Ford issued Program #15N01 EPAS STEERING EFFORTS in 2015 (information sent to PRIOR OWNER). Prior owner had PCM reprogrammed 02/15/2017. November 2024 - Power Steering Assist Fault Notice came on. Power Steering completely locked up and vehicle inoperable. Unable to steer vehicle and potentially cause accident and harm to self or others. Current owner (me) had vehicle towed to Ford dealership.

Per FORD Safety Recall Notice 15S185 Supplement #3, "This safety recall involves reprogramming the Power Steering Control Module (PSCM), or replacing the steering gear only if there is evidence that certain Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) exist or were previously set, but are no longer present, regardless of vehicle mileage or warranty start date. If the steering gear is not replaced, the owner will be provided extended coverage of the steering gear under program code 15N01. This extended coverage provides for one-time replacement of the steering gear if certain DTCs are present, for up to 10 years of service or 150,000 miles from the warranty start date of the vehicle, whichever occurs first. If a vehicle has already exceeded the mileage limit, this program will last through December 31, 2015 for eligible owners. The extended coverage is automatically transferred to subsequent owners". Ford denied the coverage and the cost was $3,100.00 to replace steering gear. The recall clearly states that the coverage exists if the reprogramming was done and the issue continued, regardless of the time frame.Read more

The battery recall from Jeep still does not have any tentative timeline and no further communications from Jeep. At this point, Jeep has not offered any compensation towards the gas costs which otherwise could have been much less with electricity. Safety is my primary concern and I have to rent vehicles for the major trips especially during the holiday months.

They could not replicate the circumstance and insist on releasing the car as safe to drive; putting my family and the public at great risk. The dealership refuse to even run diagnostics on the faulty identified part. They said if they cannot recreate the problem they won’t fix it, even though they see the error code on their scanner. They shouldn’t be telling me the car is safe when it is clearly not. They only drove it 30 miles and did not check wiring or even pop the hood. They have done no work to deem it safe and this is fraud. Rochelle, the service manager, has told us over the phone that she will not work on the car, because she believes she will not be reimbursed for the work. She has said she has had the car for too long and wants it picked up. Her service advisor Erik, has read us the codes found over the phone and also told us that no one has worked on it and only has test driven it. Our greatest concern is the dealership is not servicing or repairing vehicles and putting very dangerous cars on the road. This is a public safety issue for all of Southern California. Additionally, this car was purchased with a full manufacturer’s bumper-to-bumper warranty, of which it is still in its covered in the next 3 years or 40,000 miles. The car revved up then nearly stalled about 3 times then threw a check engine light for a random cylinder misfire and disabled the forward collision warning system. The first recall email I got was on 12/19/23, in January 2024 I realized I started to have an issue with my fuel pump. So I called my local Honda dealership to get the part replaced at that point they said they didn’t have to part and to check back in a few months. They said it would take 3-4 hours to fix. I had my boyfriend drive the car to the appt as I am [XXX]. The appt took only 1hr to complete. They said it was done and gave the keys back to him and he left. The car seemed fine to drive in the beginning then about 10 minutes of driving it started back up. Chrysler customer care tried various times to reach service team at sterling heights dodge - they would not take call or call him back. he finally reached someone who told him that i need to come by and they can look at my car and then after I could see receptionist to then make appt. he said it doesn't make sense for me to go there twice. I did call and make appt and have gotten the run around since. Chrysler customer care told me I would qualify to have this fully covered since I was just over warranty (now at 65K miles since months has passed since this first occurred in July (60,250 miles) and because I was the original owner and mentioned something about a 2-year grace. However, the goodwill warranty came back only covering 70% and making me responsible for 30%. This is ridiculous - this is just a start or continuation of more costly major repairs, and I cannot afford to keep this car any longer but need to get this fixed so I can trade it in or sell it and get a new car with a different automaker. I cannot get Chrysler customer care to call me back nor is the dealership willing to help. Have a 2016 Nissan rogue with about 49,000 miles. About two months ago, started experiencing judder when truck got above 50 miles an hour. Took it to a local mechanic where they performed a diagnostic and let us know there was a transmission problem. ... 11/12/2024, called Nissan USA, spoke to Ashley in their consumer affairs department where a claim was opened. Ashley took information on the truck and based on the mileage said there was a possibility of a goodwill being offered. The truck had to be taken to one of Nissan’s service locations to have a diagnostics performed which was done on 11/20/2024. Once done and $200 later, Nissan confirmed that the transmission had to be replaced for about $8000. Consumer affairs received the diagnostic report and made the decision that despite the low mileage, they could not extend the warranty as a courtesy to us. I find it unfair that I have a vehicle that was drivable a few weeks ago, and with no fair warning, started having the same transmission problems that Nissan was sued for and settled for the same make and model. Infotainment screen goes blank all the time. Nothing at all on the screen including back up camera. Now it is causing the other sensors not to work so you don't know if you are close to hitting something. Honda has had this issue now for years.

the engine failed and lost all power to the car. It is available for inspection. My safety was put at risk because if i was going on a freeway and freeway speeds i probably would have crash and potentially crash into other people, causing a huge safety issue.
