I am submitting a formal complaint regarding a safety defect in my Evenflo Revolve 360 car seat. The white foam headrest component has completely detached due to what appears to be a failure in the original adhesive. This issue occurred despite proper use and adherence to all manufacturer guidelines. This component is part of the headrest system and plays a role in impact protection. Its detachmen
... t raises serious concerns about the structural integrity and crash performance of the seat. As a result, I no longer feel it is safe to transport my child in this car seat. I want to be clear that I am not comfortable attempting any at-home repair, including gluing the foam back into place, as modifications may compromise the seat’s compliance with federal safety standards and manufacturer specifications.Read more

I am writing to you as a deeply loyal Toyota customer who is facing a distressing and financially significant situation with my 2019 Toyota Highlander. Our family has been committed Toyota owners for several decades. Over the years, we have owned a Toyota Corolla, Camry, and multiple Highlanders — and we currently drive two Toyota vehicles. We have consistently chosen Toyota over other brands b
... ecause of the trust we place in your engineering, reliability, and the value Toyota stands behind. We even replaced all of our Honda vehicles with Toyotas because of that trust. We purchased our 2019 Toyota Highlander during the COVID-19 pandemic, paying above market value because we believed in the Toyota brand and its long-standing reputation for durability. We have never regretted that decision — until now. At approximately 95,000 miles, our Highlander began exhibiting a high-pitched humming noise and gear slippage. We brought the vehicle to our Toyota dealership, who diagnosed the issue as a complete transmission failure. The repair estimate provided was $17,000. We were also informed that this repair would not be covered under any existing warranty. We are not only shocked by the severity and cost of this failure on a well-maintained, 7-year-old vehicle — we are also deeply concerned by what we discovered in our research. There appear to be hundreds of complaints from other Toyota Highlander owners reporting the exact same transmission issue, across the same model years, suggesting this may be a widespread and systemic defect rather than an isolated incident. Given this context, we respectfully ask Toyota to consider the following: 1. A goodwill warranty exception or partial/full coverage of the transmission repair cost, in recognition of our long-standing loyalty and the apparent prevalence of this issue across multiple vehicles. 2. An acknowledgment of the reported pattern of transmission failures in the 2019 Highlander, and whether Toyota is investigating or planRead more

I am reporting multiple safety-related defects on my 2025 Toyota Tundra (approx. 18.5k miles, purchased 07/25). Toyota has been made aware and has not resolved these issues. The most serious defect is deterioration of the driver-side air intake housing. While replacing the air filters, I observed the airbox shedding internal material directly onto the engine air filter. This is not external debri
... s and there are no signs of rodent intrusion, indicating internal component breakdown. This vehicle shares the V35A engine platform, which is subject to recall for debris contamination leading to main bearing failure, engine stall, and loss of drive power. The presence of internally generated debris upstream of the engine creates a credible risk of engine damage or sudden failure while driving. Toyota’s recall documentation confirms debris contamination can cause engine stall and loss of drive power. The windshield cracked during extreme cold weather. The crack originated near the lower edge at the wiper/cowl interface and propagated upward in a pattern consistent with stress or thermal failure, not impact, affecting visibility and structural integrity. Additionally, the lower front bumper trim cracked without meaningful impact, and the rear bumper failed under minimal load in cold conditions. These failures indicate material brittleness and raise concern for reduced crash protection and increased risk of injury in a collision. Other issues include driver-side seat trim cracking and premature paint and trim degradation. Similar failures, including windshield cracking, trim failure, and cold-weather brittleness, are widely reported by other 2022+ Tundra owners, indicating a potential systemic defect. Given the known engine recall and active internal material degradation in the intake system, there is a credible safety risk of engine stall, sudden loss of power at speed, reduced visibility, and increased injury risk due to compromised bumper integrity.Read more

Dear Toyota Japan Customer Experience Team, I am the owner of a 2016 Toyota Tacoma currently registered in Guam, U.S.A. I am writing to request your assistance regarding a water leak issue from the rear brake light area, which has caused the carpets and seats to become wet and develop mold. I originally purchased this vehicle in Saipan and recently relocated to Guam. When I visited the Guam Toyo
... ta Service Center, they kindly inspected my vehicle and informed me that this issue is related to the 3rd brake light gasket recall; however, the recall period has already expired. Unfortunately, I was never notified of this recall while the vehicle was in Saipan. Continuous exposure to mold has seriously affected both my health and my daughter’s health. Because of this, I had the vehicle professionally cleaned and sanitized by a specialist company. The Tacoma has always been our family’s favorite car, but now I drive it only because I have no choice. Every time I get in, I feel anxious and uneasy. The water leak itself is concerning, but the mold issue worries me even more. I truly hope this water leak and the mold problem can both be resolved so that I can once again enjoy driving my Tacoma with peace of mind. The blue circles in the attached photos indicate areas suspected of mold. These photos were taken right before I sent the car for cleaning. According to the cleaning company, when they removed the seats, they found water underneath the seats and carpets. Whenever I drive the vehicle, I experience persistent coughing and headaches due to mold exposure. This has become a serious health and safety concern. Since this issue is directly related to a previously recalled safety defect, I kindly request Toyota Japan to consider a Goodwill Repair or Safety Exception to address the water leak and the resulting interior damage.Read more

After driving IN RAIN for about 27 Miles then idling in slow traffic, vehicle started running poorly, stalled and would not run properly. Got "Reduced Engine Power, Visit Your Dealer Message". Engine would start but stall when put in drive. I held up traffic for several minutes. After several minutes of restarting and stalling, I ran engine in park for 2000-3000 rpm for about a minute. The car

Toyota TSB T-TT-0763-24 appears to describe this issue but it does not appear to have a real resolution for this. It is 'under investigation' Just replacing the sensor, if it is just another one of the same type does not give me confidence that this dangerous condition may not happen again. The vehicle experienced a transmission failure at approximately 62,000 miles, which required a transmission replacement. Toyota replaced the transmission with a rebuilt transmission. Immediately after the repair, the vehicle began experiencing multiple issues that were not present prior to the repair. The vehicle initially would not reverse, and the battery was drained shortly after the repair wa
... s completed. Following the repair, the vehicle has continued to experience ongoing electrical malfunctions, including dashboard warning lights, system alerts, and dash lights flashing during remote start. The vehicle has also developed a rattling noise underneath the vehicle. The exact failed component has not been clearly identified. The dealership has provided changing diagnoses and has not provided written diagnostic documentation despite requests. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership multiple times; however, the issues have not been resolved. During a recent diagnostic, the dealership stated that the catalytic converter is now the issue, but this does not address the ongoing electrical problems. These issues raise safety concerns due to unpredictable vehicle behavior and potential failure of critical systems while driving.
