235/55R 18 I took my car for a tire rotation at a tire shop. I was told that the right front tire was not good so I asked to be replace with another new tire I had, which was exactly the same Yokohama tire my car had on. When I drove off the shop the tire started making a weird loud noise so I drove back to the shop. They switch the tire to the rear and there I noticed that was a different tire,
... not the new tire I have provided them. I asked the guys where my tire was and why they had switched it with an old-use worn tire. They denied doing so and refused to give me back my tire. Besides putting a used-worn out tire, the tire also has a different speed rate than the rest of my tires. Since it is raining in Houston and having different speed tires is itself dangerous, I found this improper and in disregard of putting my safety in danger. My tire was a Yokohama Brand; The shop switched it to a worn-used Dimax brand with a different speed.Read more

While driving with the adaptive cruise control, the vehicle displayed a hazard warning and beeping to take control of the vehicle. These messages would go away after turning the vehicle off, but woul

No cruise control, no blind spot detection, and lights and warnings have been constant on my dash. I took it to the Ford dealership and they did not have any recalls on the vehicle. They said that they reset the IPMA and did a IPMA alignment. They test drove for 6 miles and all of the warnings came back on. They advised that another software update is coming in April. They reset the IPMA again and said that when it comes back on to contact them after the new update comes. I called Ford Warranty Customer Service and they advised that the vehicle is still under warranty and to take it to a Ford dealership. I told them that I did that and that the dealership is unsure of the problem and guessed that the upcoming update could fix it. I told them that I'm driving a vehicle right now that the dealership fully expects will go into a fault again while driving. I also raised concern that I drive a lot of miles and my warranty could expire before they have a confirmed repair for this problem. The reply was to take it to a Ford dealership.Read more

Ford Motor Company issued a Customer Satisfaction Program 20N07 for engine and 6F35 transmission, also CSP 20B27 in October 2020. It states that: "this program extends the warranty coverage of the automatic transmission torque converter for (12) months from the RO date of Powertrain Control Module reflash under Customer Satisfaction Program 20B27 (I bought vehicle 2/2021). It also states that: "the vehicles covered by this program are Ford Explorers 2016-2019 from assembly plants Louisville and Chicago, build dates Sept. 29, 2014 through March 3, 2019. However, FORD is not honoring the Customer Satisfaction Program. This was very dangerous as vehicles were speeding past us. We stayed in the vehicle until an officer arrived. Then about 15mins later the tow truck arrived and made the area safe with cones and flashing lights. I did put my hazard lights on but in the middle of the day it was very hard to see. AAA was able to disengage the parking to neutral as he mentioned that he just towed another Denali off the road. This is a huge concern for my family and me. I didn’t get to see how he did it because I was with my daughter safe in the Tow Truck. AAA then towed the truck to Penske GMC in Cerrito Auto Square and arrived at 1:48pm. Service advisor then said to leave at garage door and will assess the vehicle tomorrow morning. I have personally owned two of these vehicles and experienced the occasional P0452 check engine light which when diagnosed by a licensed shop pointed to this fuel evap system issue. Subaru has finally acknowledged that this is a known issue and issued the TSB, however they have not yet issued a recall. The repairs for this issue are expensive and the symptoms are an occasional check engine light. I am concerned because this issue is not easily detectable and is expensive to repair. Since this involves the fuel tank and fuel vapors tubes I am concerned there might be a fire risk or health risk, but since there is no recall issued I don't know if it can be ignored or needs immediate attention. Subaru does cover this repair under 3 yr / 30k mile warranty but with the irregular symptoms it is hard to detect and diagnose it and Subaru only issued the TSB in Jan 2024 when the 2021 model became 3 years old and out of warranty. It seems like Subaru knew about the issue but didn't want to address it under warranty so they issued the TSB only after all the cars were out of warranty and only now when the consumers have to pay out of pocket are they diagnosing it correctly. Also, this issue triggers the check-engine light only occasionally and at random, and when the light goes on all the vehicle safety aids like pre-collision braking and rear cross traffic warnings are disabled. I think this is dangerous because drivers tend to get used to having those features.Read more
