recall and Honda should refund my initial repairs as this is happening to other drivers as well.Read more

The brakes squeal when reversing and sometimes when you’re driving forward coming to a stop. It has done this since the day I picked it up at the dealership. I’ve had to have the radiator rep
... laced twice in this vehicle and it only has 44,000 miles on it. The dealership says it’s a factory defect. Not sure if that’s true or not. It was not covered under warranty so I had to spend $200 to use my extended warranty. I do not think that is right it should’ve been covered under the manufacturers warning, especially if it was a manufacturer defect. The last but most important thing is the lag when you give it gas. This happens from a complete stop or also like if you’re trying to accelerate to get on the highway you can press it nice and slow and it won’t takeoff or you can mash on it all the way to the floor and it still takes a few seconds and then kind of vibrates and pops like it’s trying to skip gears before it takes off and goes. Dealership also says there’s nothing wrong with it. I believe it is a factory defect or some kind of wiring problem. The reason why I think it is a computer or wiring issue is that if you put the vehicle in sport mode, it will not do it coming from a complete stop. It does do it when you’re getting on the highway even in sport mode. I am on a few Facebook forums and I see this problem where people report this problem all the time and ask how to fix it. I would like information on how to get Toyota to buy my vehicle back. These trucks have had so many issues with engine recalls, engine replacement, and other issues that are an actual safety concern and I do not feel like it is a safe vehicle to be traveling with my family. The component that failed appears to be the hybrid propulsion and charging system, including the high-voltage battery management system and/or integrated charging electronics. The vehicle will not accept a charge from any home or public charging source. The high-voltage battery was replaced approximately one year ago; however, the charging failure persists. The vehicle is available for inspection
... upon request. In addition to the charging failure, the vehicle displayed drivetrain malfunction and start/stop malfunction warnings. While driving on the highway at normal speed, the vehicle lost power and stopped, creating a hazardous situation in active traffic. This sudden loss of propulsion placed my safety and the safety of other drivers at risk, as surrounding vehicles were traveling at highway speeds. Prior to the failure, warning messages appeared intermittently, including charging system faults and start/stop malfunction alerts. These warnings began approximately one year ago around the time the charging issue started. The vehicle was previously serviced and the high-voltage battery was replaced; however, the underlying issue was not corrected. The root cause is UNKNOWN, but the symptoms suggest a failure within the hybrid control system, charging module, DC-DC converter, or related electrical components. The failure has been persistent and unresolved. I am concerned that defects within the hybrid propulsion system may lead to additional sudden loss of power events.Read more

At that time, repairs were completed and I was told no additional mechanical concerns were present. The shifter malfunction began after my extended warranty expired (after 20,000 miles). Since the problem began, I have taken the vehicle to a mechanic multiple times. During each visit, a diagnostic scan tool indicated cylinder misfires: First visit: cylinder #1 misfire — I paid for repairs/replacement. Second visit: cylinder #2 misfire — I paid for additional repairs. Third visit: cylinder #3 misfire — I was advised further repairs would be costly and to consider replacing the vehicle. Despite having recently spent $1,500 on these repairs, the shifting malfunction and safety issues have persisted/have not been resolved. I have been unable to safely operate the vehicle for approximately four months due to the risk associated with the transmission/shifter malfunction. I have learned that similar (2014-2017) Jeep Cherokees have been recalled for similar electronic shifter defects. However, my VIN was not included in the recall. Because this defect poses a serious safety risk and appears consistent with known issues, I am requesting an investigation into this failure. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.Read more

In April 2025 my vehicle had a recall (1: SC336 or 25V099), I brought it into a Kia dealership, they said it failed the test, and needed a new engine (i was without a vehicle for weeks, dealership said they did not have any loaners until after 14 days). They then call back weeks later saying the test was faulty, and i could have my car back. They said to keep an eye on it if there are any issues r
... egarding the recall to come back. One morning i started my car, and was driving luckily in a 30mph, my car started to shake, would not speed up/move much, the check engine light came on, almost coming to a complete stop in the middle of a busy road. I was able to move it to the side, turn it off for a bit, once turned back on it was fine. My father who has a background in automotive mechanics checked the oil and noticed there was barely in it- (although just having it been changed) which looks like the oil consumption is fast and going somewhere. I immediately took it to a Kia dealership and they said I would have to go through a whole oil consumption test but it would not be a guarantee fix for engine replacement due to me not going to a dealership, or oil change business. Although my father who changes it, has all the receipts of oil purchase and capability of changing it himself. My oil is changed always in the proper timeline/miles. Which i have a alert on my car to notify me of this. I have noticed the kia does not give an alert when there is "low" oil. I have to drive around with extra oil, and check it almost daily just incase. I am worried that it will stop again but on a busy highway and result in a accident. I am concerned that the recall test was faulty and is resulting in major car issues, for something that is not even that old. As of yesterday i turned my car on and it was shaking and the engine light came on. I have not turned it on since, i will be returning to the dealership today.Read more

I am reporting new issues with my 2025 Toyota Camry that started immediately after the dealer completed the rear-camera recall service. 1. Right-Side Wheel Housing / Suspension Problem Since the recall, the right side of the car makes a loud noise whenever I drive over small bumps or uneven roads. It may be related to the shock absorber possibly leaking fluid, but the exact cause is UNKNOWN. •T
... he part is available for inspection. •This raises a safety concern because it affects stability and may indicate a failing suspension component. •No warning lights appeared. 2. Infotainment Screen Glitch / Electrical Issue After the recall work, the infotainment screen began glitching every time I start the vehicle, and while driving it sometimes shows a large red line across the entire screen. •The issue happens randomly but consistently. •It is distracting and may indicate an electrical or software malfunction caused during the recall repair. •No warning messages appeared before the screen failure. 3. Inspection Status The vehicle has NOT yet been inspected for these new issues by Toyota or any third party. The problems did not exist before the recall and began immediately afterward, although the exact cause is UNKNOWN. I request a full investigation and inspection for safety concerns.Read more
